Roses

Family, Holiday, Home No Comments »

My youngest sister just came back from her company trip to Cameron Highland last weekend. When you go for a holiday in Cameron Highland, 2 things that you will surely bring home; roses and strawberries. If not strawberries coz most of them are sour, you will surely buy their roses because they are very cheap. The last time I was there, I paid RM10 for a dozen of roses. I wonder how much the price is now. Here, one stalk of rose will easily cost for than RM2.

roses

My girls were so excited to see so many roses in their Ee Ee’s room. They kept asking me to bring them to my sister’s room so that they can admire and smell the roses. They wanted to have a rose each but dare not ask from my sister. You see, even small girls like roses. :) So I told them that one day we will bring them to Cameron Highland since daddy already promise our missionary friends that we would visit them sometime this year. Unfortunately that won’t be that soon coz their mommy is broke and jobless. :( With the petrol hike, we would think more than twice before traveling to far away land.

Tours on Double Decker Bus

Family, Fun, Holiday No Comments »

double decker

We experienced Malacca City Tour on Double Decker Bus in Sept last year with the girls and another time with Msau and Jess family when they came to visit. It was my first time seeing Malacca from above. It was totally a different view; some parts are more beautiful than looking from down under and certain parts are better to be viewed from down below.

I planned to hop on the bus again when Barnabas is older; maybe when he is 3 years old. I hope by then, there will be much more to see and the bus will make more stops for us to snap pictures of the Historic Malacca. I hope I would not become history by then!

Even More Cheaper Disney World Tickets

Holiday No Comments »

My girls love Disney Cartoons especially from the Playhouse Disney Channel. At home, no Astro for them except when they are at my mom’s. Since I got this computer, Belle will be hooked to the Playhouse Disney website. She loves all of them. From Mickey Mouse to Handy Manny. Maybe one day, God willing, I’ll bring my whole family to Orlando and visit Walt Disney World Resort and even Universal Studios Orlando.

I hope by then OrlandoFunTickets.com still offers discount Disney World tickets. Like how my girls like to say it, “Even more cheaper.” Yes, I really hope so; let’s say 10 years down the road.

Las Vegas Vacations

Entertainment, Holiday No Comments »

Why people would want to go for Las Vegas vacations? 2 reasons. Either they go there to look for money or to spend money. If you are in the 2nd group of people, I’m sure you are looking for Las Vegas entertainment. When people talk about Las Vegas, the first thing that comes to mind is the casinos. Well, you can find many casinos in Las Vegas, just pick your choice. Check out the MGM Grand where not only you can spend your money in the casino but you can also unwind in their spa, pools and saloons. And when you want some entertainment, they even host concerts with famous celebrities like Madonna and Rolling Stones. Basically, their main purpose is to help you enjoy yourself.

Cold and Hot Fun

Belle, Family, Fun, Holiday 2 Comments »

When I was in the Snow World, I really thank God that I am living in Malaysia even though every other day I would complain on the hot weather and dreaming about living in “Snow World”. I can’t wait to get out from there and head for the hot sun but since we paid so much for it, we stayed until our time is almost up; we came out earlier coz my lil Clarissa can’t stand the coldness.

Out from the cold, into the hot water we went. Not immediately though. We walked all the way back to our room and changed to our swimming attire and walk all the way back to First World Indoor Theme Park into the Rainforest Splash Pool.

The water is really really hot. At first we felt like needles poking our legs when we first step foot into the water but after a lil while we got adjusted to the temperature. Oh! It was a bliss. We had a good massage from the water fountain. We had so much fun sliding down the water slide. I did the forbidden way of going down the slide and reminded my girls not to follow what I did! Hehehe. Instead of just sitting down and slide down, I lay down on my tummy and go leg first then head first, then hubby follow suit! We had so much fun doing things that we weren’t allowed to when we were kids.

Enough about Daddy and Mommy, let’s talk about Belle and Clarissa since this is their blog.

