Prom Dresses

prom

The above prom dresses is chosen by Clarissa, my 3.5yo! She does have good taste ya. :)

It is scary how my children are growing up like a bullet train right before my eyes. Today Belle corrected Clarissa’s English, Clarissa reminded me to love her more and Barnabas do not want be referred as a baby. Soon they will be going to primary school then secondary and before I know it they will be asking me to buy them their homecoming dresses. I hope that Belle will slim down by then, if not she has to pick one from the plus size dresses! hehe.

Handbag and Watch

Family, Shopping No Comments »

The Angpow that I gave my mom, you know what she bought with it? A handbag to put more Angpows for my youngest sister’s wedding this November! We brought her shopping the next day because she told us that she wanted to buy a new handbag.

Ok…like any other woman, my mom does have a few handbags; it is not unusual for her to add to her collection. But why now, in May? Normally when she buys handbag it would be for Chinese New Year. That is the time of the year that she will usually buy a new handbag. Then it strikes my mind when she told me that she needed a big handbag to keep the Angpows. It is for my sister’s wedding.

I wonder whether she would want a new watch to match with her new handbag. The baume mercier collection is nice but I need sacrifice my one month salary in order to buy one. Talking about watch, I have not been changing my watch since 1998. Yup! Have been wearing the same watch for 10 year already. Very faithful and durable watch I have, ya? :) Actually I am still waiting for someone to give me a new watch. Hehe.

I Have A Lot of Money in My Elephant

Clarissa, Finance, Parenting, Shopping No Comments »

The other day I went out to buy breakfast with Clarissa but she kept urging me to bring her go shopping. I told her that I do not have extra money for that. She then told me that she has a lot of money. I asked. “Where?” “In my elephant” she replied. That’s hubby’s piggy bank! Thank God she did not claim our checking account hers yet!

Sports Shoe

sports shoe

This is Clarissa’s first sports shoe. If not because of our coming Genting trip, I would not buy the shoe. It is because Clarissa prefers tappy tappy shoe than “boys” shoe.

Price: RM29.90. Size: 9.

Shopping with Mommy

Belle, Business, Family, Food, Parenting, Shopping 2 Comments »

Hubby buzz me on Gmail chat that his staff not coming to work tonight. So hubby has to work the whole day. Asking me to bring some clothes for him. I went with Belle coz Clarissa was taking her nap, Barnabas was at my mom’s. After he bathe, Belle and myself went shopping to buy “loose hamper” for my parent and ingredients for Nestum Cookies that I plan to make tomorrow. You see I don’t like to buy those ready made hamper coz most of the things are are not my preference and they are expensive.

Before we shop, we fill our tummy at KFC. Belle’s choice. “Mommy, I don’t want ice cream. It is not good for my stomach. My stomach is painful now. I need to eat a little bit. I like chicken.” :D Don’t you wish all our children is like Belle? hehe

kfc

We shared a plate of X-Meal. Chicken for Belle and Zinger for Mommy.

Why can’t we get like this???

xmeal

Ours looks so “dead”.

Anyway, I am hungry now! Waiting for hubby to come back to go for supper. That will be after 1am!!! No wonder I am FAT! :P

I was busy looking for the stuff in my invisible shopping list (hehe) and Belle kept pestering me to buy her hamster.

“Mommy, I want a hamster, let’s find the hamster house.”
“Mommy told you that you will only get a hamster when you are 7yo. How old are you now?”
“5yo but 5yo also can Mommy.”

To shut her up, I told her that she can buy one thing in the shopping centre. Not toys but something edible. Of all the junk food that she can pick, she chose Ferrero Rocher. “Belle, this chocolate is expensive lar, what about this one?” showed her Vochelle.

rocher

Shake her head, “I want this one. This one very nice Mommy.” Why lar you got so expensive taste??? What to do, promised her already right? Buy lor. :(

bottle

I also bought a smaller purple water bottle for Clarissa coz her current one is too big. Also bought a pink one for Belle coz hers leak from the top that caused her book to get wet.

On the way down from Giant, she grabbed a donut. One small drumstick ain’t enough for Belle. :P

Hey, Valentine’s is Coming too

Family, Menceceh, Shopping No Comments »

Hey, I just realised that Valentine’s day is just a week after Chinese New Year. I totally forgotten about it as I was only thinking about the Chinese New Year celebration and my resignation date. hehe.

Thank God couponchief.com reminded me. Now I need to head to the website and try to dig the best Valentine’s gift for my children’s daddy.

