Body Jewelry

Beauty, Parenting No Comments »

Nowadays having just their ears pierced is not enough, they want their nose pierced, belly button, lips, eyebrow, nipples and God knows where else! This gives me an idea to start body jewelry web store.

During my teenage years, having 2 holes on the ear lope is something out of the norm. A few years later, 2 are not enough! As for me, I stick to one hole on each ear. And I really pity some young children that got their ears pierce before 1 year old. They so small what, what they know about beauty and fashion.

As for my children, I am not going to force upon them having their ears pierced. Once they grew up and they want it, they can do it themselves; maximum 2 holes on one ear and no more holes elsewhere!

Mommy Got Chicken Pox too???

Beauty, Clarissa 1 Comment »

While she was sitting on my lap watching CSI, she saw something similar to hers on my neck. “Mommy, look! You got chicken pox too! Just like me.” Alamak! That’s not chicken pox lar, that’s Mommy’s pimple.

Pimples has started to invade my body now. Not only on my face but on my neck too! People say, once you give birth, you won’t have any pimple. That is only true after Belle and Clarissa but after Barnabas, I think I became a teenager again! I need to start using the natural acne treatment. :(

We Got Our Hair Trimmed

Beauty, Belle, Clarissa 3 Comments »

I went to register Belle for an art class yesterday and they required her to have a full set of colour pencil, 24 pieces. I have a lot of colour pencils at home but they are all mixed up in one basket! So, we went to Giant to get a new set just for the art class.

While we were there, I got my back hair trimmed coz I found too many split ends. The hair salon is just 2 doors away from hubby’s shop and the young hairdresser (a guy) is quite close to hubby. So I can expect some discount :D so I asked him to trim Belle’s hair too; front and back .

We paid RM11 for two. Cheap or not? :D

The Beauty in Blue Lotus

blue lotus

Do you know that the blue lotus is the symbol of beautiful? I did not until today.

Not only that it is a beautiful flower, it has many benefits too. Since it is related to beauty, blue lotus has been used in anti-aging creams, sensitive skin care, mild cleansing products, sun care products, hair care for sensitive scalps and many more beauty products.

I also read that it is widely use in massage therapy to increase in lymphatic fluid circulation and an increase in blood circulation. I sure need this kinda massage therapy. When you do not follow strictly the confinement dos and donts, whole body aching after a long day with the kids.

I wanted to trim her hair a few times but she refused. Today, my mom also kenot stand it anymore and coax Clarissa to let me cut her hair. She agreed. Apalagi, gua cepat cepat balik, strip her naked and trim her hair in the bathroom.

To trim Clarissa’s hair is a big challenge because she cannot sit still, cannot sit up straight and refused to obey my instruction.

Look down - she will bend really low instead of just looking down.

Sit up straight - she will do it but for a second only.

Don’t move - she moves!

Whatever instruction I gave, she will do the opposite!

Thank God, her hair turn out alright at the end of it. *fuh*

I like this hair style. It reveals her face and makes her look even cuter. :D

Baldness

Beauty, Health No Comments »

Is it me or there is already a change in perception about baldness. I watched the movie “Hitman” and the main actor is bald. A few of the other actors in the movie are also bald. And mind you, they look good even when they are bald. I am reminded of the star actor Van Diesel in the movie “Triple X” who looks damn hunky especially with his bald head. No, don’t get the impression that I am the “bald” fetish (if there is such a word to describe it) kind of girl. It is just that these actors look good in their baldness and suits the roles they are acting.

I wonder how my hubby would look like if he is really bald. I have seen him with really short hair but not bald. If you ask me whether I want him with hair or bald, I definitely wants him with hair on his head. Baldness is still being viewed in a negative way in this corner of the world. I am sure the perception will change in due time but as for now, I would still do my best to help my hubby prevent baldness if it occurs. The hair will still be the physical crown on his head.

Reduce Your Frowning Wrinkles with Forehead Lifts

Beauty No Comments »

I used to frown a lot until someone told me to stop it unless I don’t mind looking like an old women at a young age. Frowning can expedite the forming of wrinkles. So if you have ant-wrinkles cream, don’t forget to target your forehead, not only at the side of your eyes.

If you can’t help but to frown; there is a remedy for you. Firstly you have to be rich or at least has some money set aside for beauty investment. Hehe. That money will be spent to get a forehead lift. A forehead is recommended for people whose eyebrows have fallen with time and whose forehead has deep wrinkles.

If you are ready, check out New York, NY Forehead Lifts. Read about all you need to know about the procedures and also photos of those who have done it before. Then go ahead, surprise me with your 10 years younger look.

