Futsal

Barnabas, Belle, Clarissa, Sports 4 Comments »

This is the continuation of our Sunday. After the Baju-less at the Beach episode, we went home for lunch then to my mom’s house for some cartoons; my house has no Astro. We left them there and went to clean our apartment that has recently been vacant. Anyone looking for Holiday Apartment in Melaka? Look for me okay. :D

By 5pm, hubby went for futsal. To those who never seen a futsal shoe, here is how the studs look like. Slightly different from the soccer shoe. Psst..this is my first time too! :)

After hubby left, I went to fetch my children. B & C just woke up from their nap but A did not nap at all. So, to get them away from the square box, I brought them to watch their daddy play futsal.

See how they unconsciously arranged themselves…like Do Re Mi. :D

This is my first time too watching futsal live.

Footballers in the Making

bas

I like this one. No need to stop to drink water. And if there is any pile of cowdung on the field that comes his way, can use the bulldozer in his hand to push it away.

sasa

Clarissa prefers to just bounce on the ball.

belle

Belle can dribble the ball quite well eh. She played with her daddy a few times and she must be a fast learner too.

Paintball for Children

Fun, Sports No Comments »

Normally those I see playing the paintball is the adult that wants to realize their childhood dream of playing combat combat. When I was very small, I have my collection of the green combats too. Normally I will play them by myself because there is a 4 years gap between myself and my 1st sibling. When I grew a lil bit older, I played with my uncles. Instead of the paintball, they make their own pistol using the guava branches and the fruit as the seeds. It is very painful if you got hit by the “bullet”.

Thank God now we have the paintball. With their attire and proper equipment by dye paintball and other major brands, the player do not have to suffer so much paint playing combat games.

Swimming Club

Finance, Health, Sports No Comments »

Before the maid came we were planning that once she is here we would start swimming again. The children would have to stay behind with the maid while we swim. They are too young to tag along.

Now after the maid is here, for almost 4 months already we have not step foot at the swimming pool. Reason being, the public swimming pool is quite far from our house.

Another option is to join the hotel’s swimming club. Maybe with Sports Credit Card Offers, we could get discount on the membership fee. I better give them a call. If not, no swimming until I became a huge fat lady. :P

Family of Runners

Family, Sports No Comments »

My children’s daddy love sports. Almost all his brothers are runners and sportsmen too. I think it was due to chasing rats and being chased by the dog when they were young. Oh oh! Maybe they always got chase but their dad when they did not heed his call to help him with the planting of paddy.

If I were to live in US or rich enough to fly him to US, I might surprise him with the Miami Heat Tickets as Valentine’s gift. Now I am wondering what he will get me for Valentine’s or would he buy me anything.

Watch Super Bowl Live

Sports No Comments »

Since I have 3 children, not only I don’t have time to exercise, to watch my favorite game on TV also no time. Due to it, I am getting unfit and fatter each day. I wish someone would surprise me with the super bowl tickets then I could catch the next flight and treat that as my 2nd honeymoon. Wouldn’t that be great ya? :) To be able to watch a football game live. It must be very “chi kek” with all the cheering, shouting and eating hotdogs. Oh well, that is only a wish. Meantime I tried to steal sometime to watch them on TV.

Donate Boat

Dove, Finance, Sports No Comments »

As Melaka (or also known as Malacca) would have its own Marine Theme Park in 2 years time, I am sure there would be an increase of marine based activities. Come to think of it, Melaka was famous for its port in the past. It was the most important port in the South East Asia region because of its strategic location. The Straits of Malacca was named after Malacca. The past is past and marine activities has decline until now. Hopefully with the Marine Theme Park, marine activities would increase in Malacca.

Talking about marines, there is one organization that is asking people to Donate Boat to the organization. Yes, boat donations. The organization is involved in helping children and youths and is looking for various supports from the public. One of the ways that they raise supports for their programs is by accepting boat donations and then sells the boat on ebay. With the sales they want to create and distribute absolutely free of charge Children’s Animation DVDS.

Maybe when the marine theme park is completed and I have my own boat or canoe. I am thinking of going for canoeing with my husband along the Melaka coast. Once we can afford a few other boats, I can Donate my Boat to Boatangel for their programs.

Love Swimming

Family, Home, Sports No Comments »

I love to swim, hubby too. I hope my children would love to swim too. When I was pregnant with Belle I swim after the 1st trimester until she is 7 months old in my belly. The only pregnant woman in the public pool! It was fun, swimming when you are pregnant. Easily float! hahaha. Due to it, I love going to the 12 feet and let myself sink then float up again. :)

I did hint to hubby to hire people like the phoenix pool builders to build own private pool since we have such huge compound. You know what he told me. “Go swim in the fish pond lar, we have 3 of them. You can choose either one.” Grrr….

Btw, our fish pond is not the small ones, they are huge fish pond. If I am not mistaken, it is 20 by 40 feet each. :D

Promises and Disappointment

Entertainment, Fun, Parenting, Sports No Comments »

I always make promises with my children and hubby always rebuke me not wanting them to be disappointed if I can’t keep my promises. Children have very good memory especially if you promise them something that they really like.

