Wedding in End of July

Family, Marriage No Comments »

I have another wedding to attend end of this month. I would love to bring my girls along but hubby said NO. I want to because I can really dress them up like a princess for such occasion. :D Since their daddy said NO then NO lor…must obey husband. =P

So my children will be at home with my mom because MIL will be attending the wedding dinner too. So I will only see them the days after with some nice wedding favors from the wedding. Nowadays most wedding I attended will surely come up with very unique wedding favor ideas.

Why Not Russian Women

Marriage No Comments »

One of my church members’ sons is studying medicine in Russia. When he came back for the holiday, I was expecting him to bring back Russian woman but he brought back an Ipoh girl. Hmmm…Russian women not pretty meh? Lots of men from all over Europe and America have taken a keen interest in Russian women. They are very homely type of women; family comes first before career. Good candidate for a housewife.

Maybe Russian women are not for Asian men coz most women here still hold the family value; family first. Look at me; I quit my not so bad paying job for the sake of my children. And lots of mommies I know are doing the same too. :D

Wedding Planning

Family, Marriage No Comments »

My girls enjoy hanging around their auntie’s (Ee Ee) room. She is getting married end of this year. The bride’s side dinner will be on the eve of my birthday. That day will be my most expensive birthday dinner. :P

Oh ya, the reason my girls love her room is because she is doing her own Wedding Planning so her room is filled with wedding gifts, wrappers, ribbons, cute toys, etc. Since a few of her friends and her sisters are already married, she received lots of ideas from us on how to plan for her own wedding. That saves a lot of money from hiring a wedding planner.

She wants to see people get married

Belle, Family, Marriage No Comments »

I mentioned earlier that children never forget. On the 1st of December, we are supposed to travel to Seremban to attend my cousin’s wedding. Unfortunately we couldn’t make it because all 3 of my children were not well. Since then, Belle keep asking me that she wants to go for the wedding and she wants to see people get married even though I tell her that it is over.

My sister who attended the wedding told Belle that the wedding banquet was filled with red roses and each one of them brought back fresh roses as door gift. They must have gotten bulk roses from the wholesaler to save cost.

Online Wedding Planner

Family, Marriage No Comments »

I came across a few wedding websites due to writing paid post. I think I am expert at finding cheap Wedding Favors and Wedding Gifts. Today I found an even better wedding website, WeddingChannel.com.

Last time I have to plan my wedding without any help from any wedding planner. Don’t where to find one. Anyway, I found one for my children! Ya ya, I know it is a long way to go but no harm noting down the website for future us.

WeddingChannel has been around since 1997. They are the web’s most comprehensive wedding-planning site. WeddingChannel.com combines free, interactive planning tools, expert advice, inspiration photos, a local vendor guide, a patented online registry system, and more to make planning a classic, upscale wedding as easy and stress-free as possible.

When Is Ee Ee Getting Married?

Family, Marriage No Comments »

My girls have started asking me when their Ee Ee (aunt) is getting married. They want to wear white pretty dress and be her flower girls. Actually, I really don’t know when my youngest sister is getting married. They have registered their marriage but the wedding ceremony and wedding dinner, I do not know when. I hope she will do it quick before I grow fatter. Hahaha. I am vain. Sure lar, I have 3 children, must prove to others that you still can look slim after having 3.

I am kind excited of helping her with the wedding. I have so many wedding favor ideas because I blog so many times about it. I hope she don’t mind spending for at a cheap wedding favor. It will give good impression to the guests especially it is a very practical wedding favor and cute one too. :)

Rings Around the Fingers

Marriage, Shopping No Comments »

Finding the right wedding rings can be just as important as finding the right engagement rings, but thanks to Danforth Diamond you can find both in the same place. I know that you thought finding the best diamonds to put into a ring for her was about as hard as it was going to get, but picking out the perfect wedding bands together is just as important, but if you follow my advice and check out Danforth Diamond, I think you’ll be please, and quickly understand why they’re an industry leader when it comes to helping people just like you find just what they’re looking for.