Scratches on Her Face

Beauty, Clarissa 9 Comments »

Yesterday evening, Clarissa was playing at the swing with Barnabas and the maid. As I was walking out to get them. I saw Clarissa fell down while trying to get up on the swing by herself. This time she fell on her face! This is not good.

I was saying to myself, “Please God, no scratches or cuts on her face please.”

But then, the ground is covered with stones and cuts are inevitable. She got a two not so deep cut and lots of scratches on her cheek.

Now I am praying that they won’t leave any marks behind. If not, I need to send her to Los Angeles Plastic Surgeon. Girl mah; face must be flawless. :P

I Want To Be Like Jie-Jie

Barnabas, Beauty, Clarissa, Parenting 7 Comments »

For the past few days, Clarissa wants to look pretty and lady like. She will request me to plait her and she will clip her hair by herself and wear hair band too.

That night, after they bathe. Barnabas chases Clarissa around the hall wanting to grab her hair clips! But to no avail.

Just now, before bathing, Clarissa took of her hand band. He took it and asks his Mak Mak (grandma) to tie his hair. Since his Mak Mak was having her dinner. I tie his hair, “coconut tree” then brought him to the mirror to let him see himself. So happy but took it off within seconds.

Before sleep, Clarissa took of her hair clips and I put on the table. Barnabas found it, quickly took it without Clarissa’s knowledge and ran to his Mak Mak asking her to clip on his hair!

Look my 3rd “girl”. He does look like a girl right?

So happy wearing the hair clips. He even let it stays until he goes to bed.

I wonder, will he become a “sotong” when he grows up. I am a lil bit worried now.

Oh! I just remembered that I must pay up my health insurance this month. Pokai! Pokai!

Look at their eyes.

Clarissa “painted” that by herself and not only to herself but her poor lil brother. I think he did not stay still that made the eyeshadow went to the top of the eyebrow.

Ya, they are naked because they were about to bathe and I received an email from Elina. While busy chatting with her on Gmail chat and also with Chooi Peng on MSN, she committed the crime.

Then I hide the eyeshadow again.

Her: “But Mommy, now I don’t have eyeshadow how?”

Me: “You don’t need any, you are a small girl.”

Her: “Hmmmpphh!”

Wishing For Smoother Face

Beauty, Health, Menceceh No Comments »

I was tempted to ask my hubby for something special for my belated birthday. Most of you know that I suffered from acne when I was in my teens and sometimes I wish that I can have a smoother face skin. Okay… what I wanted to ask my hubby is to buy for me one beauty package. I want one where they will smoothen my face with their beauty products. Oh…the products must be made from natural ingredients like R.G. Skin Revitalizer.

Since this product is made of Gâc, I am sure it would go well with my skin. Gâc is a bright-red fruit that grows as large as a cantaloupe and abundantly on vines all over sub-tropical Asia, especially in Vietnam. I do not think I want products that are made from various chemicals as it can be dangerous and risky for my skin. You see, I have very sensitive skin and I cannot simply use any facial products.

I am not sure about you girls but I know I can only use certain products in the market. I would have to try out the beauty product first by buying a small bottle of it. Normally, it would be in the size of the sample bottle. Once I tried it and if it goes well with my skin, then only I would buy the regular bottle size of the product. However, since my hubby has bought me another special gift, I think I will skip this beauty package for next year.

For Healthier Skin

Beauty, Health, Menceceh No Comments »

Have you heard before that sperms can make your face smoother? Ya! I am serious. I had a lot of acne when I was younger and if I remembered correctly, a Malay lady told me that if I have a boyfriend or husband, I should take some sperm to apply on my face. That sounds so gross! I was still single and available at that time or… maybe not, I just started going out with my now hubby. No way I am going to go into “that” plus the idea of sperm going on my face is totally gross.

If you tell me to cut open a certain fruits and smear on my face the insides, I would do that anytime. Fruits like Gâc. No, no, it is not the Gag, vomit fruit. Gâc is a bright-red fruit that grows as large as a cantaloupe on vines all over sub-tropical Asia, especially in Vietnam. However, the fruit is not to be smear directly on your face, eaten or to drink the juice. The people of Vietnam use the red oily pulp to cook with rice.

gac

The fruit is rich in lycopene, beta-carotene and other potent antioxidants which help support strong cellular rejuvenation throughout the body. That is where R.G. Skin Revitalizer dietary supplement were discovered. A daily skin nourishment exceptionally rich in antioxidants to support your body against damaging free radicals and to help provide nutrient support for strong cellular rejuvenation.

