To see them sick again!

They were all up and running around the house, chatty and bubbly and fighting again during my 2 days of bedridden. Yes! I was in bed for almost 48 hours except when I need to go to the toilet.

They brought my medicine to me, switch off and one the light for me, brought hanky for me to blow my nose, brought water for me to drink and cover me with their comforter coz I was shivering. They are better than a nurse. Barnabas insisted to put the pills in my mouth and make sure I drink my water. Clarissa just lay on the same pillow as mine and suck away her finger. Belle slept beside me.

Today, the fever has left me but it has returned to Barnabas and Clarissa! Belle still have not stop coughing.

It really pains my heart to see all of them sick again.

My only prayer now is…”God please don’t take them away from me.”

My youngest sister called me up the other day asking whether I still want a pet dog. My uncle just brought home a pitch black puppy; a cross breed between a Rotweiler and a street dog.

We did not have any dog living with us since Belle the dog died a few months ago. I love puppies but not dog. Hehe. I love to have one for my children to play around with but I heard from hubby that MIL does not want to rear anymore dog.

That evening I went to my mom’s house and my sister brought home the puppy for the children to play. OMG! The puppy is super duper cute. I fell in love with him at the first sight! I really regretted not having my camera with me. I don’t mind spending on Angel Eyes Pet Tear Stain Eliminator if that if one of the requirements to keep him but…

Yes! There is a BUT. My son stood far away from where we are, observing us having fun playing with the playful puppy. He is scared of the puppy! I tried bringing the puppy near him, he screamed his lung out!

Oh well, I have to kiss that cute puppy good bye. That was our first and last meet.

Sneezing
Shivering
Aching

Not forgetting the morning sickness is still there.

One of the joys of being a mother is to see the baby smiling, cooing or gurgling. That innocent care-free look on the face of the baby will bring joy to the heart. All the pain and difficulties of taking care of them seems to disappear for that moment. That sweet smile or the sound of the baby gurgling will surely melt my heart. It is the precious moments between the mother and her baby. Times like that I wished I had my camera or video on standby so that I can capture that moment.

Now my three babies have grown up. Many times as I look back in my blog and computer, I managed to find some of my children’s photos. And it always brings a smile on my face to see these photos of them smiling, laughing or playing among themselves. Sometimes I see myself in them. Sometimes when I look at the pictures, I can’t believe that my children have grown up and how fast time flies.

Was at my mom’s the whole day so that the maid can have some time to rest.

Praise God that by now, the fever has left Belle and Clarissa but not Barnabas. His temperature doesn’t seem want to go down after his 3pm dose of paracetamol. The maid is helping me to sponge him now.

While at my mom’s place, when I switch on the TV, he requested for “cooking”. The show on AFC during that time is Restaurant Makeover so the cooking is in the later part of the show. He kept on insisting, “Mo (want) cooking.”

He prefers watching people cook than watching cartoons like his sisters! Hope that he will grow up to be a cook himself then he can cook for his Mommy.

Belle is down with fever since Monday. Her temperature did not reduce even after 4 hourly of paracetamol so I brought her to the clinic. When we are almost reaching, she vomited twice on the car seat! Thank God the clinic is beside hubby’s shop and hubby helped to clean up the vomit. I vomited twice too!

This morning around 2.40am Barnabas woke up with fever too. I gave him his sister’s paracetamol syrup. When I was washing the syringe, I heard him cough then cried. He vomited! Then I gave him another 2ml of the syrup, carried him out from the room, he vomited again! All the papaya’s and black jelly from last night came out. After that he managed to doze off again.

At around 7am, Clarissa woke up coughing and when I touches her forehead, it is hot too! Gave her paracetamol too and she is fine now.

I told the maid that all 3 is down with fever; she told me that she is having fever too!

Later when MIL woke up, she does not look well. When asked, she too is down with fever!

I told Belle about it. She asked, “Is it because all of them touch me?” Lazy to explain, I just nodded. Then she said, “Nobody is going to touch me now. Nobody is going to take care of me.” Alamak! Kesian-nye. “Mommy will touch you and Mommy will take care of you.”

After breakfast, I quickly pop in my Usana Essential. Pregnant Mommy cannot fall sick!

My heart really aches for them. As a mother, I dread seeing my children falling sick. They are not as jovial as before. They can be very jovial and happy when they are healthy. All three of them are down with fever, cough and flu. It really aches me to see and hear them cough and cry. I really wish that there is something that I can do to take away instantly their sickness and pain. Even the medicine syrup does not seem to help much.

On Sunday, Belle complained to me that her front tooth hurts when she bites her food especially meat which is her favorite. Later in the day she told me that that tooth can move! Oh No! Don’t tell me it is going to be that soon??? I check it out and YES! it moves a lil bit. I am quite surprise coz all her teeth are perfect unlike Clarissa’s and Barnabas’. Hers no decay or caries at all and she seldom eat sweets and chocolates I wonder whether it is due to her not wanting to drink milk anymore.

So she asked me what is going to happen. I told her that a new tooth is coming out soon to replace that tooth. “When my tooth come out, I put it under my pillow and the tooth fairy will turn it into money?” she asked. Hmmm…I didn’t teach her that!

So I told her that when it is time for the tooth to be extracted and she is brave enough to let us do it, she will receive a surprise from the tooth fairy! The tooth fairy will be none other that her mommy! But I didn’t tell her that lar.

The weather has been very hot for the past few days so I decided to buy another baby pool for my children. The previous 5 feet ring pool, I have no idea where it has gone too! This time around I just bought a small one enough for the 3 of them to have a dip on a hot, sunny day. It requires less water, easier to dry and does not take much space to keep.

Unfortunately Belle came out shivering after half an hour in the water and later, woke up from her afternoon nap with fever. I learned a new lesson today. No pool right after a school. Too hot and too cold is bad for the body.
