Lost My Temper

Barnabas, Belle, Business, Clarissa 9 Comments »

Some of you may think that I have no temper. You are very wrong. I used to be a very short-tempered person. But since I know Christ, I have changed to be a better me and learn to have more patience and control my temper. I’m not an angel yet, never will be.

I lost my temper at Belle last night. Screamed at her on top of my voice and I got a lil bit sore throat now. :(

Barnabas went for his monthly check-up at the clinic yesterday and got a jab on his thigh. By evening, he had slight fever and he cried non-stop due to the pain. I see that he is a lil bit pampered. My 2 girls never cry before due to the jab. He didn’t even want me to breastfeed him. So I express my milk and bottle-fed him while he lie down on the bed. Can’t touch his leg. Sure scream one.

My mom left for shopping without feeding the girls their dinner. I have not bathe.

While feeding Barnabas, I noticed that Belle took the muffins paper casing and played with it.

“WHO TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN PLAY WITH MOMMY’S THING!!? Put it back on the table.” I screamed at her.

That took her by surprise and she cried immediately and obeyed. I think this is the first time that I really screamed at her.

Clarissa was taken aback too. When I put her in the baby seat, she climbed out. I told her, to get back in the seat, she immediately obeyed. On other days, she’ll just ignore me.

Once I reached home, I switched on the air-cond to cool me down. Then get Belle to entertain Barnabas while I get a quick shower.

After shower, Barnabas doesn’t want to be put down. Carried him while the 2 girls played and mess up the bedroom. Gave some paracetamol syrup to Barnabas, then only he suckle and nap for a while, that was around 10.30pm already. Took this opportunity, to change the girls to their pyjamas and get them to keep their toys.

By 11.15pm, everyone is ready for bed. Next, I felt a peck on my forehead and cheek. Hubby is back. Dunno what time. I was too sleepy to greet him.

Around 4am, Barnabas woke up, crying, do not want to drink and very restless. His temperature was a lil bit high. Placed a wet hanky on his forehead. Gave him some medicine. Carry him for a while and breastfed him back to sleep. Thank God that he did not cry so much.

7.30am, my phone alarm sounded. I was still very sleepy. Had a dream about hubby. In that dream, I tried to seek for his attention but was always ignored by him. Due to the business, we hardly spend time together. (sob sob sob…wipe tears) 10 mins later, I dragged myself out of bed to get ready for work and send them to my mom’s.

Update: During lunch just now, apologised to Belle for what happened.  :)

The Bus trip and the Wedding

Belle, Marriage 2 Comments »

Sleeping in the bus, on the way to EQ Bangi
We hired a super coach to bring us to Bangi but they sent us a school bus. The journey was slow and bumpy. Not because of the condition of the road but I think the bus is kinda aged! hehe. The wedding ceremony supposed to start at 3pm. We arrived at 3pm. :) Belle was very excited being in the bus and did not allow me to take a short nap but she can. :P

Look, I got blue tongue.
Due to the very good response, all of us that came in the bus and the late comers did not get a chair to seat. We got place to seat lar but no chair. On the carpeted floor. That’s where we are seated, licking our lollipop and chit chating among ourself.

With Jason & Leishia
During the processional and when they recite their marriage vow, I got goose-bum all over me! Btw, that’s the only moment we at the back here paid attention to. Didn’t get to see the Jason smooch Leishia also. Hundreds of heads blocking us. Leishia, be sure to bring ALL your wedding photos back to Malacca and MUST stay overnight at our place. That’s an order! hehe.

In the bus, I’m going home!!!
We left Bangi at 6pm and arrived Malacca at 7.45pm. We watched Cars (the cartoon movie) not the cars on the highway :P on the way back.

I don’t enjoy the bus trip at all. But Belle don’t mind it at all. She wants to do it again.

I don’t want to marry Leishia

A close friend of ours is getting hitched tomorrow. The wedding ceremony will be in Equatorial Bangi tomorrow afternoon.

Past few week Belle has been telling me, “Mommy, I want to marry you.”

I was like, “Marry???” I have not mention it to her before. So I told her that we are going to attend Uncle Jason’s wedding. Uncle Jason will marry Jie Jie Leishia.

“But mommy, I don’t want to marry Jie Jie Leishia, I want to marry you!” said Belle (read it in a mat-saleh slang, that’s how she speaks…hehe).

“We are going to see them get married. Not you marry her.” I said.