I wonder whether he would be happy if I get the diet plan from Weight Watchers. His tummy is growing too!

Or chocolates from Fannie May. If he doesn’t want it, his children are always there to help. I will around too when he opens his gift. Family must share right? hehe.

Carrefour in Malacca

Belle, Clarissa, Parenting, Shopping 10 Comments »

I think this is the reason Clarissa slept during class in kindy.

We brought them to check out the newly opened Carrefour on school day. We don’t like going town on weekends due to the jams and crowds. So happened on that day, they did not take their nap too.

This was what happened during the 20 mins journey there.

sleep

Hubby and I were talking. We were thinking of upgrading the Internet Cafe to a real cafe by getting espresso machines but then I wonder whether it would sell since most of our customers are Malay who are not into “expensive” coffee. Oh well, it was just a thought.

As we were chatting, my girls wanted to talk too but we told them to wait till we finished. By the time we ended our conversation, there was silence. I was expecting Belle to start asking her questions.

When I look back, this was what I saw first.

sleeping

Then I turn my back, I saw this.

sleeping1

This is how they shared the small space on the back seat of my old junk.

On not so sleepy days, they will be fighting for the space. This shows that they are way too sleepy to fight!

Purple Boots

Clarissa, Shopping 2 Comments »

boots

Look I finally found something really PURPLE for Clarissa. A boots and she really loves it. And…I bought that for only RM12.90.

Actually it was an unplanned purchase. We were just lingering at the shopping complex after lunch and I spotted the boots at the shoe shop. From what I know, boots are expensive but when I took a peep. Wow! It is so cheap. Must be made in China!

Get Clarissa to try and it fits her well.

That will be her CNY shoe. :D

Barnabas 2nd Shoe

Barnabas, Parenting, Shopping 3 Comments »

shoe

Bear with me for another shoe post.

This is Barnabas 2nd pair of shoe after he is 18 mths old. Since he goes out often now his first shoe get dirty and wet almost everyday. So most of the time, he will end up barefooted.

slipon

Yesterday, I saw him wearing and walking in Clarissa’s blue and girly slip on. Eh…not bad, he can wear slip on already. Good lar, no need to buy more shoe for him. His sisters have a lot of slip ons. :P

Pink Tappy Shoe For Belle

Belle, Shopping No Comments »

She saw one pink tappy shoe. She tried it on.

“Mommy look, it fits me.” I look at the price, RM15.90.
“Mommy, expensive or not?”
“Nope, you can have it.”
“But wait. Try a size bigger Belle.”
“But it’s too long, Mommy. This one fits just nice.”

Ok lar, since one pair of shoe does not last till her feet outgrew it, buy lar the shoe that fits. :P

The shoe is supposed to be kept until CNY but Belle sandal’s snapped when she ran to the washroom. My mom wanted to buy her a slipper to replace it but she told my mom that she already has a shoe with me.

Belle, you ah, let Mama buy a pair of slipper for you lar. Then you would have 2 news pairs of shoe.

No Shoes For Clarissa

Clarissa, Shopping No Comments »

It is so difficult to buy shoes for Clarissa. She is so picky and most the shoes that she really likes are not for her age, for older kids. Her eyes are on those high heels.

So we were at Jusco yesterday, she tried by herself almost every shoe within her reach. We just stood aside and watch.

Tried one…she saw another one…remove…put it back…try another one…she saw another one…remove…put it back…try another one…

And the cycle continues until I told her that almost everything she has tried and we will check out other place and look for purple shoe. Just the mentioned of her favorite colour, Purple, she obliged and left the children’s shoe department.

She returned home without any shoe this time.

Selling Used Toys

Business, Family, Shopping No Comments »

Now I “fear” bring my girls shopping. The first place they run too is the toys department and they will not move until they are satisfied that all things that they want are expensive. Especially Belle, she will pick up a toy, show to me and ask, “Mommy, is this expensive?” “Yes, it is expensive.” That will be my reply to ALL the toys she showed me. :P

With the amount of toys at home, I could start an online shop selling used toys! Have you come across website that sells secondhand or used toys? I don’t mind buying good quality used toys actually if the price is cheap. Maybe I should start one using the shopping cart software from Ashop Commerce. Its award winning features allows merchant to set up an online store capable of competing with the webs most powerful sites for a simple, low monthly fee. If I start it, make you support me ah? :)

Jusco Sale

Barnabas, Belle, Clarissa, Family, Shopping 2 Comments »

Since Jusco having Sale, I better go there and sapu whatever than I can find for my children’s CNY outfit. After Christmas, I am sure we can’t get many good bargains. New Year, everything will be new and price also sure new ones and higher ones; blame it on the petrol price. :P

Since the maid decided to follow MIL and BIL go for a dinner at a temple, I dragged my mom and 2nd sister along with me to Jusco. At least I have my mom to keep her eye on my girls and I can carry Barnabas. Their daddy has to work coz his staff is a Muslim, celebrating Hari Raya Haji.

