No HSM 3 Tonight

Belle, Clarissa, Entertainment 1 Comment »

Sorry girls, Mommy have to disappoint you tonight because Mommy is sick again! :(

Thank you for being such an obedient girls by napping just now so that both of you can stay awake at the movie tonight.

Mommy know that both of you are really looking forward for your 2nd movie in the cinema but what to do, your Mommy is stubborn! Cannot resist temptation. :)

Clarissa even remembered that her first movie at the cinema was Ratatouille (I forgotten already). She even reminded me to buy her popcorn and drinks, bring along jacket and watch movie on a big TV.

Let’s see whether we can make it tomorrow.

Diaper Bag

Parenting No Comments »

With the recession on the horizon now, we have to be thrifty with our money. Furthermore, with No. 4 coming, more money will be needed. I would love to have one of those Ju Ju Be diaper bag. As for now, I will have to make use of whatever bags that is available in the room now to put in the diapers, baby bottles, milk etc. It is convenient and easy to carry baby things in diaper bags rather than stuffing them in the normal plastic bags.

Belle not Only can Talk but She Lectures

Belle, Family 4 Comments »

Last week one of Belle’s teacher ask me whether Belle talks a lot at home. Well, of course she talks but only when it is necessary. She is not chatter box. She has more of her daddy genes. Her teacher told me that she is extremely quiet in class. Only speaks when teacher asks her question. She does not chit chat with her friends at all unless they talk to her first (just like me! hahaha). I guess not many of them talk to her because Belle speaks English; most of them are Chinese speaking. Well, I am fine with that because Belle did not complaint about it. She told me that she only talk to her teacher.

****

I just read Chinnee’s and Jazzmint’s post about their maid. They reminded me about what happened recently with my maid. My maid is not perfect either but I don’t make much fuss about it. Little things that she does not do, I do. If she forgets, I remind her and tell her to make sure that it is done in the same day. As for me, as long as the house is clean, she does not steal money and her passport and run away and MIL is happy with her, I am fine with it.

Only recently we caught her lying but I do not want to make a fuss about it but not Belle. You should listen to how she lectures the maid!

That particular day, the maid and MIL was plucking some jambu air and I saw Clarissa came to me chewing one jambu air. I asked her who gave her the fruit, she said “Kakak”. I asked her whether Kakak washes the jambu, she said, “I don’t know.”

That evening Clarissa complaints of stomachache and she purged 3 times. So I figured it must be the jambu air. When we came home from my mom’s, I asked the maid whether she gave Clarissa the jambu air, she said “Takda. Mak bagi.” So I asked MIL, in front of the maid, MIL said NO too. So who is lying now? So I told them what happened to Clarissa.

Belle was listening and asked me what is lying in Malay, I told her “tipu.” She immediately sounded her Kakak, “Kakak! Kamu tidak boleh tipu. Nanti saya panggil polis.” The maid just laughed; I walked away to my room, lazy to get angry about this issue.

In my room, Belle told me that it is not right to lie and Kakak cannot lie. I nodded. She marched out of my room and the next thing I heard Belle was lecturing, almost sounded like scolding her Kakak!

Kakak! Dengar sini. Kamu tidak boleh tipu. Kalau kamu tipu, saya suruh Ma’am telephone polis, tangkap Kakak masuk jail. Kakak faham tak!

The next day, after coming back from school, right before entering the house she asked me what is jail in Malay. I told her, “penjara.” She reminded her Kakak again about lying but this time saying Penjara instead of Jail. I guess she figured that her Kakak does not understand what is Jail.

Through this incident, I can already imagine when she is older, if we still have a maid by then, the maid will sure kena teruk from her if the maid did anything wrong!

No Wedding Dress for My Girls

Belle, Clarissa, Family, Finance, Marriage, Shopping 2 Comments »

The last wedding in my family will be in a month time; one day before my birthday! ;) The wedding of my youngest sister to her first love whom she met when she was in Form 3 and he, in Form 5. My sister is 26yo this year.

As I was helping out printing her wedding invitation envelopes, suddenly it strikes me that my girls have no new dress for her wedding! I totally forgotten about them; I bought mine when I was shopping for maternity dress last month.

My mom said not to buy any new dress for them, no one will notice. But everyone else will look gorgeous in their best evening dress, I don’t want my girls to feel left out and of course others will take notice because they would want to see who my father’s grandchildren are. Wedding is the only time they can see everyone at one place.

My urge to buy them a wedding dress is very strong now even though we are financially tight. I think I shall drive them over to Parkson soon, close both eyes and just swipe my credit card, thanks to www.credit-land.com. :D

Ever since I stopped working, I have also stopped buying new clothing for my girls because with no fix income I have to stop spending on things that are not vital. Credit card will only be used only when we need to make big purchases. Other than that, we stick to cash.

