Anyone else going for durian hunt after looking at them enjoying their durians? :P

The flesh is thick but I did not try any. Don’t really fancy eating durian. I hate dislike the smell. So schmelly!

Durian is also known for its heatiness. Heaty food is not good for my body. Besides balloon-ing my hemorrhoids, it will also cause breakouts. Then I have to spend money on acne treatment. I’d rather refrain. :P

Look! That is the biggest durian from our only durian tree that bears fruit.

I hope the flesh is as big and thick as the fruit.

Trapped

lock

We either break the door or break the knob. Since the key to the door knob has gone missing many many years, I opt to break the knob then can buy new knob to replace it…with keys!

I got panicked when I couldn’t open the door using the phone card like I usually do to open my boss’ office door. With their permission of course coz sometimes they forget to bring their keys.

So I called my dad. My dad came with our handyman neighbour.

breaking

Told him to break the door knob lar….looks so easy. Break only mah. :P

culprit

This is the culprit; hiding behind my room door in fear. She locked the door and left her sibling in there.

victim

This is the victim; crying his lung out while he was in the room.

This notti mommy threaten to report this to the policeman. Belle pulled me to the side with tears in her eyes begging me not to do so. “Mommy, don’t send Clarissa to the police station. I love my sister. I want 2 (both) of them.”

Me: Clarissa! Why are you so notti???
Me: How to love you?
She: Hug…must hug.

Oh…Ok. That’s how to love. :D

Slow Loading

Sometimes when Belle playing her Elmo online game she will complaint that her game loads very slow unless she plays it using my laptop, then she has no complaint. Due to it, she prefers my laptop than the desktop. :(

Is the slowness due to the ram or the processor? I am not a computer geek so I am not so sure which to upgrade. The ram or processor. Btw, processor can upgrade eh?

Ferrero Rocher Gone!

Clarissa, Food 6 Comments »

Daddy look! This is what left of the Ferrero Rocher I bought for you yesterday. That’s why I told you to keep at the shop, you don’t want. See what happened now??? I just left it for about 2.5 hours and your 3 little mice helped you finish them.

When interrogated, the eldest said that she and the youngest ate one only. The rest gone to the most mischievous mouse, your dear Clarissa.

She has been asking for it since the moment she saw it but I kept reminding her that, those belong to Daddy and she has to ask Daddy’s permission to eat them. I guess she telepathies to you for permission but you did not get the message. So she assumed that silence means YES.

Snacks for Church

Barnabas, Belle, Clarissa, Dove, Food, Parenting 13 Comments »

Every Sunday when we go to church I will surely bring some food and snacks for my children. We normally don’t have enough time to eat our breakfast at home because we usually wake up later on Sunday and we have to be in church by 10am which we hardly do. :P

Last Sunday was their Daddy’s turn to preach during church service. So I make sure everyone is awake by 8.30am because I do not want the preacher to be late.

I packed extra food because we can’t leave right after the preaching has ended. There might be altar call and hubby needs to pray for them.

This is what I packed for them: 3 fat sausages, 1 full medium size tupperware of Fried Bee Hoon, 3 Bananas and I make sure Barnabas have his milk before we leave.

They wallop all the sausages during the journey to church.

Once we entered the mother’s room, they ask for their Bee Hoon. Gone in 15mins!

15 mins later, they saw the banana. They ate in two batches. By the time their daddy starts to preach, no more food and water (2 milk bottles) for them!

Then they started pooping. Of course they get hungry after that.

During preaching, they wallop other mommy’s snacks; biscuit and cornflakes! Eh! Mommy malu tau!!!

Next Sunday, I am going to fill my Dove tote bag with cornflakes, honey stars, biscuits and chocolates; for them and also for other children too.

Children arh, no matter how nice are our snacks, other people’s snacks still taste better. Hor? Hor?

Lingerie Webstore, Anyone?

Computers & Internet, Finance No Comments »

I know a blogger that has a webstore that sells lingerie but I was so surprise to learn that another blogger friend of mine; a guy, senior citizen just started a webstore that sells lingerie too!