Got good bargain and also not so good but no choice coz I have one cute-cute (her teacher call Clarissa by that name) girl with me that does not fit in those unbranded clothing! She makes Mommy broke! :P

Shopping with My Girls

Belle, Clarissa, Parenting, Shopping 1 Comment »

I took leave from work today because I overslept. So I decided to go for Chinese New Year shopping with my girls.

I like shopping for clothes at this time of the year. Lotsa sales everywhere and the clothings are much nicer than when CNY is nearing which is mostly red and “Chinese”.

After today’s experience shopping with both girls without hubby, no more shopping without hubby. I ended not buying anything for myself. Just a pair for Clarissa and 2 pairs for Barnabas.

The rest of the time I spent telling them to take off the shoes and stop trying every shoes they see on the shelf. Bringing them to the washroom to shee-shee and ngk ngk; all at different time. Then chasing them around; especially Clarissa, she really runs!

The only time they stay put is when we were at McD and they playing with their toy pony that they demanded me to buy when I was busy looking for their clothes; they busy looking for toys!

We reached home, exhausted. I nap and they nap without me telling them too. :D

Just You and Us

us

Look Clarissa! It is only you and us; no Jie-Jie Annabelle, no Barnabas . This is your pre-birthday gift from Mommy and Daddy. A time to be our “only child”. :)

Mommy decided to bring you out for pizza after finding out from Mama that you like pizza which is Mommy’s favorite too. Mommy is so delighted to know that you like pizza too. Now Mommy got companion when Mommy crave for pizza coz the rest of them don’t like pizza. You surely have Mommy’s taste bud. :D

In the car on the way to Pizza Hut, you were very happy and very chatty too knowing that you can get all our attention. We know that, that is what you long for; our undivided attention. Mommy will try to bring you out often, just us, when time permits.

Enjoying your appetizer; mushroom soup.

delighted

Just look at your expression. So happy to enjoy the ice cream all by yourself. Oh ya, you ate the eyes, and the nose first then followed by the ears. :)

After that we went for grocery shopping at Giant.

One the way home, we talked about you. About how it was so easy to give birth to you and care for you when you were a baby. Mommy was telling daddy that Mommy don’t mind giving birth to 10 like you. You are way too independent. Almost everything you want to do them by yourself. Mommy thinks ah, you pushed yourself out from Mommy’s tummy. That is why it only takes 9 mins to deliver you!

Mommy just wanna to remind you again and again that Mommy will always love you. Can you not be too independent? Sometimes…ok…most of the time Mommy felt not wanted, no needed. :P

Generous with Mommy’s Money

Belle, Parenting, Shopping 3 Comments »

Belle came in the car (yesterday) telling me that

“Alvin wants a Spiderman sticker, Mommy. You buy 2 ok? One Spiderman and One Barbie.”

I was like, “Ermmm? Huh??? Did you tell Alvin that Mommy will buy Spiderman sticker for him?”

“Yes Mommy, you buy 2 ok?”

“Hey, you think your Mommy got a lot of money eh?”

“Yes.”

*hit my head on the steering wheel*

I imagined how she told him…

“Alvin, you want Spiderman sticker or not? My mommy will buy for you.”

I am sure she used the above line coz during playtime she always say the same to her sister.

Since Clarissa need to see the doctor; she is having fever and mouth ulcer again (suck finger punya pasal lar), we went to hunt for stickers at the same time. We went to mini market, don’t have. We went to Bintang shopping centre, don’t have. We went to 7 Eleven, don’t have. We peeped into the cake house; they have stickers but no Spiderman but Princesses stickers, Tweety bird and Pooh and Friends. They have only one Princesses sticker left; Belle grabbed that and Clarissa just settled for the Tweety bird.

