In His Time

It’s 8.15am…”Mommy switch on the TV.” I kept quiet. “Kakak bukak TV, Mommy cakap ada cartoon.”

Alamak, she remembered I told her than weekends there is cartoon on TV in the morning. All this while she never ask for TV first thing in the morning.

Well, I need to make them glued somewhere while I prepare breakfast. TV is the best babysitter besides my computer. =P

Breakfast for today; Carrot Fried Rice with no egg but with Char Siew.

They are busy watching Kung Fu Panda now and I am busy updating my list of blogs.

Belle did so well in the nativity act. Just watch the clips. She really sings and “dance” along compared to the rest beside and behind her. Actually they are not supposed to dance but to just be still. What a bore, right? Thank God the teachers don’t discourage those that want to follow along.

Next year, I am pretty sure she no longer wants to be a lamb. I already told her teachers to let her dance next year. Belle loves to dance, just like her mommy.

I always make promises with my children and hubby always rebuke me not wanting them to be disappointed if I can’t keep my promises. Children have very good memory especially if you promise them something that they really like.

When it comes to cartoon channel on the satellite TV, my girls started with Playhouse Disney, then they slowly upgraded to Disney Channel. During that period, all they want is the Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto etc. From the pajamas that they wear to the shoe that they wear. They even asked me to I bring them to Disney World.

Sorry lar girls, your Mommy no money to bring you there now. Later when you grow up, you earn lotsa money then you bring Mommy there instead. Ok? Mommy know where to get the cheapest Disney World Tickets in the world. Mommy blog so many times about it already.

Oh ya, Belle even asked me, “Mommy, you finished your Blogitive?” Opps! Don’t shoot me ah, I never tell my children about me writing paid post, I just tell them that I am working on the computer. She must overheard my conversation with hubby!

Ok, back to Jusco. We went for dinner at Nando’s because I got the Jusco birthday voucher from my colleague to dine at Nando’s. Spend more than RM25, Free 1/4 chicken. Just nice for the 5 of us. Got free flow of Ice Lemon Tea too. Only need to order 2 glasses.

Everyday after kindy Belle will tell me that she wants to stay at Mama’s house and she does not want her daddy to take care of her. I asked for the reason. She told me that her daddy did not let her watch TV or play computer but at my mom’s she can watch TV all the time.

Twice a week hubby will need to do errand and the children get to stay at my mom’s. They will be very happy but not yesterday. My mom told me that Belle kept telling her that she wants me and told my mom to call me and she told my mom that my telephone number has the number “9″. Thank God she did not dial the phone buy herself, if she dials 999, I will be in big trouble!

I told my mom, I know the reason she wanted me. She wants to go home to play with her mini toy house. True enough, she moment she sees me, “Mommy, I want to go home, I want to play with my house.” You see, she did not WANT me, she wants her toy!

I made another of my girls’ dream of having a mini house come true yesterday. They have been asking me to buy this house for months but I can’t afford it then. And since I made slightly more last month and before I become jobless by next year, I bought it for them yesterday.

Belle was surprised the most coz she was not with me when I bough it. She asked,

“Mommy, why did you buy toys for us?”

“Orrr.”

Come to think of it, it was me who wanted the toys! Something that I can’t have when I was at their age. I enjoyed decorating the house with the stickers provided and arranging the living room furniture, bedroom furniture, dining room furniture, etc with Clarissa before Belle return home from church. Once she is back, I have no chance playing with it.

After waving their daddy Goodbyes, I decided to do something interesting than just let them watch their 12 Dancing Princesses and How To Be A Ballet Dancer DVD. I taught my girls ballroom dance! I waltz with Belle around the house. She really enjoyed it but Clarissa decided that she has enough “dragging” from Mommy, and asked me to carry her and dance. That was a very good weight lifting exercise for me!

That’s the song that my girls picked up from Mickey Mouse Playhouse, Disney Chanel. When I first heard them singing the song, I heard the word “Peanuts” as “Peanus” (Penis) because she did not pronounce the “T” clearly. So I asked Belle to repeat it a few times and she still pronounces it as “Peanus”. I did not laugh but pretended not to understand that word and get Belle to explain what it is. “Mommy, elephant love to eat peanus.” Oh! Peanuts!