It seems that lingerie is selling like hot cakes over the internet. That is why he jumped into this lucrative business. He even offers to guide me on how to start one. I have to put that on hold first. I need to spend as much as my time with my children; no time to promote this kinda business. ;)

Graduate with 1st Class Upper

Education No Comments »

In the university, when I was in my final year, we had to do an Archeology project paper that weighs 40%; 60% from the final exam. I was so upset that the lecturer accused me of submit a Plagiarism Paper; he failed me without even consulting me first. Normally other lecturers does that, they won’t simply fail you. I went to see him to explain the whole situation but the only thing I got was his apology. There was a miss-communication but he can’t do nothing much because the result has been submitted to the exam board.

In the end, I just got a B for my Archeology instead of an A which I was so confident that I can get. If the lecturer did not fail my so called Plagiarism Papers. I am pretty sure I would graduate with 1st Class Upper.

Studying in the university and writing Non-Plagiarized Term Papers is so easy nowadays provided you have the money to spend. Just pay the professional and I am sure your 40% is secured.

Can I have the above put up on my birthday? You laugh arh? You tell me the truth? You sure don’t wanna try it???

Let me put it this way…can I have the above from Water Slide Party Rentals for my children’s birthday? Ahhhh…that’s sound more appropriate right? But then arh, mommy have to slide with them, they scare to slide down the Inflatable Party Rentals by themselves.

See, see, in the end, mommy also can have fun right? So what is wrong getting the Party Rentals company put up the water slide on mommy’s birthday? Both mommy and children will play together too. =P

Hi! My name is Belle. What is your name?

She has not decided on their name yet. Undecided whether to give them Chinese name or English name.

She even nap with them this afternoon!

I just hope that the tortoise won’t be sacrificed by Clarissa! Barnabas don’t even dare go near it. :D

More Drawings

girls

Nice or not Belle’s drawing? I noticed that she is learning to draw nicer faces.

BUT…she drew on the wrong piece of paper. That’s her daddy’s sermon notes. Not the old ones but the one that he is preparing for this Sunday’s preaching. Daddy got a lil bit upset but did not scold her; she cried anyway. ;)

Knowing that she loves to draw, I bought a sketch book for her but she seldom want to draw there. She will still draw on any other papers but not in her sketch book.

When asked “Why?” Her reply, “Wait finished how?” I told her that I will buy new ones but she still try not to use her sketch book whenever possible.

To me, her drawing is precious but to her, she will draw when inspiration comes. No time to take out her sketch book to draw. ;)

New Car or New Heart

Finance No Comments »

As much as I want to own a new car, I do not want to be in debt for 9 years. Since I am no longer working full day and soon will totally stop, my income depends on blogging only which is very unpredictable. What if no one rents both my apartment, then I will be more burdened financially.

Again, I have to put on hold that dream, that desire to drive a brand new car. I have to be content with my current old junk. I was thinking, since the body of my old junk is very strong and solid, I would just get a used engine from midwest auto recycling to replace the current ones. I am sure my car can “fly” after getting a new heart. ;)

Tricks

Clarissa, Health 4 Comments »

I told her that she can only remove her specs when she wants to sleep and bathe. And I have been tricked with “Mommy I want to sleep” or “Mommy I want to bathe” since the first day she started wearing her specs. She’ll get use to it soon.

Oh ya, I have to record this down. The moment she put on her specs, I felt the headache as if I am the one wearing spectacle for the first time. She did not complaint. I guess God transferred her headache to me. :D

Well, I am getting use to seeing her with specs. She does look prettier and sweeter with it. It highlights her small eyes. :D

Now she fall less often. No more running into our patio furniture and fall down.

Strangers that we met in the market, teachers and relatives took pity of her.

Please don’t. You are making me feel more sad.