Don’t Trust His Sweet Talk

Beauty, Health, Marriage No Comments »

I read in the newspaper today that one way to win the husband heart is by being slim and sexy even after having children. The husband will surely deny it; they will surely tell you that they love you the same even though you body is as round as a tempayan (big vase). But whenever both of you go out, watch where he is looking. I am sure his eyes will be glued to those sexy and slim ladies.

I have been neglecting exercising and keeping fit because my hubby said the same too. After reading the article, I don’t trust his sweet talk anymore. Hehe. :P Worse come to worse I will go for the houston lap band surgery. :D

Practical Wedding Favor

Marriage, Shopping 1 Comment »

If you have found the love of your life and decided to tie the knot, I have a tip on where to find cheap wedding favors. At ShopForWeddings.com. I went thru the list for wedding favors and I personally like the Sandalwood Fan.

fan

It is cheap, only $1.49 each after discount and it is very practical especially if you are planning for outdoor wedding. I had an outdoor wedding and I regretted not buying fans for my quests. I still remember them sitting there restlessly, fanning away using the wedding handouts.

choc

And don’t forget to get some candies or chocolate for the children to keep them occupied during the ceremony. I am sure you would want a “peaceful” wedding ceremony. :)

Interracial Marriage

Marriage, Menceceh No Comments »

Do you mind if your children marry other race? As for me, any race also can. As long as their future spouse is a Christian not by name only but someone who really love Jesus and live by His word. In my family and hubby’s there are interracial marriages. With the Indians, with the Sikh, and with the Englishman. The best thing about it is we get to celebrate their festive occasion too.

For those who are not married (of course) and interested in interracial dating, do check out InterracialRomance.com. There are thousands of interracial singles looking for someone like you. It’s FREE. ;)

Tips to write wedding vows

Marriage, Menceceh No Comments »

I did not write my own wedding vows. I didn’t even know that we can actually use our own wedding vows! We just followed the traditional ones. Not many people are creative enough to write their wedding vows wedding vows but this does not hinders you from writing one. Now we have the WWW remember? :D I found this website that offers guideline to 10 Steps To Writing Your Own Wedding Vows>. Maybe I will write one for my wedding renewal vows. I wonder when that will be; the wedding renewal ceremony, I mean. Maybe when we reached our 20 years of marriage. By then, my children can afford to send us for our dream honeymoon destination; New Zealand. :D

If you are going to click the link in this post, please do; :) do snoop around their website. They have a blog that is has some good advice for the bride and groom to be, articles on what you need to plan for your wedding, wedding favors ideas, planning for honeymoon and honeymoon destination and much more. I wish I can go through the wedding ceremony again. Just the wedding ceremony, minus the planning and preparation. If I ever need to (which is impossible) I would spend some money and hire a wedding planner. Save all the headache, backache and heartache.

Never too late and Never too early

I didn’t get any diamond ring on my engagement day but it is not a harm to make sure that my son gives one to his future fiancée. As women, I know how it would feel like receive something precious from your love one. Actually, come to think of it, I do not know how it feels like! I have not received any diamond ring. :P But it is never too late to receive one (hubby, you get the hint? :P)

ring

I went for window shopping at Whiteflash.com and I tell you, I want all their diamond engagement rings! Hehehe…In that case, I need more than 1 million dollar. :D We can even custom made our ring and choose our own diamond. I read their testimonials, they are good and their customers are very satisfied with their services and workmanship. Go see for yourself.

Save the Date

Marriage, Menceceh No Comments »

I still remember my engagement day; it was on hubby’s birthday. In order to save money, we did not make any Engagement Announcements cards. Hubby just stood in front of the pulpit and announce about it to all the church members. As for friends and relatives, we make phone calls after phone calls. Hmmm…we do spend money on the phone calls! However no many turn up though. Maybe they forget the date.

Maybe if we make the Engagement Announcement card that prints Save the Date, people would sure remember and turn up for our engagement party. With the computer, internet and online shopping, we could design our own card or use their own template to make the perfect card for the perfect occasion and I am sure they will remember the date.

A Bride For My Son

Barnabas, Family, Marriage No Comments »

Next time ah… if my son so picky and couldn’t find a daughter in law for me, I will order a bride for him from Russia! I understand that Russian brides are famous internationally as the most beautiful women in the world. A typical Russian woman looks like a model. Besides being pretty and sexy, they have well-developed family values, loving, tender and devoted to a relationship and the family. Above all, they put their family first before career. This means that I don’t have to babysit my grandchildren! This will also mean that my son have to get a very well paid job as he will be the only income earner in the family. Hmm…must start teaching his how to count and save money now!

