Introducing my new Clarissa.

This lady saw her and me on webcam last night. She commented that Clarissa look more like me now!
I was very upset at first but now it has slowly sink in. I have to accept the fact that I can’t do nothing much about it now. It is all in God’s hand. I believe, In His Time He will make all things beautiful.
How I detect it? Well, this is how she watches TV and see the computer screen. Notice how she stares? And she will go near to the TV no matter how many times we make her sit far away from it. This all began when she started watching TV when she was around 2 yo. Before that, she is not interested in watching TV.

At first we thought that is a habit until recently hubby told me to take a look at her eyes when she watches TV closer. She does not stare when she go close. And during the recent Zoo trip, she did not show any interest in watching the animal show even though she likes animals a lot. I guess the stage is too far for her to see.
So we brought her to see an optometrist on last Friday after my colleague told me that her son watches TV the same way as Clarissa.

The computer shows very high result. More than 400 and her astigmatism is high too.

After seeing the optometrist, it is not that high but still very high to us. My power is less than 200. The optometrist prescribes a longer power for her. Left 325, Right 150 Astig/150 Shortsighted. And we need to send her for check up every 3 months.

This is how she watches TV after wearing her glasses. No more staring.
Now I know why she does not show interest in school. She can’t see!
Now I know why she often fall down and knock herself. She can’t see!
I felt so bad scolding her for being clumsy all this while.
Mommy is so sorry, Clarissa!