Belle did not go on the water slide in the beginning. She just observes Clarissa and me went on it for a few rounds. First round, I hold Clarissa’s arm and we slide down together. Second round onwards, I let her go. Later she went up there all by herself. And then played at other smaller slides all by herself. She is one brave and daring girl.

Belle, I hold her arm for the first and second round and on the third round I planned to let her go. On the way up the slide, she kept telling me to hold her but I did not answer her because I am not going to hold her this time. Notti Mommy hor?

So we sat down together but I let her go and slide down all by herself. I was expecting her to scream and scold me once I reached down there but she smile and told me that she want to do it again all by herself. Yay! Breakthrough!!!

At first I went with her a few rounds then later she went with Clarissa while I waited at the end of the slide.

We played there until they girls really had enough and willingly came out from the pool.

For me, this is the best part of the Theme Park. If I go there again with just hubby, I think I will splash there again. ;)

Genting Highland Theme Park

Thanks to Clarissa, she shared her germs with me and I am having runny nose too. Sore throat has gone though.

Here are the photos from the trip; just photos. I’ll write more when I am feeling better. :)

2
If you are taller, Mommy and Daddy would have more fun. :P

3
With this height, she and daddy went for the 4D Motion Master. Clarissa and Mommy linger around until our legs got tired.

4

Ride De Paris. They sat at least 5 rounds at different time though.

10
Carousel. Horsey rides. I was tempted to hop on one myself but hubby signed me to watch over them. :(

11
12
Reindeer Cruiser. We sat on all the family rides besides the Venice Gondola and Monorail because they out of service. My girls kept asking for to sit in the Caterpillar, that’s the Monorail. Next trip ya, girls.

13
We had so much fun at the Rainforest Splash Pool. I am going to write a post on it soon. ;)

14
We love our spacious room at Theme Park Hotel. Hmm…I can’t recall whether I see any roller shades there or not. ;)

Good night! :D

Snow World

Belle, Clarissa, Fun, Holiday 6 Comments »

First thing when we stepped in the Theme Park, Belle ask for her Snow. She wasn’t interested to try the rides but since we are there, I “encouraged” her to sit a few rides until she gets cranky and hungry.

After lunch at Marry Brown, we went to look for the Snow World.

The children jacket is too HUGE for Clarissa and gloves too. So both of them went in without gloves. I told them to keep their hands in the sleeves. I thought my nose going to drop off! -6′C!!!

sw

Snow World is too cold for Clarissa. Her lips cracked. She can’t wait to go out! I didn’t know that her lips cracked until she told me that her lips got lipstick! Due to the cracks, it caused her lips to feel a lil bit numb and heavy. It feels like wearing lipstick I guess. :)

Belle enjoyed it. She even made a Snow Angel. “Mommy, I want to lie down” and started lifting up and down her arms. “Oh! You want to make Snow Angel?” “Yes” she replied. I hold her head as I do not want to her hair to get wet. Too bad we can’t bring our camera along. Get them to take is way too costly.

to be continued…

On The Way To The Peak

Belle, Holiday No Comments »

Clarissa sleeping a few minutes after we left BIL’s house. So we had a peaceful drive up the peak. hehe. Belle; half way up felt like vomiting but thank God she did not after we rolled up the window and back to using aircond. There was a motorbike in front of us making so much noise and smoke; I think that’s the cause of Belle’s dizziness.

The moment I saw the peak I told Belle that we are going up there. Pointing up to the hill.

“Mommy, our car can fly arh?”

Disney World Next?

Family, Holiday 1 Comment »

We had so much fun at the peak. Well, at least the children did. :P I can’t wait to go there again…without the kids this time so that we can try ALL the thrill rides. The only thrill ride that I had was the Super Toboggan…verdict, not so thrilling. Hubby got on the Flying Coaster all by himself coz there is not one else around at that time. Later we realized that hubby is entitled for 2 rounds of the ride. Anyway, just one round makes his beep shrunk. That’s all for the parent’s. The rest was all Family Rides and Children Rides.

