Durians are budding
Food March 29th, 2007At home, we are left with only one durian tree that bears fruit. They rest, either they are too old or they are still young.
This is the time of the yea where you wish it won’t rain & no strong winds. If it rains heavily with string winds, most of the durian bug will drop. Meaning by July, you can actually count the number of durians left on the tree.
I think this is the nature’s way of selection. The weak will fall, the strong will survive. If there are too many, then the fruit won’t be good and big.
When I look up the tree…â€Wah!, So many flowers. I wish all will “jadiâ€. The next day, I see most of them have dropped to the ground.
BTW, I don’t like the durian’s smell especially after you have open them. More so the smell that comes from someone that just ate them. I like the taste and texture but not the smell. It can cause me to gag & vomit.
