In His Time

Hubby was approached by a lawyer friend, asking him to consider joining his firm because hubby was a lawyer before. He is a law graduate from MU but to practice law is not his interest. His interest is more in business and technology. I wonder why he did not consider to study business in the first place. If you have passion for business, Gibbs College has what you need.

Anyway, I think to him it will be a waste of his STPM result to take other course other than law. He dreamed to be an elite in the society but after being part of the elite, he found that there is nothing special about it. It is just the same, people are the same whether they are in the legal profession or not. Being elite does not brings him the satisfaction in life.

Belle can really stay awake every night just to be able to sleep with me.

You see, Belle sleeps on our king size bed and Barnabas and Clarissa will sleep on the single beds. Every night I have to lie down beside Barnabas till he falls asleep. If not he won’t sleep even though he is no longer breastfeeding. Still wants his mommy’s smell. So, Belle will wait till Barnabas fell asleep and me, most of the time and then wake me up to sleep with her on the king size bed!

“Mommy, wake up! Barnabas sleeps already.”

Me, blur-blur…”Ok” climb up the king size bed and continue sleeping beside her.

Barnabas doesn’t really like sleeping on the king size bed because it is quite far from the fan. He sweats a lot when sleeping! Just like his daddy.

I think most mother have this problem. So far I only know a handful of children that loves eating veggie. Maybe their mother is a veggie eater too like Karen Cheng. As for me, I only eat veggie when I am an adult when I am more health conscious. That also very little. I prefer eating fruits, my children too.

This is how I trick my children to eat veggie…

1. Cheer them up when they eat. This does not work all the time.
2. Hide them in omelets. This works ALL the time
3. Veggie in their favorite Bee Hoon. This work 90%. If the veggie is not thinly cut and they noticed it, they will take it out.
4. Veggie in soup. Mostly carrot because it is soft.
5. Salted veggie. Belle’s favorite but I don’t think there’s much nutrition in it.

So far, that’s the only way they will eat veggie. How about you?

When family members get together what do they normally do. Gather around the square box and watch the latest movie on DVD or take off the t-shirts and lie down on the cool cement floor and sleep. Well, that is what normally they do when they come back here for the weekends or during school holidays.

The time I see all of them talking to each other is at the dinning table. Eat and talk. That’s not really healthy. When I fetched the girls from kindy just now, Teacher Koh came to me. “Your Clarissa is so cute.” she said. “She told me, Teacher, I want to sleep. I asked her to wait while I go get the milk from her bag. But there’s no milk. So I told her that your mommy did not bring your milk. Then she said that Mommy said I cannot drink milk! In that case, I told her that she cannot sleep and she did not sleep.”

This year, you can asked such a question. Next year, you ask the same question, no more cute. Sure kena scolded one!

I Want Another Computer!!! Apple would be great. A few of my friends just bought the Apple Macintosh laptop. I want too!!! Then I can freely hand over my current computer to Belle. No more fighting with her to use the computer. If not, I will have to beg her, “Belle, can you please let Mommy do work (blog) on the computer? Pleaseeee…” “Wait for a while, I finish my game first ok?” she replied. Her “a while” can be as long as half an hour!

When I get my Apple, the first two games that I will install are the mac solitaire and the mahjong. I will get them from Midoritech.com. A computer is not complete without the solitaire. That is the first computer game I played and that is the only game that kept me occupied when I was bored in my hostel room during my varsity.

As for the mahjong, I fell in love with it ever since hubby introduced the real mahjong game when we first dated. This online mahjong games is slightly different that the real ones. This one is more like a matching game.

Belle saw me played a few times and she did try playing it but she got bored after a while. Maybe not colorful enough for her. I think I will need to install children mac games for her. Just in case I need to use my old PC back.

This is the new addition to my family. Not mine! My sister’s that is teaching in Kuching. Yup, my mom is back.

She is Dylan’s baby sister. Weigh 3.25kg at birth. She is sure heavy compared to her brother’s birth weight at 2.79kg. She may look small but she is sure heavy for her age. My mom said she has “Tulang Besi, Urat Dawai!”

Last Friday, I noticed there’s some whitish stuff on Barnabas lips. I thought maybe it could be the milk stain because he did not drink water after milk to wash it away. On Saturday, it is still there. Managed to forced open his mouth and to my horror, it is the same fungal infection that Clarissa got when she was around his age. Whitish spots on his upper lips, lower lips and tongue. It is not painful though. Looks like ulcer but it is not.

I remembered I still have the oral gel for it. Look for it and found a few types of gel in my drawer and called the child specialist clinic to confirm which one. It is called Daktarin Oral Gel. Squeezed some into his mouth, 2 to 3 times a day and by yesterday it is gone. Praise God.

The last time Clarissa got it, she was still crawling and she sucks her finger. I think for Barnabas, for the past few days, there’s too much outdoor and eating rambutan by himself. You know, hands dirty, hold rambutan and eat. Normally, he doesn’t put his hand in his mouth unless he is holding something edible. Before this, he often play outdoor but no infection coz, no food given to him.

This will be minimized by today as my mom is back and he will be indoor all the time there.