Here is a picture of Barnabas keeping himself occupied while waiting for me to finish folding the laundry. Well, I did not teach him to do the above. He found a bottle and a container of peanuts and decided to transfer all the peanuts into the bottle. Smart eh? But before he even finish, his naughty sisters snatched it from him and mess up the house with peanuts!

My girls love to dance especially Belle. Her favorite DVD is the Barbie: 12 Dancing Princesses. She loves Ballet but I have no time to send her for Ballet class because I am working full time, even on Saturday. I hope by next year, I would be able to be a SAHM and realize her dream to be a Ballet dancer.

Meantime, since I know a little bit of ballroom dance, especially Waltz and Cha Cha, I am impacting some of my knowledge to her. She enjoys every second of it. Well, to those mommies who does know any dance step, no worries, there are lots of dance video in the market, just grab one of them and learn together with your girl or boy. It will be fun.

Finally my girls has the opportunity to ride on the London Bus touring Malacca city, not London city. And we had the whole bus all to ourselves! There were no other passanger on/in the bus except us, the bus driver and the bus conductor.

We are not allowed to stand and must remain seated all the time but it is hard keeping Clarissa to stay put. She walked from one end to the other end and standing on the chair while the bus is moving so I have to follow her. Kinda scary standing while the bus is moving. Thank God the bus is only moving at 50km/h.

We are going to have another trip soon when Msau and family comes to visit us during Raya.

During the church camp, the adults and the children are separated so that the adults can listen to the preaching without distraction from the children.

Belle stayed put in the children’s class which they call kindergarten church but not Clarissa. Half way she will cry and want me.

Even though Belle stays in the class, she will normally not participate in any games that they play. She will sit in a circle and close her eyes when told too but when it is her turn to play she will refuse to participate. She will tell me that she is shy!

My Belle is now hook to the Mahjong game on my PC. I hardly have time to blog when she is at home. If I don’t allow her to play, she will say that I don’t love her!

I am not a musician and I do not play any musical instruments. However, I do like to listen to good music. Yes, there are good music and bad music. Not all music is good. Not all songs that are sung by various artists are good for the soul. If you are wondering what makes certain music good or bad, try this simple test.

When you listen to the music, what happened to your heartbeat? Does your heartbeat increase erratically when you hear the music/song? If the answer is yes, then the music is not a good music. Please bear in mind that music can be loud but it is still a good music if it does not cause your heartbeat to be erratic.

Or do you feel calm and are able to have a smooth flow in your thinking? If the answer is yes, then the music is a good music. The music tempo and rhythm flows together and there are harmony between the two of them, making it a good music.

Try this, first you listen to one rock n roll music. Try to flow with the tempo and rhythm of the rock song. Notice how you feel or the difference in your heartbeat. Then try listen to Bach or Beethoven classical music. I am sure you will understand what I saying above.

To those who lived in a kampong before, have you ever experienced being pull on a betel nut palm leaf (daun pinang)? I am glad that BIL took the effort to look for one and pulled my children. They really had the time of their life. As far as I can remember, even though I live in a kampong, I never experienced it. Maybe because my dad was always busy with his work and planting paddy and I do not have older uncles around. Hmm…I should have ask that BIL to pull me instead.

I had fun Blogging, Eating, Sleeping & Shopping on Merdeka Day and I did not forget my children.

I brought them to Tesco Playground together with my sister’s son, Dylan. My sister, her new born and my mother also tagged along. They have to come. I can’t handle 4 children in a crowded shopping complex at the same time.

While pushing the trolley with my children and Dylan in it, I saw a cute little girl around 3 years old crying for her mommy. A missing girl! My sister and mother were walking behind me and I signaled my sister to quickly grab hold of her before some bad guy catches her. My sister brought her to the information counter and the little girls didn’t want to let go of my sister’s hand until her mom and 2 more aunties came to get her. You see lar…3 adults also cannot take care of one girl.

Back to my children. They had so much fun playing at the playground. Look at Belle. Can post for me some more. I wish I can dive in with her too.

Barnabas enjoyed the slide the most. He didn’t want to join Belle in the ball pool coz the bigger kids who are playing there are quite rough, throwing the balls around and pushing him.

That day, I brought my children and their cousins all the way to Melaka Mall to watch a movie in MBO cinema but was disappointed because the tickets are all sold out. Then we drove all the way to Mahkota Parade only to be disappointed again with sold out tickets. We did watch the movie though but it was later the night, which is not so good for the children as they were sleepy by then. I regretted not making the tickets reservation online.