Marriage Counselor

Marriage, Menceceh No Comments »

I read from a Seattle couples therapy website run by Brien Wood that couples wait approximately six years before getting help from a professional after their first signs of distress. This is very true. No, I am not talking about my marriage. We have not reached our 6 years mark yet. :) It’s about my colleague.

Last year was their 6th years of marriage and they went to marriage counseling but problem is not solved yet. From time to time he would complaint to me about his wife. I dare not say much as I am not a marriage counselor. He should look for Brien Wood who has training in marriage therapy and couples. His fee is also affordable, $90 for a 45 minute session and $150 for an 85 minute session. You can also get free initial consultation to see if his style of counseling fit you. Btw, there are a few of good marriage tips in his website too.

Pamper myself with luxury

Family, Holiday, Marriage No Comments »

I was thinking, since I work so hard earning money from blogging. Sacrificing much of our sleep. Me blogging, he playing online games! Yes, he rather play game than make money. That’s where he finds satisfaction. As for me, I find satisfaction, making money using my brain! :D

I should pamper myself with a luxury Hawaii vacation like staying in one of the big island hawaii luxury homes. Big rooms, big tv, big jacuzzi, big kitchen, big beds and everything big. hehehe.

Why to find such luxury? Well, all this can be found at Hawaiian Beach Rentals dot com. Not only that, who knows the island better if not the locals right? So besides providing all kinds of accommodations that you can imagine of plus at a discounted rate, they are also getting the local experts to help coordinate the perfect vacation.

Dear, Hawaii then shall we? :D

Lectured By Belle

Belle, Family, Marriage 11 Comments »

I was so sleepy yesterday coz I only slept for 5 hours. After work, I fed the children and myself, dumbed in the laundry into the washing machine and requested hubby to bathe the children and allow me to nap for a lil while.

Instead, all my children came into the room butt naked and their daddy too (he’s not naked lar) and joined me! More like disturbing me. Of course I can’t sleep. Jumping up and down, climbing on me and make me their horsey.

So I brought them all to the bathroom and bathe them instead. When I came back to the room, hubby is sleeping! Fumes coming out from my nose and ears!

Daddy! You don’t love me! I am the one who is tired and sleepy. You should let me nap, not the other way round!

Some more he told me that he did not nap in the afternoon when the children naps coz he had his 8 hours of sleep.

Then Belle called me, in a very stern voice.

“Mommy, you come here! You look up there.” Pointing to our wedding photo that is hanging on the wall.

“You marry (married) Daddy. You must love Daddy! You must sayang Daddy! Cannot scold Daddy!”

“But, but, Daddy notti, Daddy don’t love Mommy, Daddy did not let Mommy sleep.”

“No! You marry (married) Daddy, You must love Daddy.”

Refused to hear my explanation. Daddy laughing away coz someone defended him! :P

My sister is getting married soon, I wish I can be her bridesmaid so that I can parade with the above gorgeous bridesmaid dress. But I don’t think she would want an “old” bridesmaid. Oh well, I can still wear it during the wedding dinner right? I might even catch some attention from her guest! :P

If you are looking for evening dresses, I would recommend you to visit The Red Carpet. They are Australia’s newest online shop offering a glamorous range of quality evening dresses, bridesmaid’s dresses and wedding gowns as well as accessories.

For any gown that we desired, we can choose the colour and size to suit our body. They come in 36 fabulous colours and in US sizes 2 - 28. The entire range of gowns is beautifully crafted, made of gorgeous fabrics and many with exceptional handbeading.

They are quite flexible with the payment. If you don’t feel secure paying online, you can call them and give your credit card details personally over the phone.

Next month on the 7th of July 2007, I know a lot of couple are tying the knots. A very special date indeed. 070707. :D

Like the above Heart Cookie Cutter Favor. It only cost $1.25/set of 3 and it is a very practical gift. Your guests will be reminded of the sweetness of your wedding day each time they use this delightful set of 3 cookie cutters. Btw, I found it at ShopForWeddings.com. :)

You know, how guys are more shy that gals. Sometimes, we, ladies must take the first step. The world has changed now.