In the future, maybe in 2-3 years time, if I can get Discount Walt Disney World Tickets, discount air flights, discount hotel room and discount dining or even sponsored; I might plan for a trip to Disney World. :D

Back from Genting Highland

Barnabas, Belle, Clarissa, Family, Holiday 3 Comments »

We are safely back home in one piece but not in good shape. The parent’s body is aching all over. We are not fit in walking the distance and climbing the staircase.

My girls are still very energetic. Even wanted us to bring to them to the playground at the beach. Thank God it rained in the evening.

I thought I wouldn’t miss my son. I did not (really!) when I was in Genting but after seeing his cutey face and hearing his contagious laughter, this is the only blog post I am writing. I am going to spend the remaining of this day playing with him and then falling asleep beside him. I miss his warmth. :D

Staying in A Hotel

Holiday No Comments »

My children were so excited when I told them that we will be sleeping in a hotel room. Even though this is not the first time they sleeping in a hotel room, the diversion from the norms is always exciting.

I booked a room at Theme Park Hotel after recommendation from a daddy blogger who has stayed there numerous times. He told me that the room is quite spacious and suitable for bigger family. Well, for the price we are paying, I can’t expect it to be as good as Las Vegas Hotels but as long as it is clean and spacious, I will be contented.

Snowing in Genting Highland

Belle, Holiday 6 Comments »

I hope Belle would not be disappointed when we arrive in Genting Highland this Monday.

Me: Why do you want to go to Genting Highland?
Belle: Because there is snow there. I love snow, Mommy. I love to make snowman.

From what I gathered through our conversation about Genting Highland, I got the feeling that she is expected Genting Highland to be covered with snow.

I wonder whether the late Kong Kong Tong Tong can request God to send snow to Genting Highland on Monday.

Happy Easter Day

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Easter is not about colourful eggs and bunnies.

Easter is the pivotal point of Christian faith. It is the turning point of all history, when the God who became man in Jesus died on the cross and ROSE from the grave. That is the reason we celebrate Easter; our Saviour lives.

Things To Prepare for Genting Trip

Family, Holiday 1 Comment »

11 days to our first Genting holiday with the girls. We will be staying in Genting Theme Park Hotel by recommendation from Egghead. For family, it would be wonderful if they have condo hotel that offer all of the amenities of a hotel with the comfort and convenience of a condo.

Anyway, I am trying to think hard what are the things that I should prepare for my girls before the trip.

Sweater - Check
Sport Shoe - Check
Socks - Check
Long Pants - Check

That’s all I can come up with. Anything else?

Vacation or Car

Family, Finance, Holiday Comments Off

Where next after Genting? If I buy a new car, then no more vacation for a very long time. If I don’t buy a new car, we can even afford staying at Vacaciones Hoteles after a year or 2 savings.

I pray that God will really bless us financially. I can have enough for my children’s education, for a new car, and a yearly vacation. If can’t go oversea also never mind. As long as I can afford to bring my children out from here for a day or two. They are very excited about our coming vacation. They behave so well!

Not Our Car for Genting

Family, Holiday No Comments »

On the way to the estate, we realised that hubby’s car is still not fit for long distance travel. The back left side of the car still makes a lot of sound if an adult sits over there even though the absorber pump has been changed. Even the pick up is not that good. So hubby doubt that the car can climb the Genting slopes.

So, we have no choice but to stop over at the BIL’s house in Rawang and borrow his car instead.

Now, we are busy searching for a good used car to buy. If not, maybe change the car engine again. If only midwest auto recycling is here. Save our trouble looking for good recycle engine.

No Roller Coaster Ride, Please

Finance, Fun, Holiday No Comments »

The children are very excited when I told them that we are going to Genting Highland to play at the theme park. “Mommy, I do not want to ride on the roller coaster. It is so scary.” Belle said. Aiya, no fun like that. I am aiming for the roller coaster. If I have more moolah, I would want to ride on a bigger and more chikek roller coaster if I can get good deals on Orlando Hotel. :)

Anyway, I am been using this coming trip to threaten encourage them to do their homework and behave well!

