No More Shee-Shee

Clarissa, Education, Parenting 8 Comments »

When I went to fetch the girls from kindy just now, one of their teachers told me that Clarissa can speak Chinese. You see, they don’t really teach 3 years old to speak Mandarin. They are there to learn the ABC, painting, colouring, singing, dancing and playing.

The teacher told me that she longer say, “Teacher I want to shee-shee.” Instead she said, “Lau Se, Wo Yau Chi Siau Pian.” corrected by Chooi Peng “Lau Si, Wo Yao Qu Xiao Bian.” She said the one I wrote means I want to eat urine! I told you I am banana. :P

Her teacher is so proud of her. Mommy too! :D

Swing Like A Pro

Family, Menceceh, Sports No Comments »

My dad plays golf because he worked in a golf course since the day I was born. I still remember him teaching me how to swing the golf club. Many times he told me to swing gently. Don’t over swing it. I thought must swing with all my might to get the golf ball fly. But he did not explain the reason behind it.

According Physical Therapist, Jim Clark, there are ways to avoid over-swinging. One of it is controlling how the joints are allowed to move. With the author’s extensive knowledge about the brain, joints, and muscles, he developed The Perfect Golf Swing which allows one to know exactly how his body should move to strike a golf ball with consistent power and accuracy.

You might be the next Tiger Woods if you really practice on your golf swing with the tips provided by Jim Clark.

Not Enough Rice

Family, Food No Comments »

So once we arrived home, I quickly fry my one and only instant Roti Canai, a few slices of Tulip luncheon meat and 4 eggs. By time I am done, hubby already scoop the rice for his girls but not for his boy. So I took a small bowl to get some rice for Barnabas. To my surprise the rice left in the rice pot is just enough for MIL. But I still take a lil bit for my son. Then quickly feed him.

By the time he is done, I just realised that there is only one plate of rice on the table. Hubby was eating the Roti Canai. Belle wanted more rice so I gave here my portion. Must feed the children, Mommy never have enough also never mind. So I just ate whatever that is left. At that time I was angrier. Clarissa can’t finish her rice, so hubby took hers. Very pitiful ya, eating our children’s left over.

When we are almost done, hubby told me to get the children to sleep early so that we can go supper but I slept with them too. I was too angry and too tried (slept 4 hours the night before). However, I woke up at 12.30am because I heard hubby having a video conference with his sister and BIL who is living in UK. Get up to kaypoh! hehe. Wanted to go for supper after that but it rained. :(

Where Is Our Food?

Family, Food 5 Comments »

I was so pissed yesterday evening!

We went to the clinic to buy flu and cough syrup for Clarissa. Yes! She is coughing again. Looks like the cycle never stops. Belle started coughing a lil bit today. Must force them to drink cod liver oil already.

Neway, there is a restaurant beside the clinic so I suggested to hubby to have our dinner there. I ordered noodles and fried rice only. I didn’t have my watch with me at that time but my girls kept telling me that they are very hungry and they sang below song out loud!

Shi Shang Zhi You Ma Ma Hao.
You Ma De Hai Zi Xiang Ge Bao.
Tou Jin Ma Ma De Huai Bao,
Xing Fu Xiang Bu Liao.
Mei You Ma Ma Zui Ku Nao,
Mei Ma De Hai Zi Xiang Ke Cao,
Li Kai Ma Ma De Huai Bao,
Xing Fu Na Li Zhao?

They got the tune correct but not the words! It was so embarrassing coz other customers was smiling at them! I told them to stop singing, they sang even louder.

The table next to us came later and got their food first; steam fish, sweat sour pork, chicken and veggie. 4 dishes! Ours is only two, not prepared yet.

I think it is more than half an hour and my girls kept complaining that they are very hungry and didn’t want to stop singing and running around the table. So I told hubby to just pay for the bill and go home. No need to ask where is our food. We waited long enough. If I were to go to pay the bills, I will sure scold them!

“Is it because I ordered 2 cheap dish, you put our order aside and prepare the more expensive dishes for other customers? You think I cannot afford to order your expensive dish meh??? 10 Luminox watches, I also can afford lar.”