I am very fond of tanned man. They are tan because they are the outdoors type, always under the sun. I like this kinda of man. My daughter favor man that is even darker than tan. In my previous post, I mentioned that she like the “black black” doctor. I asked her, “Why do you like black men?” “I just like black” she replied. She is only 4 years old, so not much worried now. :P

Buffet Steamboat

Belle, Clarissa, Family, Food, Marriage, Parenting, Shopping 4 Comments »

After 6 months since the business started we finally get to go out together at night. Enjoying each other company while chewing the food. Hubby chose Buffet BBQ Steamboat coz it’s buffet, value for his money (psst…i belanja using my Tigapi income. :D) The children were at my mom’s, watching tv and playing with the cousins.

The restaurant, Carry On is situated in Melaka Raya, some where near the Melaka Mall or the ex-Senyum Hyper. They have quite a wide spread of seafood, all kinds of balls, veges, fresh meat, fish, seaweeds, noodle, eggs, fruits and free flow of soft drinks for only RM15.80 per adult. You can choose either tomyam soup or chicken. Obviously, hubby chose tomyam. Do you notice that they spell ADULT as ADUIT? Ingat duit aja! hehe

I didn’t eat much, not that I jaga badan, just that I’m a small eater. I stuff more veges and seaweeds into my tummy this time.

When we first came in, all of the customers are the Chinese speaking. We are the only one speaking in English and I find it awkward. Later, a group of student came with birthday cake and their conversation were all in English. Ahh…we felt belong there. At last some familiar words that we understand. Not that we want to kaypoh or what. :P

On the way home, we saw a fun fair. I have not been to a fun fair for ages. can’t even remember when was the last time. Maybe when I was little. Gonna bring the children there instead of Genting since our car can’t climb the Genting Hill and no one to help us babysit my boy. Hubby gonna practice his dart throwing. Wanna win some gold price, he said. I want a ride in the ferries wheel. Jess, wanna join us next Wednesday? :D

We went shopping at Tesco before we head home. Both SebaMed soap for my boy coz he has lotsa rashes on his skin. Dunno whether that’s heat rash or allergies. I bought new toys for the girls. Well, I pity them, not able to tag along with us this time. They are so excited about it until cannot sleep, especially Belle. She slept around 11.30pm with her toys!

After that, hubby drop by his shop to look see look see (spot check) since he won’t be coming in on that day (yesterday).

Overall, everyone is happy! :D I wish to have more of this kinda nights.

Flying to Penang

Belle, Marriage, Parenting, Shopping 2 Comments »

I just completedmy booking with AirAsia. One way from KLIA to Penang RM69.99 inclusive of tax. They have the RM41.99 but it is too early for us. We will be flying there on May 25, arriving 12noon. Then I can have Penang food for my lunch…heh heh heh.

I know it is cheaper to travel there by bus but I want Belle to experience flying in an aeroplane. She always hear, her daddy flew here and there and her mama, ee ee and cousins flew to Kuching, so spend a lil bit extra for her lar. Furthermore time travelling is shorten and we don’t have to trouble the bride-to-be to fetch us from the bus station early in the morning, very early like 4am.

Newey, we will be travelling back on Sunday night by bus. Arriving Malacca the next day around 6.30am. Just nice for someone to wake up to fetch us. Not so early like 4am. So Luch, please tell the rest I am coming ok?

Penang here I come

General, Marriage 5 Comments »

I am sosososososososososososososo excited. I am finally going back to Penang after leaving her for 8 years! Imagine that E.I.G.H.T. years out of 4 years living there. There are so many foods running in my head now. Which stall should I go first? And friends too. Which friend should I bug? Oh, since I will be there on Sunday. I want to go to the church that I have been attending when I was there. I wonder whether the pastor still remembers me. Hmm…I don’t think so. I always keep low profile there. hehehe.

