In His Time

My girls finally attended art class today. At first it was only Belle who registered for it but since Clarissa insisted that she wanted to join too, I let her try. The fee is quite reasonable compared to a few other art classes. Only RM35 for 2 hours a week. In which they teach from using Colour Pencil, Crayon, Poster Colour, Water Clour, Drawing and also Arts and Craft. I almost sign up for the class too but chicken out last minute! hehe.

The teacher is quite impressed by Clarissa’s colouring skill for a 3.5yo. But she can only stay focus for the 1st one hour only. After that, she got bored and started to scribble instead of colour, so I have to remind her again and again to colour nicely. The outlined is coloured by the teacher.

Belle did well too. She is 5yo, so this is kinda expected of her. Next class, they have been upgraded to using crayon. And Mommy has to spend more but thank God they told me both of them can share the crayons.

Belle was so excited about the art class after I brought her to register on Thursday. She asked when is Saturday, the day she is supposed to start. I told her that she has to sleep 2 nights for Saturday to come. On that day, she told me to drive faster so that she can go home to sleep!

This morning she woke up early, before us and woke me up. I told her that it is not time yet and ask me when is 10 o’clock. Where will the long needle and short needle point to? When I finally woke up at 8.30pm, I saw Belle staring at the clock!

For lazy bum like me, diet pills are the only way to loose weight. And…I found the list of best diet pills in the market!!! Who dare try it with me? I know my lady boss would, my colleague also but I am not so in favor swallowing pills. Even those health supplements I often skip. I think I’d rather be a fatty bom bom than swallowing pills before each meal.

Last Saturday, we attended a wedding dinner at EQ. This evening, another wedding dinner at LTP; how to lose weight like that? Since this is gonna be an expensive dinner, it will be such a waste of money with we don’t eat. After this MUST go on diet again. Hmmm…when did I start dieting arh??? Can’t seem to remember.

So tonight, since there won’t be anyone home, the children and the maid will be staying over at my mom’s. They are so happy about it because they seldom get to put up the night at their mama’s house.

I only know the date today. It is in 2 weeks time; June 15.

So what are we having for Daddy? I have no idea! Buy him gold cufflinks? That would be nice if the children are older and earning their own income. hehe.

Daddy doesn’t really fancy fine dining. To him, as long as tummy filled ok already.

I got an idea! All 4 of us will give him a full body massage on Father’s Day. He would LOVE that and the children would have so much fun playing and smearing their Daddy’s body with lotion.

Good idea or not?

I went to register Belle for an art class yesterday and they required her to have a full set of colour pencil, 24 pieces. I have a lot of colour pencils at home but they are all mixed up in one basket! So, we went to Giant to get a new set just for the art class.

While we were there, I got my back hair trimmed coz I found too many split ends. The hair salon is just 2 doors away from hubby’s shop and the young hairdresser (a guy) is quite close to hubby. So I can expect some discount so I asked him to trim Belle’s hair too; front and back .

We paid RM11 for two. Cheap or not?

Not so long already.

The Angpow that I gave my mom, you know what she bought with it? A handbag to put more Angpows for my youngest sister’s wedding this November! We brought her shopping the next day because she told us that she wanted to buy a new handbag.

Ok…like any other woman, my mom does have a few handbags; it is not unusual for her to add to her collection. But why now, in May? Normally when she buys handbag it would be for Chinese New Year. That is the time of the year that she will usually buy a new handbag. Then it strikes my mind when she told me that she needed a big handbag to keep the Angpows. It is for my sister’s wedding.

I wonder whether she would want a new watch to match with her new handbag. The baume mercier collection is nice but I need sacrifice my one month salary in order to buy one. Talking about watch, I have not been changing my watch since 1998. Yup! Have been wearing the same watch for 10 year already. Very faithful and durable watch I have, ya? Actually I am still waiting for someone to give me a new watch. Hehe.

Mommy, this fruit look like Goldfish.

Before the Fish Spa I prepared Belle & Clarissa by telling them that the fish has no teeth. They don’t bite but will only nibble. Belle agreed to try it but not Clarissa. She tagged along but dare not put her feet in. We forced; she screamed and wailed her lung out in fear. LOL.

Belle was reluctant in the beginning but knowing her, someone who loves physical sensation; she loves massage, put her foot in after observing what happened to us. It started with one foot, then the other and then her whole legs. She even wanted to sit inside the pool like me but the water is too deep for her.

She is still wearing her kindy t-shirt because I did not expect her to come in with us!