St Mary Kindergarten & Primary School

Belle, Clarissa, Education 3 Comments »

Since Clarissa insisted that she doesn’t want to go to her old kindy next year, I registered her to St Mary Kindergarten (Chinese) where the schooling hour is shorter (half an hour shorter than her previous kindy) and they follow school holidays; meaning they will have more holidays. The current kindy that Belle is attending and also Clarissa’s previous kindy only have one week holiday before the next school year. Since I am not working any more, I don’t need them to be in school all year round.

In order to save petrol and also school fees, I am also transferring Belle to this school kindy too. If not, I might need to buy a scooter/motorbike to save petrol! Furthermore, I doubt Clarissa would want to attend the kindy all by herself since she is so used to have her sister around. And Belle would be happy to have her sister back (she has been requesting me to let Clarissa go back to school with her almost everyday; she misses her sister’s company.) Oh ya, the kindy fee is only RM60 per month. Mommy no longer earning for the family so everything have to cut cost. :(

I also noticed that the kindy has a real playground now. Don’t know which YB sponsored them with swings, slides, see-saw and those bouncy animals recently. before this they only have one cement slide.

Since I am there, I also registered them to the primary school. This school only has around hundred over student; a very small school which I like! Just like the school I attended when I was in primary except this one is a Chinese school.

In the school premises, it has a church, an old chapel, a kindergarten and also a Catholic Cemetery right behind the school; kinda typical missionary school eh. They have no Malay student or teacher except one Malay clerk. I wonder why.

Two tasks done for my girls today. Now, I need to drill Clarissa on her ABCs! Her attention span is very very short! :(

Don’t Drive Fast Fast

Barnabas No Comments »

As I mentioned in few of my previous post; my son is becoming more chatty each day. He absorbs information; especially speech like a sponge. He listens to what his sisters said but he did not repeat them immediately; no parroting. When the time comes for him to use the words or phrase, he will say it exactly like how his sisters would.

For example, a few weeks ago, Clarissa was standing at the seat behind and I needed to brake and she almost fall. She said this, “Mommy, don’t drive fast fast.” Yesterday, Barnabas was standing and I brake at the junction. He lost his balance but did not fall and he said exactly the same phrase as Clarissa! Thank God he didn’t say, “Mommy, I will hire the Waco Personal Injury Attorney to sue you if I hurt myself!”

Lack of Calcium?

Belle, Parenting 5 Comments »

3 days ago Belle woke up and discovered that the tooth next to the shaky tooth is shaky too! Besides that her fingernails are so ugly now because she kept peeling them off. It seems that her nails easily peel off.

So I figured that she lacks calcium because she stops drinking milk for a month now. So I told her that she must drink milk again; she obliged.

Yesterday, I took a look at her tooth and so happy to see that there is a new tooth sprouting out! Well, this proves that calcium is not the 100% cause of her loose tooth. Her permanent tooth can’t wait to come out! My girl is growing up pretty fast eh. :D

So I told hubby to pull out the loose tooth (yes! i chicken out) today as I do not want that tooth to get in the way of the new tooth. Don’t want her to have crooked set of teeth like her mommy and daddy.

But hubby didn’t want to pull out the tooth because the loose tooth is very loose already and not in the way of the new tooth. He said to let the loose tooth drop by itself. You say one arh? Later if your girl’s teeth crooked, you come out money for the braces, ok! :P

As for the fingernails, I figured the nail polish is the culprit because I just remembered that my nails will peel too if I use cheap nail polish! Last week, my sister painted her nails! So, no more nail polish for Belle.

Children & Education

Clarissa, Education, Parenting 2 Comments »

When I asked Clarissa whether she wants to go to school, she answered me, “No, I want to sleep”. Haizzz…is that all she thinks about. Then I probed her again, “If you go to school, you can learn new things like Jie Jie Annabelle”. “No, I don’t want to go school” again was her reply. “In school you can learn to sing, new songs, and you can learn to dance too” I tried to make her interested in the topic. “No, I don’t want to go to school”. Well, with that the conversation comes to an end. And she continued to eat her pau and drink her Milo.

Sorry Girls, No Genting Next Month

Family, Finance, Holiday No Comments »

My girls has been pestering me to bring them to Genting Highland for a holiday. A few days after that I was blessed by a friend with free rooms and theme park tickets. I only need to spend on petrol, tol and food. Honestly I don’t have much money to spend but for my children’s sake, I will take any credit card offers that comes. Spend first, pay later!

Have Jesus

Barnabas, Dove, Parenting 2 Comments »

In my car on the way home from my mom’s. The surrounding are very dark as we pass the rubber plantation.

Barnabas: Mommy, Barbas scared. Got Monster.
Me: Don’t have Monster.
Barnabas: Have Jesus?
Me: Yes! :D

He has been listening when I told his sisters not to be afraid of the dark or monsters because they have Jesus who will always protect them. :D