My Specky Girl

Clarissa, Health 12 Comments »

Introducing my new Clarissa.

specky

This lady saw her and me on webcam last night. She commented that Clarissa look more like me now! :D

I was very upset at first but now it has slowly sink in. I have to accept the fact that I can’t do nothing much about it now. It is all in God’s hand. I believe, In His Time He will make all things beautiful. :D

How I detect it? Well, this is how she watches TV and see the computer screen. Notice how she stares? And she will go near to the TV no matter how many times we make her sit far away from it. This all began when she started watching TV when she was around 2 yo. Before that, she is not interested in watching TV.

b4

At first we thought that is a habit until recently hubby told me to take a look at her eyes when she watches TV closer. She does not stare when she go close. And during the recent Zoo trip, she did not show any interest in watching the animal show even though she likes animals a lot. I guess the stage is too far for her to see.

So we brought her to see an optometrist on last Friday after my colleague told me that her son watches TV the same way as Clarissa.

computer

The computer shows very high result. More than 400 and her astigmatism is high too.

subjective

After seeing the optometrist, it is not that high but still very high to us. My power is less than 200. The optometrist prescribes a longer power for her. Left 325, Right 150 Astig/150 Shortsighted. And we need to send her for check up every 3 months.

after

This is how she watches TV after wearing her glasses. No more staring.

Now I know why she does not show interest in school. She can’t see!

Now I know why she often fall down and knock herself. She can’t see!

I felt so bad scolding her for being clumsy all this while.

Mommy is so sorry, Clarissa!

Prescribe Medicine with Medical PDA Software

Education, Health No Comments »

My dream is to see my children to go into healthcare when they grow up. Either a doctor, pharmacist or nurse. Since we are going to be a missionary family, having that skill is very priceless. They can really serve in the mission field. With the medical PDA software prescribing medicine is never easier, as long have you have a PDA, Smartphone or even an iPhone.

This Epocrates medical reference software is now used by over 500,000 healthcare professionals to access the information needed to make prescribing decisions such as drug dosing, side effects and health plan coverage.

With the advancement in technology, everything is getting easier. Anyone can become a doctor then? Nah…people in the healthcare need passion and patience.

“This announcement was paid for by Epocrates.”

No Dirty Restaurant

Belle, Food No Comments »

With Belle, we must spend more when it comes to dining out because she refused to eat at dirty places such as hawker stalls or those old restaurant.

Last night, we went to Newton Hawker Stall at Banda Hilir for dinner. The moment we step out of the car, Belle said, “Mommy, I don’t want to eat at dirty places.” But she has no choice lar. :P

Today, I brought my mom to Malim Market to buy some pork and chicken. So we were saying that we shall eat at the food court next to it. Again Belle said, “Mommy, I don’t want to eat at dirty places! I want to eat at clean restaurant.” Her wish came true because the food court is closed today; Malacca Historical City Day.

So I brought them to Old Taste Kopitiam which is in Malim too. She is very happy with it but not Mommy. :( Spent RM22 just for breakfast. If we eat at hawker stalls, half the amount only leh!!! :P

Btw, I can’t deny that the food at Old Taste is good. The White Coffee is also “cow-cow”. I took a sip from my mom’s; I can’t drink coffee. :D I might need the sleep wedge if I drink too much of it.

You Will Burst if You Don’t Exercise

Belle, Health, Parenting 5 Comments »

Belle kept urging me to exercise. This is out of the norm.

Belle : Mommy, you go on your CD now and exercise. Let me play with your computer.

Me : Later lar. Now is so hot.

Belle: Wait you fat how? Later your stomach burst like the frog. Wait I show you.

She went to look for a book from the bookshelf.

You know the story about The Frog Who Likes To Boast? Never heard before? Well since I EFNTD, let me tell you the story…

A little frog is jumping about happily in a field. A bug bull later comes by to eat the grass in the field. The little frog has never seen such a big animal before. He is very frightened. He quickly hops and goes home.

Soon the little frog reaches the edge of the pond where he lives. He sees his father resting on a lotus leaf. “Father,” says the little frog, “I saw the biggest animal in the world.” The fatherf frog looks at his son and says, “Of course he can’t be bigger than me.”