Later that night, we went to Giant because there was black out in my kampong. The whole kampong was in darkness. Hubby couldn’t fix the generator so I suggested we just go somewhere. I am sure after 2 hours the power supply will be back. I pick Giant because there is a playground there which everyone can play for free.
.
Belle really thinks of her promise to her “boyfriend” Alvin. She kept her eyes wide opened for Spiderman sticker coz I did tell her that maybe bigger shopping complex like Tesco or Giant might have it. She immediately spotted one when we were on the way to the playground but I told her that we buy later. Unfortunately, by the time we came down, the shop already closed. Hehe…selamat duit gua. :P

Suspicion

Belle, Parenting, Shopping No Comments »

Since the day hubby and me sneak out for midnight shopping when the girls are still awake, Belle is very suspicious when I leave the bedroom. She thinks that I will go shopping again!

I walked out the room once Barnabas felt asleep. That’s my normal routine. The girls will doze off by themselves. And I will be with my laptop to blog.

But two nights ago in the room, Belle was crying very loudly and wanted to vomit. When her daddy went in to look, she said that her last finger is painful. Hubby brought her out to take a look at it.

No signs of bites. I think she just wanna find excuses to come out and check on us! To see whether we are still around or gone shopping already!

Shopping with my girls

Belle, Clarissa, Parenting, Shopping No Comments »

Last Friday, I brought my girls shopping. Just me and my girls. So nice to have girls to drag along when going shopping. Actually I just wanted to look for nail polish remover. So I went to Guardian pharmacy. As I was looking up there for nail polish, my girls were looking down there for eye shadow! Belle picked one box that has 2 colours, pink and purple. Pink for her and Purple for Clarissa. Good choices as those are their favorite colour.

eyeshadow

Then we went to Giant and I was dragged by them to the kids section. They got their eyes on the collection of Barbie Sunglasses! It is not cheap you know, $19.98 a pair! I wonder whether I can get them at half the price from Wholesale Sunglasses, those replica ones.

Oh well, let them indulge while mommy still have money from writing paid post. Besides sunglasses, they helped themselves for a pair of watch too! Thank God it is only $4.90 each. If not, I will the one showing tantrum and ROTF and cry instead if them!

Shopping makes my day

Menceceh, Shopping No Comments »

I love to go shopping. Even my husband notices that. There was once when I was not feeling well, having flu and slight headache. When I reached home from work that day, hubby asked me whether I want to go shopping. I was quite surprised because he seldom asks me to go out shopping. I asked him why the sudden change. He told me that if we go shopping, I would be feeling much better. As much as I want to deny it, I have to agree with him. We went shopping that day and I went back home feeling much better, just as my hubby had said.

Bratz Hair Magic Doll

Now that Thanksgiving and Christmas is around the corner, I would be going shopping more often. Well, you may say that it is more than a month before Christmas but I can assure you that it would arrive sooner than expected. I love to shop but I hate to queue up to pay for the merchandise. My husband on the other hand would prefer to shop online. He told me about black-friday.net where I can buy merchandise from various stores during the Black Friday promotions. Most of the stores would kick off the Christmas season sales on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. The good thing about this website is that you can be notified via email when new ads are posted by various stores. You get to buy the things you want without the hassle to queue up. I think I will get the Bratz Hair Magic Doll for my two daughters. I’m sure they would love it very much.

How To Choose The Best Wireless Intercom System For Your Home Or Business

Business, Home, Shopping No Comments »

One of the main factors that people would consider when they are buying a product is the cost factor. They want the cheapest possible product and expect the best quality possible for that product. This is the main mindset of the people. Unfortunately, in most cases the cheapest product is normally made of low quality materials or it does not provide the best quality service. I have used many products that were made in China. I used the word “were” because most of these products are no longer in use. Generally, the products made in China especially the electrical items are very cheap. However, it does not last long and in certain products the safety requirements are ignored. No, I am not against products made in China but I am just sharing my experience and giving an example.

Likewise, it is the same with wireless intercom system. If you asked me about wireless intercom system yesterday, I would know nothing much about it. But with the article by David Onslow who is the marketing director at IntercomsOnline.com, I do know more about wireless intercom system now. In his article on how to choose the best wireless intercom system he shared about the various frequencies that are used in the wireless intercom products. It is interesting to know the brief history of the various frequencies used. He also shared about the reasons why certain products would have the sometimes irritating buzzing interference sound. If you need to get a wireless intercom system, I would recommend you to read first the article by David Onslow. It would definitely help you to make the right choice.