Oh ya, the place is called Dr Fish in Melaka. They do offer body massage and foot reflexology besides Fish Spa and they do have nice glass sink in their massage room.

My mom told me that my sister’s son now dare not sit at the front seat anymore. When entering the car, he will not demand to sit at the front seat as always but will quietly sit at the back seat. The reason to is because he saw the advertisement on TV about an accident and the damage it caused of you don’t wear the seatbelt. I guess the scene terrified him!

The other day I went out to buy breakfast with Clarissa but she kept urging me to bring her go shopping. I told her that I do not have extra money for that. She then told me that she has a lot of money. I asked. “Where?” “In my elephant” she replied. That’s hubby’s piggy bank! Thank God she did not claim our checking account hers yet!

I was standing right in front of him. He hold his kookoobird and screams for Kakak.

“Kaaaaaaakakkkkkkk, mo shee shee.”

Until the maid come running to him and bring him to the toilet!

Nowadays, when the weather is extremely hot, I will try not to drive my old junk with my children around. I have bad experience with the old radiator that runs dry after 15 minutes of driving under extreme weather. Even after changing to new radiator, the indicator sometimes goes up higher than usual. That really worries me. I wonder whether Integra Radiator would do the same.

As for now, thank God for hubby’s car, I will exchange to his car when I need to go to town to do some shopping or pop up at his shop with his children.

Yesterday was my mom’s 53rd birthday. Yes, she is young. She got married at 19yo and got me at 20yo. So you can guess my age already huh?

When I told my children that “Today is Mama’s birthday.” This is what they told me, “Mommy, I want to give Mama Angpow.” To my children, birthday gift is Angpow, not Toys because toys they can get almost everytime they go shopping with me!

Well, every year I give my mom’s Angpow too. Easier that way, she can buy what she like with the cash. So this year, I split my Angpow to 3 packets for each of my children. I wonder whether she will use her Angpow money to invest in ademco security product. You know lar, she is getting older and alone at home with her grandchildren during working hour.

Upon reaching my mom’s, they stood in front of my mom and sang her the Happy Birthday song then gave the Angpows to their Mama. Then each of them hug, kiss and told her that they love her. I am so proud of them and my mom too. When my dad returned home my mom proudly told him what her grandchildren did to her.

That night all of us went for dinner at Portuguese Settlement. All my siblings and my aunt with her 4 children which my mom used to babysit when they were babies except my 1st sister who is teaching in Kuching .

SORRY is extremely expensive for the other 2 of my children.

For Annabelle, it is so difficult to get the word “Sorry” out from her mouth. It like she will die if she say the word. But she will eventually say the word grudgingly and in hears. Sometimes she purposely didn’t want to pronounce it properly.

As for Barnabas, just now was the first time I asked him to apologize for hitting me. He wanted a pudding so I helped to tear of the cover and suck out the juice so that it won’t mess up his hands. He hit my face thinking that I am going to eat his pudding. So I refused to give him the pudding unless he apologize. Did he? NO. He rather not have the pudding than to apologize! In a way, it wasn’t his fault. It was just a misunderstanding.

My girls love Disney Cartoons especially from the Playhouse Disney Channel. At home, no Astro for them except when they are at my mom’s. Since I got this computer, Belle will be hooked to the Playhouse Disney website. She loves all of them. From Mickey Mouse to Handy Manny. Maybe one day, God willing, I’ll bring my whole family to Orlando and visit Walt Disney World Resort and even Universal Studios Orlando.

Small children tend to use a lot of the word “Then” when they tell story or report certain event. Normally they will go like this.

Mommy, I saw a cat then I a saw a dog then the dog chase the cat then the cat run to hide.

This is how Clarissa would say it…

Mommy, I saw a cat now I a saw a dog now the dog chase the cat now the cat run to hide.

She confused between the two words. I corrected her a few times but she still prefers to use NOW.

During our trip to Tiara Beach Resort, I discovered something abnormal about Clarissa. While watching the Aerobatic Show at night, I noticed that she sat side ways and watched with her left eye only. So I made her to sit straight. She still watches with her left eyes by turning her head to the left.

Having astigmatism myself, I guess the night lighting is the reason she can’t focus so well. Anyway, to confirm that she did not develop lazy eye, I brought her to see the optometrist last week.

She drops a kind of liquid into her eyes to make her pupil enlarge to diagnose the problem. Thank God her eyes are ok. Maybe it was just a habit that she develops when she was watching TV without glasses all this while.

So now, we just have to remind her again and again to watch with both eyes.