Lipstick and Blusher

make up

I just bought this just now at Jusco. It supposed to be hubby and I dating night but since this Saturday is graduation and price giving day for my girls’ kindy and Belle will be performing, we brought the girls along to look for new dress and make up. This mommy don’t wear make up one, not even lip gloss! :P

This is what happened when I fetch the girls from school just now. The teacher told me that Belle will be dancing and I need to put on make up for her. On the way to the car, “Mommy, we don’t have lipstick. We need to go shopping to buy one. We also don’t have the pink, pink one to put on my face.” You see lar…so small know what to apply on her face! And her mommy don’t wear make up! tsk tsk tsk

At Guardian she saw a make up casing (looks like a mini brief case filled with make up). What’s the proper name for it? It has 2 casing of eyeshadow, blusher, 2 lipsticks and 2 nail polish. Quite cheap, only RM39.98. She took it and brought it to the cashier showing her puppy face. If without her daddy, I would have bought it for her! Daddy told her that she can only have it when she is older. Daddy, next year older by one year already, can buy ah? hehe.

No High Heels for My Girls

Beauty, Belle, Clarissa, Parenting 1 Comment »

When I was young I kinda thank God that I am a tomboy. I don’t like wearing girls outfit and definitely no high heels for me. No tappy-tappy shoe, my girls would say. I wore sports shoe, t-shirt and long pants. I never experience having blister until I started working and having to wear high heels and look for Blister Relief.

That is the reason I would never buy high heels for my girls no matter how they beg me. I would tell them that it is not comfortable and very expensive. So far they will just look at it, admire it but never ask me to buy them.

Prevent Acne Scar

Beauty, Menceceh No Comments »

I am not blessed with smooth porcelain skin. My mom did not tell me how to take care of my skin when my hormones decided to surprise me with lots of acne because she does not have any. When I asked her, she will say, “Last time I don’t have so much pimple like you.” That’s all.

I wish I know the causes of acne at that time so that I can prevent my face from having acne scar. Now nothing much can be done. Nevertheless, as a knowledgeable mommy, I will make sure my children does not have acne scar like their Mommy.

It seems that my acne has returned ever since I gave birth to Barnabas. I am 100% sure; it has to do with the hormone change! I am thinking of getting the Proactiv solution. Since it has money back guarantee, I have nothing to loose.

When I Grow Up, I Will Be Thin

Beauty, Belle, Food, Parenting 1 Comment »

I was just chatting with hubby 2 days ago about Belle will only eat those expensive chocolate. You give her those 20 cents chocolate; she will just look at it and refuse it. Hubby denied it. He noticed that Belle doesn’t eat much chocolate these days. It is because we often tell her that chocolate will make her fat and she is more conscious about her body nowadays.

Glad to know that she has the discipline to refrain from eating food that is fattening. I hope that this will continue as she grows older to be a young lady. No worries about getting any houston lapband to control her appetite.

Recently I noticed that she loves eating fried egg. I reminded her not to eat so much and this is what she told me. “Don’t worry Mommy, when I grow up, I will be thin.” *faints*

Belle’s Guinea Pig

She knew the consequences of applying the nail polish on her finger nails. It caused her soft nails to peel. She was peeling it while sitting beside me when I was watching movie 2 days ago.

But she has the nail polish right? Hmmm, who can she apply it on? Clarissa wants to do by herself. Barnabas won’t sit still. Mommy finger nail is to pretty to touch. :P

Look! She got her daddy’s toe. Huge and lots of space to paint. :D

As for the eyeshow, she managed to coax Clarissa to let her do it.

See, her eyes so small like mine, laugh until eyes closed!

nail polish

This is the reason why I need the nail polish remover. To clean their finger nails and toe nails. They do not only apply once but many many many times!

They have been asking me for nail polish for quite a while but I didn’t want to buy for them. It is not good for their soft nails. Belle’s nails will peel after applying the nail polish.

Since they can’t get any nail polish, they use the marker pen, magic colour pen or whatever colorful pen to paint their nails, face and eyes. That is also why I allowed them to buy the eye shadow.

If you are wondering, I am not their role model. I don’t put on make up at all, not even lip gloss. They observe my sister.

Urgh! I wish they are tomboy like me. Play with toy soldier, guns, climb tree instead of Barbie dolls, playhouse and makeups. :P

Helping Mommy To Age Faster

Beauty, Belle, Clarissa, Education, Parenting 1 Comment »

Every morning I will sure loose temper at my girls. If not Belle, it will be Clarissa.

