Tortoise Escape Attempt Failed
Pet May 3rd, 2008I think the tortoise got bored watching 2 fatty chubby girls ballet. And since they were not looking, the female tortoise escaped! The shell must be very strong coz she has to jump down from the coffee table. Belle found her sitting quietly under the chair.
The moment we put her back into the container, she tried to escape again. And this is how she did it.
So smart eh?
I tried to video tape it but the moment I press my start button. She did not move a muscle. I think she is video shy.

dunno what box lar…only when they wanna play with it. if not back to the small fish aquarium.

Those turtles have nothing to do in that clear plastic box. They will always try to escape. Their shells are part of their bones (ribs) and can break. It’s not good for them to fall from such a height. Now that you know they can escape and will escape, please put them in a home with taller sides. They also need something more interesting to keep them wanting to stay where they are.
It’s very easy to step on such a small turtle without realizing it, so have an escapee running around will not be a good thing.

thanks for d advice. i already got a wider and taller box for them to play. what do they like to play with??? any suggestion?

my BIL kept turtles too. He put it in a bucket with some stones and a little water to keep them occupied.

It’s a code in the animal kingdom. We don’t do what you want on video… Ask my mum. She’s had loads of experience trying to capture me in action but to no avail. heh…heh… Kess