Why people would want to go for Las Vegas vacations? 2 reasons. Either they go there to look for money or to spend money. SORRY is very cheap to Clarissa. I think it is because she has to apologize too many times that she became numb to that magic word. After she hit her sister or brother, we will tell her to say “Sorry”. It came so fast, “Sowee”. Seconds or minutes after than she repeats her nuisance again, then she will quickly say, “Sowee”. At times it comes to the extend that her daddy will tell her, “No, I do not want your SORRY!”

What would you do?

I like this one. No need to stop to drink water. And if there is any pile of cowdung on the field that comes his way, can use the bulldozer in his hand to push it away.

Clarissa prefers to just bounce on the ball.

Belle can dribble the ball quite well eh. She played with her daddy a few times and she must be a fast learner too.

This blog and my others blog eventually will go to my children. Since these blogs are generating some income, this will be my inheritance for them. These blogs will not end when my life on earth ended. I would want them to continue for their children and children’s children. What a big dream, I have.

I wonder whether I need to get the password vault, so that they do not have to remember so many passwords and so that they won’t forget them; especially to login to my blog advertising accounts. But what if they have no interest in blog??? Got interest in earning money enough already eh. That will motivate them to blog.

I did received a card and a drawing. 2 cards from Clarissa and a drawing from Belle and today I saw an unfinished card from Belle.

Clarissa: “Happy Mother’s Day! Look, I’ve got cards for you.”
Belle: “Happy Mother’s Day! I colour Eagle, Mommy chicken and baby chick for you.”
Me: Thank you so much. Admiring their gifts.
Them: Give back to me, Mommy, I want to keep inside my back.

When is Teacher’s Day?

I saw some cakes at my mom’s. She told me that my sis received them from her students for Teacher’s Day and I noticed there some lots of flowers in her room too. My sis is a Kindergarten Teacher you see.

As for my children, so far they did not tell me anything about celebrating Teacher’s Day so that save my hard earned money! Hehe

When I was in primary school, you couldn’t believe what I gave my teacher; from orchid which my mom plants, I gave them Kampung Eggs! And they really appreciate it because Kampung Egg is expensive!

The maid caught it. We have many of them flying around our house. Poor baby. Will get the maid to let it go.

Then later, BIL brought back 2 puppies for my children to play. They are the neighbour’s and NO we are not going to rear them.

Update: May 14. Clarissa accidentally let the baby bird escape. She was playing with the lid and reading the baby shower invitations and I think she didn’t realised that she lifted it up quite high and the baby bird managed to fly away. I am very happy that it escapes.

Since I started working half day, I nap with my children almost everyday! Not only I am lazy to exercise, I sleep a lot too. That really helps to put extra weight on my body. I really need to start looking for diet pills that work. That is the only way for a lazy bum like me. But then, I am a little worried about the side effects.

Barnabas is surely catching up for the months that he is not speaking. He is catching up real fast and love repeating what we say especially his Jiejie’s and mine. But he did not simply become a parrot. He thinks before he repeats.

From one word, to 2 words sentence to 3 words sentence and to complaining about his Jiejie’s mischief all in a month time! I wonder whether he can say patch panels.

The best Mother’s Day gift from my son.

Clarissa has been diaper free since October 2007 with only 2 times accident during the first 2 weeks.

Surprisingly she wet her bed 2 days in a row at almost the same time, last night and the night before. The first time it happened, I thought she might drink too much before bed but I doubt it. But when it happened again last night even after making sure she PU before bed, I suspected it has to do with her test.

She is a very carefree girl, with no worries in the world and being pampered by her teachers because she is the smallest, youngest and cutest girl in her class. They all call her “Cute, Cute”. What more with the glasses on!

I read here that Bedwetting is sometimes a sign that the child is upset or worried about something. With the threat that she got from her teacher (canning and not allowed to go home if she refused to do the test all by herself) that once love her so much, I guess that worries her. It also made her confused.

This morning, she repeatedly asks me what day is tomorrow and whether tomorrow is a schooling day.

So I told one of her teachers (the one that threaten her was not around) about what happened and she will inform the principal about it.

Don’t get me wrong. I am ok with the teacher threatening her with cane; I myself always wave the cane at her and use all kind of threat when soft talk does not work. I guess she is immune to me doing that. hehe

The real exam is in June. I hope by then, she will get the message that she is a big girl now and she has to be more independent and not depend on the teacher to do her school work.

Let’s see whether she wet her bed tonight since tomorrow is no school day. If she does, I got to find other cause to this bedwetting phenomenon.