We will be travelling there by bus. Belle is so excited about it. She has been telling me that she wants to ride on a bus. I’m excited too. Never sat in a bus for a VERY long time.

It’s time

Patience

“Be Patient, be patient”

That’s what I told myself last night. If not, I think, I might break down, start screaming at my children, or strangle them. Now I know why some parents have the heart to abuse their own flesh and blood.

Since the business started (sort of), my daily routine has changed. After work, do the necessary at home; bathe then by 6.30pm, off to my mom’s. Get the children ready, pack dinner for hubby and off to the shop. We will be playing catching, piggy ride or hide-&-seek. Big space we have. Barnabas will be sleeping. Will be there until 9.15pm. Then head home with the children.

Yesterday, I bake some muffins for hubby, brought it to the shop. Hubby gave it to his customer instead! Upon reaching home, I continued baking. Barnabas does not want to be put down, Belle and Kiki wanted some of the batter. I said, “No”. They insisted. Kiki tried climbing on the chair, got herself stuck. Barnabas screaming and crying on top of his voice with tears rolling down his chubby cheek.

Requested Belle to help entertain Barnabas. She obliged. “But Mommy, Barnabas don’t want to listen to me,” she screamed from the room. Allowed her to taste the batter since she has been an obedient girl.

After putting the muffins into the oven, when to get him. He smiled and started cooing at me! Gave him some milk, hoping that he will be quiet after drinking it. Got dishes to wash and get the girls change into their pajamas. NO…he still wants me to carry him and do not want to sleep. No choice but to put him down to wash the dishes. Him crying again, the girls fighting over a bottle of vitamin C that I just bought.

“Belle, let baby have the bottle!”
“Kiki, don’t open it, you had 2 already.”
“Belle, don’t colour your fingernails with the crayon!”
“Belle, don’t colour baby’s fingernails!”
“Girls, please keep your toys”
“Barnabas, don’t cry”
“Mommy, I want milk” (Belle)
“Come undress”
“Come, wash your feet and brush teeth” (Barnabas crying again when left alone)
“Come wear your pajamas” (Kiki running away from me)
“Mommy, I want milk” (Kiki)
“Girls, sleep.”

Picked up Barnabas and breastfeed him to sleep. Kiki still playing, Belle trying to sleep. “Mommy, ngk-ngk (pass motion)” said Kiki. Unlatched Barnabas, he cried. Brought Kiki to wash and change.

Barnabas refused to latch again. Cried. Wanted to be carried. I was very sleepy. Almost 12 midnight. Kiki was not able to sleep. A lil bit cranky. I asked, “Why” Her replied, “I want daddy” Poor girl… Finally at 12.10am she fell asleep on her daddy’s bed. Put Barnabas back on the bed and try to get him to latch again. He did and all of us slept.

Dunno what time hubby came home.

This is just the beginning. Tough.

Money Grow On Trees

General 1 Comment »

When we often ask our parent for money, they will say, “You think money grow on trees ah!?”

Actually ah, money does grow on trees. Not the notes and cents literally.

My dad wanted to buy some corn to feed his ducks. No cash. Pluck some coconut, sell. 80 cents one. If got ripe mango, sell. 3kg for RM10.00.

My MIL, want some cash to buy fish and vege, pluck starfruit sell.

There you go. :D

3 months old

My boy is 3 months old today.
Very cheerful baby and very ticklish too.
Chubby and cuddly. Hubby loves to squeeze him.
Loves cooing with anyone that talks to him.
Still have very little hair since we bald him at one month plus.
Sleeping on his tummy during the day and on his back at night. Easier for me to breastfeed him.
Drinks 2-3 ounces of milk every 2-3 hours. Formula milk, 5 ounces a day.
He sleeps very well day and night.
My dad can go out to meet his friend anytime now. Don’t need to stay at home to help my mom mind him. “Did you give him sleeping pill?” asked a friend of his. :D

My Gastric

General 1 Comment »

Just discovered that I cannot eat “Pisang 40 hari”. Used the banana to bake muffins. When I ate it, I felt slight discomfort on my chest. It happened twice. 1st time when I bake the same for my neighbour and 2nd time when I bake the same for my SIL.

The lady with 8 children, went to be with the Lord last Friday, breastcancer. I felt so sad for the children and husband too. She’s a pastor’s wife.

A church friend of mine reminded me that when we get pregnant must remember to pray for our health too not just the pregnancy and the baby. The hormonal change might be one of the cause for cancer.