Oh ya, the reason I am going there is to attend a church member/friend/doctor wedding. She is from Penang, of course, studying in Manipal Medical College, attending the same church I used to attend and also the first person that hold Barnabas besides the nurses and me in the labor room. She was on duty at that time and always pop in to see and comforted me but missed witnessing the birth of my boy by half an hour. And he cute boyfriend from Kuching, also a trainee doctor, her husband-to-be, brought me breakfast the next day. How sweet of him. I can never forget them.

I will be leaving behind Clarissa with my mom, Barnabas with his dad and bringing along Belle. I hope they can cope without me. Worried about my boy though. No nen-nen for 3 nights! By May, he will be a big boy and more independent. I hope. :D

Holiday

Belle, Business, Clarissa, Family, Marriage, Parenting 3 Comments »

I wanted to take a break from my routine and go for a holiday. Genting would be nice as it is cold, it has amusement park, and currently they are having promotion. One night stay at First World plus 2 Theme Park ticket for RM49.88 only.

However hubby is kinda reluctant about it. He can’t imagine how the 2 of us can handle our DoReMi. Clarissa is too independent. Worried that she will wonder around by herself. Barnabas needs to be carried by one of us. He won’t sit in the stroller. Belle, no worries about her. She will scream at her daddy whenever Clarissa wonders away!

How to go like that? Unless someone accompany us and help us out with them. Anyone?

If no, no holidays for us for the next 5 years. Arrrghhhhh!!!

On our 6th marriage anniversary

Food, Marriage, Shopping 4 Comments »

I typed marriage instead of wedding coz yesterday was our marriage registration day 6 years ago. Wedding anniversary will be on May 12. Another day to celebrate. :D

I took half day off and spent time with each other without the children. Since it was lunch time, we decided to try out the Mille Crepe cake at Nadeje Patisserie Cafe. Recommended by Jason. My husband was asking, “Are you sure you wanna go there?” Remember what happened to me when I first tried the grilled burger recommended by Jason? I told hubby, “This time, not at he roadside mah.” Hehehe.

First round couldn’t see the shop. SMS Jason. Tried again. Saw the shop but it was closed. Hmmm…maybe hor…God knows that I might get gastric if I eat there!

So we decided to check out the restaurants at Dataran Pahlawan Megamall. It was freezing inside. Some more at the same time, it was raining outside. Since we are not that picky and just need to fill our hungry tummy, we settled for Johnny’s.

My sister told me that their steamboat sauce is very nice and spicy too.

So we ordered Steamboat for one person RM13.90, Pineapple Rice and Belacan Rice RM5.95 each. The Belacan rice was not bad, it has the similar taste to my favorite Belacan Rice that I had in Penang. The steamboat sauce, so so only. Not spicy at all. The portion is kinda small for hubby but to me, just nice for my small tummy.

Later, we ordered Sundae and mix dessert. Can’t remember the price.

Hubby was requesting whether they have those small red sago, but the waiter (foreigner) couldn’t understand him. Can you see the red thing in the pix? That’s was it but bigger in size. To me it tasted like coconut. In the dessert they also put fine slices of jackfruit.

Besides eating, we chatted about us, our marriage, our children, the house, MIL, business etc. Then we check out the place as it was our first time there. Just holding hands and window shop.

I really enjoyed my time with him. Just to have him all to myself. With children around, must make appointed to be with each other! :D

Post Spring Cleaning 3

Family, Marriage 1 Comment »

Let me finish the Post Spring Cleaning post. I have not actually finish cleaning the house and get her back to her normal self. Wanted to do some mopping this morning but too sleepy to get up early. Woke up at 3am, to sponge my boy for one hour till he finally stop whining and sleeps.

There are still a lot to do. The plates, the bowl, the spoons, the containers and the periuk belangga are not arranged properly and some doesn’t belong where they are placed now. The fridge also needs some cleaning and re-arranging. Tables need to be folded. Curtains need to be wash and kept. Outside floor needs to be washed. Slippers need to be collected and kept.

Just imagine that the house was occupied by 16 adults and 19 children during the CNY week.

Because I concentrated so much in cleaning the house, my room is dusty and in a mess! If I clean my room, got no time left to clean the whole house. If people come, they will say I very lazy coz never clean the house.

Dunno when I can complete it all.

Based on the Glossy Blue theme.