“It’s not true, Father,” says the little frog. “He is much bigger than you!” The father frog is proud and not so clever. He begins to fill up his stomach with air. “Is the animal bigger than this?” asks the father frog, showing his big round stomach. “Father,” says the little frog, “the animal is much bigger than that!”

Well, you can figure out already on how the story goes. The father frog keep on filling his stomach with so much air that it burst!

So that’s where Belle got the idea that my stomach will burst too coz I have not read the story to her. She just saw the pictures and guessed that the frog tummy grew bigger due to too much eating.

Now, can you imagine how round my stomach is? :(

First Aid Kit

Health No Comments »

In the house, we have the First Aid Cupboard; a self made mini cupboard that contains ointments, cotton buds, keys, batteries, thread, needles, one cent coins, yellow solution, Kinesio Tape, some cotton and no paracetamol pills. I think I should get some.

When it comes to emergency cases like what happened yesterday, I panicked and I didn’t know what to look for even though everything is right in front of me! I can’t find the tape or the yellow solution.

Thank God hubby is around. If not, I think I will just be holding onto Clarissa’s finger and cry along with her!

First Cut

Clarissa, Family 4 Comments »

first cut

Look at my poor lil girl. She accidentally slashed her finger with the knife when she was under the maid’s care! Her first cut by the knife!

I didn’t know what happened exactly. All I know, I heard her cries. Not the usual “she fall and hurt her knees kinda cry”. She was really in pain. I rushed to the kitchen and the maid told me that Clarissa insisted that she wants her knife and Clarissa accidentally cut her own finger.

I wanted to scold the maid for letting Clarissa took the knife from her but I was more concern about the amount of blood that is oozing out from Clarissa’s lil finger; the cut was quite deep. I panicked, called hubby to look for any solution to stop the bleeding while I went to get wet tissue to clean her wound. Thank God it stopped after I press it down with the wet tissue.

With some yellow solution, a handyplast and a short pray for healing by Belle, she started posing for my camera. :D

She slept after that. Once she woke up she told me that it is longer painful. ;) She is a tough girl. Then I brought everyone to my mom’s coz I know she has some Minyak Gamat that is known to expedite healing process.

My mom reminded me to warn the maid never ever let the children play with any sharp object even if they insisted on it. Actually I didn’t want to confront the maid about this. To me, it is a small matter. Accident happens. I am sure she is in shock too. But then since she is quite soft with my children, giving in to all their demands, I spoke to her about it.

I hope none of this will happen again.

I wonder whether I can claim from my car insurance, opps! I mean medical insurance for this cut.

He Talks

Barnabas, Parenting 2 Comments »

22 mths

Today this “pretty” boy of mine is 2 months away from his 2nd birthday. I felt like I have been having him for years already!

I guess it was not easy for me to take care of him for the first and a half year of his precious life. For the first 100 days, he followed the US time; our 12noon is his 12 midnight. He is VERY clingy to me. I had minor surgery due breast infection; it took months to heal. Then there was my family problem and hubby just started his own business; no income for almost a year now. That’s adds to my “suffering”. Time isn’t flying for me. It crawls.

Above all these Barnabas has lived up to his name; Son of Encouragement. He is truly an encouragement to all of us. He is smart, very cheerful, helpful and very caring too. Taking care of him is a breeze now. Everyone loves him so much. Due to it, he has become extremely manja.

Praise God that he is finally talking now. Showing effort to pronounce words that we tell him to say. It started right after his 21st month birthday. And he is speaking more English than Malay now. :P

His sisters help a lot. “Barnabas, say Mah Mee.” He will say, “Mom”. And that is what he calls me. I kinda like him calling me “Mom”. I hope he will stick to it. :)

Do you know that the blue lotus is the symbol of beautiful? I did not until today.

Not only that it is a beautiful flower, it has many benefits too. Since it is related to beauty, blue lotus has been used in anti-aging creams, sensitive skin care, mild cleansing products, sun care products, hair care for sensitive scalps and many more beauty products.