No Candy For Belle

Barnabas, Belle, Clarissa, Food, Parenting, Shopping No Comments »

In general ALL children loves candy but that is not the case with Belle. She does not like sweets unlike Clarissa and Barnabas. It is not that she does not like sweet stuff, she loves chocolate but she just doesn’t favor sweets.

Since Christmas is coming, I am sure you plan to send something to my children (hint, hint) :P please do not send candy ok? But if you insist, this Mommy loves candy too. Let me give you a tip. To save money, you can order in bulk from bulk candy store. I am sure the price is much cheaper that buying from the supermarket. :)

I am not celebrating Hari Raya

Family, Shopping No Comments »

Whenever the festive season drawing nearer, we received quite a number of brochures and pamphlets on shoes, clothing, furniture and even cookies. All at a very attractive price. Even though I am not celebrating Hari Raya, I am so tempted to buy those cute children clothing and cookies.

I believe this is a more effective way of advertising. They send their promotional pamphlets to a specific target group. Since I live in a Malay community, they assume I am Malay too. I am sure they got my address from the Mailing Lists Company. I wonder they got the mailing list from which company. I only know about a Mailing List Company called the Martin Worldwide is one of the largest and most successful mailing list providers in US.

Purple Shoe

Clarissa, Parenting, Shopping No Comments »

Hubby was surprise how come Clarissa did not ask for a sports shoe too. Well, her favorite colour is purple and she can’t find a shoe her size that is purple in colour. She did pick on purple shoe but it is too big for her. So she just put it back. Thank God she did not throw tantrum demanding me to find a purple show that fits her because at the end of the day, she still wants to wear her sister’s shoe like what is doing now. Trying her very best putting on her sister’s show by herself.

That is Sports Shoe to Belle. I wonder who taught her that. After dinner we went to shop for a soccer shoe for hubby and Belle kept telling me that she wants boots. So I went to look for boots but she do not want them. She pointed to the sport shoe.

She not only want a sports shoe but a sports shoe that comes with light. Found one at Bata, Bubble Gummer brand. She got her favorite color, pink and a pair of pink socks too. Not cheap eh, RM39.90 for a pair of children’s shoe! Same price as her daddy’s leather sandal after discount.

Jusco Sale

We went to Jusco on Thursday for dinner at Johnny’s Steamboat restaurant. Since Clarissa is having fever, I do not want her to eat fried food. So, steamboat is the best option. We order steamboat for one, chicken rice for hubby and chicken wing for Clarissa. For me, their left-overs. :(

Jusco is having sale now. The place is quite pack with the Malay shopping for Hari Raya, developer promoting their new housing project and not forgetting, credit cards provider promoting their best credit card offers. Following us, talking away even though we don’t show any interest. Sometimes I pity them too. They are just the doing their job to get more commission with each sign ups.

Leather Recliners

Hubby was just telling me that we need to get more comfortable chair for us to work at computer. I totally agree with him. With amount spent sitting and blogging, we do need a very comfortable chair. He wants the executive chair for the desktop and I would love to have one of this leather recliners.

leather recliner

I can comfortable blog on this chair with my laptop. The only thing that I worry after getting this chair is, it will not be mine but my girls. I am sure might have to “fight” with Belle to sit on the chair to watch her favorite cartoon on DVD.

If you are living in US, the above leather recliner is very affordable if you get them from Wholesale Furniture Brokers. The Retail Price is $1,399.00 but after discount, you can get them at only $449.00. That’s almost 70% discount. Quick spend your blogging income to buy one. :)

She Thinks

Belle, Parenting, Shopping No Comments »

Shavina parent’s bought a bicycle her birthday and my girls wanted the same too. I told them that I will buy for them but did not mention when it will be.

Yesterday, I did not go back to my mom’s for lunch and my children stayed the whole day there because hubby and I went to do some errands. I took half day leave because I have to activate a dormant savings account and also to apply for debit card.

Then we went to Tesco for sundry shopping and since Clarissa is sick, I decided to buy a toy for them (cannot buy for her only, sure fight one).

When I went to fetch them in the evening, Belle was so excited to see me.

“Mommy, you buy bicycle for me?”

“No but I have a surprise for you.”

Then I presented them the toys.

She was happy but I can see disappointment on her face.

Shavina’s mommy told me that Belle kept telling her

“I think Mommy is late today because she went to buy bicycle for me.”

Then I told her that I will only buy the bicycle on Clarissa’s 3rd birthday. That’s in 2 months time.

She is happy with it. :)