Four Feet

Belle, Holiday 8 Comments »

I was surfing thru the Genting Highland website. Planning to go for a short holiday next month. It will be the first time for my girls. Barnabas? Well, sorry son, you will have to stay with Mama this time around. I don’t think we can manage all three.

Belle was beside me eager to know what’s at the Genting Theme Park. I was looking the min height limit and asking hubby…

“Dear, our children got 4 feet or not?”

No answer.

“Dear, our children got 4 feet or not?”

“No. Two feet only!” Belle exclaimed.

I laughed till I shed tears.

Chinese New Year Getaway

Family, Holiday No Comments »

After a few years of the same CNY tradition we suggested that the whole family getaway from CNY visitation. We really dread going for CNY visitation. Pretending to be excited meeting relatives that we meet only once a year, shaking hands with relatives that we dislike and they, pretending as though they like us.

But not everyone wants to escape this tradition partly because it is so costly to go for vacation during public holidays. However I hope to get away from all this one day, to country where CNY is not a public holiday. Maybe we could escape to Disney World. With Discount Disney World Tickets, we could save a lil bit. :)

Running Naked

Family, Holiday No Comments »

My children love going naked in the house. After bathing, I really have to chase them in order to get them clothe. Me too when no one is around! hehe. I think they learn from their Mommy!

I wonder how it is feels like to visit the all-inclusive nudist resort in Riviera Maya. Firstly I am sure we have to go naked in order to enter the secluded beach. But then if everyone else is naked, it won’t be a big deal anymore right? Anyone experience being naked in public, maybe in sauna’s or Japanese Jacuzzi? How do you feel?

Options for Holiday

Finance, Holiday No Comments »

BIL just came back from Phuket Island and Pangkor Island. He sponsored his mother and MIL plus SIL. Hello! You forget to sponsor us is it? :P

They spent more than 15k for the both trips. I guess it must be the profit from the options trading. He is actively involved in it and did ask us whether we would want to consider investing in it. We wanted too but at that time we do not have much cash to spare to invest. If not, I think we have already gone for our family holiday or even our much awaited second honeymoon.

China, No; Vegas, Yes

My youngest sister is in China now enjoying herself vacationing. If I were single I would enjoy myself like her too if I have the extra cash. You won’t see me in China, I can’t speak Chinese. I think I will be stoned there by the fanatic Chinese. hehe.

Mostly probably you will find me in one of Las Vegas Shows having the time of my life in Vegas. But then ah, quite a waste also if I go there coz I don’t gamble. Well, I will just get Best of Vegas assistance to get me on the Vegas tours and attractions. That will be fun too.

Bring Mommy To Disney World

Entertainment, Fun, Holiday No Comments »

When it comes to cartoon channel on the satellite TV, my girls started with Playhouse Disney, then they slowly upgraded to Disney Channel. During that period, all they want is the Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto etc. From the pajamas that they wear to the shoe that they wear. They even asked me to I bring them to Disney World.

Sorry lar girls, your Mommy no money to bring you there now. Later when you grow up, you earn lotsa money then you bring Mommy there instead. Ok? Mommy know where to get the cheapest Disney World Tickets in the world. Mommy blog so many times about it already.

Sponsor Me A Trip

Fun, Holiday No Comments »

During the steamboat session at my mom’s my youngest sister informed us that she will be going to China. 50% sponsored by her friends because her husband could make it for the trip. She just came back from Bali and Genting Highland just a few months ago and she is going for a holiday again. Both trips were sponsored by her boss. She has such a nice and generous boss unlike mine. I envy her.

I am still waiting for someone to sponsor me a trip to Orlando. I am willing to pay half of it and if you insist to sponsor me a stay at Florida Holiday Villas, how could I say NO. It will be more than a dream come true. But I think ah, since I am a mother of 3, no one would want to sponsor me unless I am still single, slim and sexy. hahahaha.