I also read that it is widely use in massage therapy to increase in lymphatic fluid circulation and an increase in blood circulation. I sure need this kinda massage therapy. When you do not follow strictly the confinement dos and donts, whole body aching after a long day with the kids.

Trip To The Melaka Zoo

Yes! We went to the Zoo.

And this is the first time they hurry me up to get ready.

“Mommy, faster!”

All this while, it was “Clarissa, can you please hurry up? Faster get into the car!!!” “Belle, faster wake up!”

I tagged along because I worried that Clarissa might jump into the animal sanctuary (cage). She is fearless. And also so that they would have some photos from this trip. Oh! I must make sure I delete my old pix inside my SD card. :)

We went there by the school bus. A few other mommies came along too.

Mommy, do I look like Orang Utan enough? :P

Thank God that we did not have to walk much. Just one small round which after 3/4 way Clarissa exclaimed, “Mommy, I think we need a rest now.” Pemalas betul!!! :P

hot

It is so hot Mommy, where is our tramp?

We took a tramp to tour the whole Zoo and at the end of the tour we watched animal show. Just some parrots, a Vulture, an Eagle and Orang Utan showing off their skills. Clarissa didn’t even bother to watch. I think Animal Planets is more interesting. :) Anyway, Belle enjoyed it.

We arrived home around 12.15 noon and I got splitting headache due to the hot weather. :(

Cold and Hot Fun

Belle, Family, Fun, Holiday 2 Comments »

When I was in the Snow World, I really thank God that I am living in Malaysia even though every other day I would complain on the hot weather and dreaming about living in “Snow World”. I can’t wait to get out from there and head for the hot sun but since we paid so much for it, we stayed until our time is almost up; we came out earlier coz my lil Clarissa can’t stand the coldness.

Out from the cold, into the hot water we went. Not immediately though. We walked all the way back to our room and changed to our swimming attire and walk all the way back to First World Indoor Theme Park into the Rainforest Splash Pool.

The water is really really hot. At first we felt like needles poking our legs when we first step foot into the water but after a lil while we got adjusted to the temperature. Oh! It was a bliss. We had a good massage from the water fountain. We had so much fun sliding down the water slide. I did the forbidden way of going down the slide and reminded my girls not to follow what I did! Hehehe. Instead of just sitting down and slide down, I lay down on my tummy and go leg first then head first, then hubby follow suit! We had so much fun doing things that we weren’t allowed to when we were kids.

Enough about Daddy and Mommy, let’s talk about Belle and Clarissa since this is their blog.

Belle did not go on the water slide in the beginning. She just observes Clarissa and me went on it for a few rounds. First round, I hold Clarissa’s arm and we slide down together. Second round onwards, I let her go. Later she went up there all by herself. And then played at other smaller slides all by herself. She is one brave and daring girl.

Belle, I hold her arm for the first and second round and on the third round I planned to let her go. On the way up the slide, she kept telling me to hold her but I did not answer her because I am not going to hold her this time. Notti Mommy hor?

So we sat down together but I let her go and slide down all by herself. I was expecting her to scream and scold me once I reached down there but she smile and told me that she want to do it again all by herself. Yay! Breakthrough!!!

At first I went with her a few rounds then later she went with Clarissa while I waited at the end of the slide.

We played there until they girls really had enough and willingly came out from the pool.

For me, this is the best part of the Theme Park. If I go there again with just hubby, I think I will splash there again. ;)

X-Tray Techincian

Education, Health, Work No Comments »

Let’s say one day one of your children came back from school telling you that they want to study to become a x-ray technician. Will you freak out? I think I would. I do not want my child to die earlier than me due to radiation exposure.

Well, I am sure there will be safety precaution for x-ray technician since they will work 40 hour weeks. The use of shielding and diagnostic technologies, along with stringent recording and regulation of cumulative exposure, has all but resolved the radiation exposure. And the pay is not bad at all; x-ray technician can earn more than $55,400.
