MIL and the maid arrived home around 7.40pm last night. It was a relief seeing them. Especially the maid. Not that I am not happy to have MIL back home but am happier with the maid around.
This maid is not from a poor family. A Christian from Manado, Indonesia. She studied until 17 years old, that’s equivalent to Form 5 here. She celebrated Christmas every year with turkey and Christmas tree. I think the last I had turkey for Christmas was 3 years ago! She has most electrical items in her house there. So it was a breeze teaching her on what to do. Gave her a list of the basic house chores schedule.
She told me that she wakes up at 5am everyday. I told her, 5.30am would be fine. This morning I was awaken by my son’s milk call at 5.30am and the maid, Yulin has not wake up yet. Oh well, maybe she’s tired from the travelling yesterday. After finish feeding my boy, I heard the back door being open. She woke up.
I did not continue my sleep as there are a few things that I need to show her the how-to. While waiting for her to finish sweeping and mopping, I prepared my son’s meal, boil water, taw the fishes, cook rice, wash blanket (just dump in the washing machine) and hang my laundry.
I hope that she will be a blessing to the family.
A burden liften up.
Oh ya, I asked her to get all the frogs out from the house. Instead of just catching and throwing them outside, she hit it with the broom and packed it in a plastic bag! Poor frogee.