One day I came back from work, my mom told me that Belle can speak Spanish! Hah? Where did she learn that? From the cartoon, Dora The Explorer, of course. They speak Spanish too. Well, since she picks up language quite fast, maybe when she is older I will send her to Spanish class. :)

And later she can assist us in making reservation if we want to go to Spain. hehe. It is very good to know a few languages. You can go far with this skill. I was surprised to know that some Spanish speaking people don’t know the international language, English. Due to it, Hotels.com even has a website to cater for the Spanish speaking travellers that only reads Spanish at Hoteles.com.

Well, well, well, the holiday season is here. The school holiday started today. Thanksgiving will be on November 22 then Christmas on December 25 followed by New Year 2008! This is also the mark of the beginning of spending money, buying gifts and feasting.

It is easy to buy gifts for children, just get them any toys they would be happy but for their parents, the only special gift that I can think of is the gourmet basket. Yup, FOOD!!! Don’t buy photo frame, towels, bottles, containers etc, they have lots of it. Buy chocolates, cookies and fruits, food will always makes people happy unless you have no teeth to eat lar.

A Trip to Pantai Puteri

Barnabas, Belle, Clarissa, Family, Holiday, Parenting 2 Comments »

It is Deepavali day, for the first time in my 8 years of working, my company close for this festive occasion. Since I have no invitation from any Indian friends (psst…I only have one), I make plans for my children.

A day before it:
A’Famosa ~ Too hot
Pedas Water World ~ Clarissa and Barnabas coughing
Zoo ~ Who is going to carry Barnabas?
St Paul’s Hill ~ I don’t think the girls would be interested in looking at stones and tombstones
Jusco or Tesco Playground ~ Sure crowded one

So where to go? Let me sleep on it.

On the actual day:

Woke up at 9am, hang laundry, check emails, thinking, thinking and thinking.

“Ok, let get ready and we shall go for a picnic at the beach.”

By then it is already 10.30am. By the time I pack my stuff and change my children, we left home around 11am. Stopped by a supermarket, grabbed some tidbits, drinks and off we went to Pantai Puteri (Pantai Kundur).

I chose the place because it is shady, the sands are clean, the beach is well maintained even though the sea water is not so clean but better than Klebang Beach and they have clean public washroom for us to bathe.

Even though we were there for less than 2 hours, my children had fun and real sand to play!

play sand

I even allowed them to play with the sea water. I had fun picking tiny sea shell with Belle. Oh! Oh! When I was in the water with Belle we saw a colourful crab as big as Belle’s palm swimming in the sea. I was so tempted to catch it but I dare not risk loosing my fingers. :P

play water

There is no photo of me having fun with my girls and my boy because their daddy is either busy eating or sleeping. :P

Hubby even suggested that we have our next blogger meet there. :D

Online Disney Tickets

Family, Holiday No Comments »

Well, you have already planned which hotels you want to stay in Orlando, what about tickets now? Besides Disney World, there are so many theme parks, dinner shows and attractions in Orlando. Don’t tell me you have the patient to queue up for every entrance ticket? Just imagine handling all three at the same time while securing my place in the line. If one starts wanting to go toilet one at the time, I would end up being the last person in the line each time someone goes to the washroom. Get your Disney Tickets and others from OrlandoFunTickets.com to save all your headache.

Family Friendly Hotel

Family, Holiday No Comments »

When going for holidays with the children, it is very important to choose a family friendly hotel. Those that have swimming pools, game room, Children Eat Free dining, and child care services. With Orlando being the top family destination place in the world there are plenty of Orlando Hotels to choose from. Be sure to choose the right one to suit your family needs.

During the last Church Camp, in one of the meals provided, the main dishes were all spicy food. So my children ended eating veggies and soup only. The only reason that we will go back there is the swimming pool and spacious hotel rooms for my children to run around.