Refuse to wake up
Refuse to leave their comforter
Refuse to their bed
Refuse to take off their pajamas
Refuse to go into the bathroom
Refuse to brush teeth
Refuse to wear their clothes
Refuse to leave the room
Refuse to enter the car
Refuse to come out of the car
Refuse to leave my mom’s house
Refuse to walk by herself to the car
Refuse to share the breakfast
Refuse to come out of the car to into the kindy premise

It is going to be a year like that. No wonder I age very face these days. So many lines pop up. If they don’t get out of this phase soon, even skinceuticals won’t help stop more wrinkles from developing.

Wei! You want you Mommy to age faster is it???

AMO skin care

Beauty, Menceceh No Comments »

AMO skin! I have AMO skin! Yes I do. When I say AMO, I am not referring to the white skin people as what most of us would understand it. No, AMO stand for Asian, Mediterranean and Olive (AMO) skin types. So I definitely have an AMO skin type. What is the fuss about AMO skin types? Well, one thing for sure, your skin type will determine the types of skin products you should use. Not any kinds of products are suitable for you. One brand may suit one person but it may not necessarily suit you. The Americans and Europeans have different types of skin and their skin care products are probably not suitable for Asians.

That is why ORIKI Cosmeceuticals have developed products specifically for those with AMO skin types. AMO skin types are more pigmented. There are whole new products that are introduced each year and it is a daunting task to find the right products for our skin. It is important to match the right products with the right skin types. Wrong match can cause unnecessary side effects. Those with pigmented skin should definitely try ORIKI products as it incorporates the pigmentation factor into the formulation of its skincare line. Maybe I will try their Rejuvenating Cream which is an anti-aging cream with botanical antioxidants.

Don’t Trust His Sweet Talk

Beauty, Health, Marriage No Comments »

I read in the newspaper today that one way to win the husband heart is by being slim and sexy even after having children. The husband will surely deny it; they will surely tell you that they love you the same even though you body is as round as a tempayan (big vase). But whenever both of you go out, watch where he is looking. I am sure his eyes will be glued to those sexy and slim ladies.

I have been neglecting exercising and keeping fit because my hubby said the same too. After reading the article, I don’t trust his sweet talk anymore. Hehe. :P Worse come to worse I will go for the houston lap band surgery. :D

CL Cream

Barnabas, Beauty, Health No Comments »

Barnabas has been having rashes on his thigh, even the cream that the clinic gave does not work. My SIL gave me a cream named CL that she got from the local pharmacy here. It works, his rashes is almost gone after applying it. SIL uses it on her baby face to get rid of the face rashes. She told me just now that it can be applied to pimples too. The pimples will dry out very fast. I wonder whether this better than those skin care products that I ‘ve bought. If yes, I would save a lot of money coz the cream only cost RM5 for one small container!

Your Face is Worse

Beauty No Comments »

My colleague told me that last Sunday, her SIL made a very hurting remark about her face just because she wanted to sell her beauty product to her. “I noticed that you face is getting worse now! You better try the product I am selling.” That statement shocks my colleague. There is nothing wrong with her face and no breakouts too. In her heart she was saying, no improvement on the SIL’s face after month using the product but she did not voice it out. She just smiles and told her that she cannot afford it because it is quite costly and walked away. She told her hubby about it though and her hubby called his sister up and scolded her for saying that his wife’s face is worse than before.

That SIL loves gambling too. At least two to three times a month she and her hubby will drive up Genting to gamble. She told my colleague that when she has enough saving from selling the beauty product she would want to go to Las Vegas and stay in Caesars Palace to gamble! No wonder she is forcing people to buy her products. If she were to say the same to me, I will surely give it back to her. I won’t keep quiet like what my colleague did.

All of us women will experience at least one of these 3; cellulite, hair loss and menopause. As for me, I am have 2 of the above and another one in 30 years time hopefully not earlier. The cellulite develops during pregnancy. Hair loss 4 months after delivery and menopause will surely come. So far I am not doing anything about it because my hair loss is not that alarming and I don’t wear bikini. :P

However, all the above can be treated except menopause but you can minimize the menopause symptom like hot flashes. There are a lot of products for hair loss treatment, cellulite cream and menopause but how to find the product that is the most effective? The best way to choose which product to buy is by hearing what others who have used it got to say about it. Yes, product reviews from those who actually have used them.

At TrustSource.org, you can find product reviews and also ranking for all the above women’s problem that I mentioned. People are allowed to rate the products that they presented on the site.