For instance, if you promises them that you will get the Miami Heat Tickets to watch their favorite player play but all tickets are sold out that day. Just imagine how disappointed they will be.

I have good news to parent who are willing to spend a lil bit more. You can get your tickets from Premium Seats USA. They have huge selection of first-class tickets to all concerts, sports and theater events nationwide. Your children will never be disappointed again.

After My Footstep

Menceceh, Sports No Comments »

I wonder whether my children will follow after my footstep to be very active in sports especially Softball/Baseball. I did not follow my dad’s footstep. He plays Gasing (Tops). That is a man’s game. But I inherited his strong arms. My sister inherited his strong arms too. She was the state player for Squash. My brother is not active in sports at all!

Belle is quite the ladylike type, I doubt she would want to hit the ball and run under the hot sun but I am sure my lil Clarissa would. I can see myself in her! :) I am imagining if we were living in US, we would be sitting in the living room, going through the Yankees Spring Training Schedule to pick a date for our mother and daughter outing; watching Baseball game. :)

Swimming with Coconut

Family, Sports No Comments »

The pool that I recently bought for my girls has holes in them! They only use it not even 3 times. I lend it to my niece and nephew and it came back with a few holes.

Well, I do have a huge compound here. If I have the means, I can even make a swimming pool. Actually I did discuss with hubby about it. Even if we can afford to hire az pool remodeling, the maintenance would be a problem coz we have lotsa trees around. Today it is clean then the next day, the pool will be filled with coconuts!

Swing Like A Pro

Family, Menceceh, Sports No Comments »

My dad plays golf because he worked in a golf course since the day I was born. I still remember him teaching me how to swing the golf club. Many times he told me to swing gently. Don’t over swing it. I thought must swing with all my might to get the golf ball fly. But he did not explain the reason behind it.

According Physical Therapist, Jim Clark, there are ways to avoid over-swinging. One of it is controlling how the joints are allowed to move. With the author’s extensive knowledge about the brain, joints, and muscles, he developed The Perfect Golf Swing which allows one to know exactly how his body should move to strike a golf ball with consistent power and accuracy.

You might be the next Tiger Woods if you really practice on your golf swing with the tips provided by Jim Clark.

Soccer - Live or On Demand

Family, Sports No Comments »

It amazes me that when it comes to sports, it knows no boundaries. My husband who plays soccer every Sunday evening would comes back and tells me news and bits of what is happening with the church soccer team. Even last Sunday they had a friendly game with another youth group. This was not planned. The other youngsters were there to play soccer too and since their number is enough to form a team, the church soccer team decided to play a friendly game with them. The church soccer team won the game by 4-0. Hubby also told me that he even played for the other team during the second half. Hahaha…he played against his own team. So in a way, hubby won and lost at the same time. I guess what is more important is that everybody enjoys the game, not so much of winning or losing.

While we were having supper last night, there was a soccer game shown on the television. It was the game between Malaysia and Bahrain. Hubby mentioned that most of the soccer team boys watched live soccer matches from England and Europe. They would talk about the soccer games from Spain, Italy, England, Argentina and many other soccer leagues. I think if they have registered for seriea.tv they would really enjoy watching the show. They can watch it live or if time does not permit, they can even watch it on demand. The cost to sign up for the service is quite low given the high-quality streaming content of the games. Furthermore there are exclusive games that are not available legally from any other source. The only setback is that they must have internet broadband service or they would not be able to watch the games.

Run in Kona

Family, Holiday, LoLa, Sports No Comments »

Hubby’s siblings were all runners. When I was in primary school, we attended the same school and that is how I got to know this family of runners. I wonder how their parent train them when they were young. Chase after ratatouille in the paddy field? Being chased by the dogs or maybe they started by chasing chickens around the house compound.

However, once they started working and have their own family, they hardly run nor jog. However hubby still has the desire to start running again and that is why he kept his body fit by playing football every Sunday and work out on the Ab King Pro. He said if he ever get the chance to stay in Kona vacation rentals, he would want to participate in the world event in Kona that attracts people from all over the world that is the Ironman Triathlon World Championship.

Firstly, the contestants have to swim accros the 2.4 mile seawater which begins at the Kailua Pier and stretches out into the bay. Secondly, it is followed by a 112 mile bike ride across the Hawaiian lava desert to Hawi and back, and thirdly, ending with a 26 7/32 mile marathon along the coast of the Big Island (from Keauhou to Keahole Point to Kailua-Kona), finishing on Ali’i Drive.

I think he needs months of training before thinking to book his stay at Kauai Vacation Rentals for places to stay in Kona. If you are interested too, you can read more about it from Kona Travel Blog.

Nike Golf

Sports No Comments »

Thank God my hubby doesn’t play golf. If not the children won’t be seeing him on weekends. Morning play golf, evening play football and at night he will be working at the internet cafe. Besides that he still can’t afford to spend that much to go golfing.

I heard that some golfers really spend buying expensive and branded golf sets like Nike golf. I am sure it comes with quality too. I wonder if my dad use Nike golf clubs he will get more hole in one.