So we head home with an empty stomach. :(

to be continued in next post…too long lar. :P

From Internet Cafe to Selling Sunglasses?

Business, Finance, LoLa 2 Comments »

If people ask me about hubby’s business, I would tell them that it is not making money. It is because I don’t see hubby bringing any money into our savings account. The sales are just enough to cover the operating cost and overheads. So you might wonder why hubby still wants to keep the business then.

Well doing business takes time so hubby is giving the business another 2 years to proof its profitability. If it still not making money by then, then no point giving so called “free services” to the community there. Either we look for other location or he might consider going back to practicing law. I don’t think he will go full time blogging. Write 4 post a day said he already exhaust his mind!

Maybe he should consider selling Sunglasses at his shop since most of his customers are young adults. I heard that selling Wholesale Sunglasses can generate quite higher profit margin.

Protect Your Child Eyesight

Family, Food, Health, LoLa, Parenting No Comments »

My children spend a lot of time on the computer and watching TV too. Especially Clarissa, she will go near the screen even though we told her to sit/stand far away. How to protect her eyesight like that? One of the ways that I know is drinking or eating carrot. My children will eat the carrot in their soup, in their omelets, in fried noodle but they dislike drinking carrot juice.

Today I discovered that Goji Berries has more beta carotene than carrots! But what is Goji Berry? So I did Google search on image.

goji

Oh! The Chinese called this “Kei Chi”. I have this in most of the herbal soup that my mom cooks and also in our herbal drinks. I had this a lot in my special confinement drink too. My mom told me that it is very good for eyesight and as energy booster. Do you know that Goji Berries have been used in traditional Asian medicine for over 5,000 years? Must get my mom to boil more soup with Goji Berries for my children.

Now the Western world has discovered the benefits of Goji Berries and bought a lot of them from pollution-free valleys of the Tibetan and Mongolian Himalayas; selling them in dried form and also as juice. So parents in the Western country, don’t loose out in giving the best for your children and your family.

Tough Boy

Barnabas, Parenting No Comments »

My boy may look softy but he is sure a tough boy.

He was playing catching last night with his sister, so I took this opportunity to fold my clothes. You can guess who he ran too when being chased. To me of course and mess up my folded clothes.

He tripped and knocked his forehead on the cement floor. He cried; came to me; rub his head and then he went back up running after his sisters.

Tripped again. This time he knocked the side of his eyes; cried. Belle sayang him this time. But he still wants me. Rub, rub then back to chase his sister.

Tripped again. This time he just cried but did not come to me. Stood up and continued running!

Looks like having fun overcomes all pain. :)

Log Cabin House

Family, LoLa No Comments »

After living in the village for most of my life now, I can’t imagine living in a terrace house with just a small spot of land in front and behind my house. The only place that my children can enjoy outdoor is by bringing them to the park or playground in which I have to keep an eye on them all the time. In my own compound or garden, they can run and play freely and I can do my house chores without worrying much about their safety.

If ever we need to move from the current house that we are living now and if God really bless us financial, we would love to buy a big spot of land and build a house to call our own. If it is possible I would love to live in a Log Cabin House. All logs, I am sure it is very cooling to live in this kind of house.

I am not so sure whether we have this kind of house here but I can easily get Log Cabin House Plans from HousePlansAndMore.com. You might not have the same liking as me, that is why there are also the English Cottage House Plans and Small Ranch House Plans. You can also get the estimated price of your house the website.

No Candy For Belle

Barnabas, Belle, Clarissa, Food, Parenting, Shopping No Comments »

In general ALL children loves candy but that is not the case with Belle. She does not like sweets unlike Clarissa and Barnabas. It is not that she does not like sweet stuff, she loves chocolate but she just doesn’t favor sweets.

Since Christmas is coming, I am sure you plan to send something to my children (hint, hint) :P please do not send candy ok? But if you insist, this Mommy loves candy too. Let me give you a tip. To save money, you can order in bulk from bulk candy store. I am sure the price is much cheaper that buying from the supermarket. :)
