Check out the above. That’s my Barny boy cooing at 12 midnight last night.

Around 11.30pm, tried to get him to sleep by letting him suckle but he became wide awake half an hour later. Made so much noise, wanting to go out from the room. So, I brought him out and “chat” with him.

The lighting wasn’t good. Next time I put spot light ah :P

Normality

General 5 Comments »

Life is back to normal today. My mom is back and I’m back at work.

I kinda enjoy it being at home with my children minus the cooking part lar.

Waking up after 10am. Not that I’m lazy but Barny boy sleeps very very late at night. Latest 2.30am.

Almost fully breastfeed Barny Boy. 3 ounces of formula milk before sleep at night so that he sleeps thru the night.

I’m also very liberal to them.

Napping time is not the usual time. 4pm, throw the “bantal busuk” pillow to Kiki, tell her to sleep. She’ll obey immediately coz it is way past her nap time.

When they are hungry and don’t like the food I cooked.
“Nah…eat yogurt” or
“Drink milk can?” or
“You eat by yourself lar” Let them mess up…then clean them up afterwards.

Bathing only after they poo-poo. Wash their butt-butt then bathe them.

Now everything is back to the normal routine.

Wake up at 7.30am, no matter what time I go to bed.
Send the children to my mom’s by 8.15am.
In the office by 8.35am.
12.10pm, express some milk.
12.30pm - 1.30pm, to my mom’s for lunch.
5.00pm, express some milk.
5.30pm, back home.
6.00pm, fetch my children.
6.30pm - 10.30pm, family time.
10.30pm, get them ready for bed.
11.00pm-11.30pm, sleeping time for the girls & waking up time for Barny Boy.
1.30am-2.30am, sleeping time for Barny, hubby and myself.

When Nya is away…

I call  my mom “Nya”.

My children is not eating much especially Belle. They don’t like my cooking! I don’t blame them. I don’t like my cooking too! I miss my mom’s cooking. I think ah, if I cook everyday for myself, 45kg is not a problem. hehe.

Belle pass motion everyday and Kiki twice a day. With my mom, Belle once in 2 days and Kiki once a day. Weird hah…don’t eat so much but poo-poo a lot! Hubby said, maybe it is due to the less sitting here. No Astro = No Cartoons for them. So they have been playing, running, cycling, climbing, falling… Maybe that helps with their digestive system. :)

Barny Boy naps a lot in the afternoon. Night time, for the past 2 days he didn’t want to sleep until after 2am. Still couldn’t figure out the reason. We tried not to let him sleep from 9.30pm onwards and let him sleep around 11pm but he will wake up half an hour later and that drags on till 2am or so.

At first I thought that I can never get the chance to blog from home but I do have the time when Barny is sleeping and my girls are playing. That’s what they are doing at this moment. BUT…I prefer to rest than blog when I got free time. :P

Am counting the days for my mom to come back…2 more days to go excluding today. :D

What to cook for them dinner??? Hubby, can “tapau” again ah? hehe

Monday, brought Clarissa and Barnabas for their monthly check up at the goverment clinic. The last for Clarissa. The nurse gave her some de-worm (ubat cacing) syrup. She weighs 10kg at 20 months.

Barnabas got his 1st jab and 2 drops of “dunno” what syrup lar. He weighs 5.45kg. He got slight fever that night and was crying coz his thigh was swollen. Wanted to be carried all the time. I can’t even sit down while carrying him. Must stand up or walk around!

Oh ya…I weigh 50kg!!! Don’t be jealous ah. :P

Away again

I’m away again from my office from today until next Monday.

Today and tomorrow everyone is back to celebrate MIL’s birthday. The chief cook, the Singh BIL, feeding us with pizza and restaurant style food. He bought a basket full of crabs. The sad thing is…I can’t take any seafood. SIL bake cheesecake and I can’t eat that too. Got eggs inside. :(

Tomorrow, we are having banana leaf. Not eating banana leaves but Indian food. I’m sure going to enjoy the mutton curry. :)

By tomorrow nite everyone will be gone except the Singh family who will be here until Friday.

On Wednesday, my mom and cousin will be flying off to Kuching to visit my sis till next Monday.

If I have the time, meaning when Barny boy is sleeping. I might blog from here, home. Till then, see u dearies on Tuesday. :D

Breastfeeding save $$$

Barnabas 3 Comments »

When I was pregnant with Barny, I prayed that God will bless me with sufficient breastmilk for him. The first day, he suckles like a pro. That helps the “production” and the flow of the milk. So, I fully breastfeed him for the first 3 weeks until the day I went for the incision. Since then, it all depends on one side only. I was quite frustrated coz I wanna give the best to him. God knows my desire and blessed me with enough milk from that one side only.

When I started working, my mom mix with formula milk around 5 ounces and the rest with the milk that I expressed and I make sure I go home during lunch hour to breastfeed him.

With this, I only spend around RM40 (900g) a month or more on formula milk. If not it will be 900g weekly = RM160 (based on my girls milk intake then). Barny drinks more than my girls.

I can’t wait to the day when my left breast is completely healed and I can fully breastfeed Barny again. One more month to go… :D

Oh ya, this is the longest time I did not ovulate after giving birth.

Pantang

General 7 Comments »

The meaning of “Pantang” here is to abstain from certain type of food.

I am waiting for the very day when I can eat everything that is edible. That will be another 1 to 2 months time. My lady boss advised that I should pantang for at least 3 months.

Below are the foods that I cannot take to prevent the abscess from recurring:

1. Eggs - that includes everything that has eggs in it. No cakes, no cookies, no muffins. No Wantan Mee also.

2. Chicken - No Kenny Roger’s, No KFC, No Pizza, No Delifrance.

3. Seafood - except fish but only certain type of fish I can eat. So far I have been eating Ikan Jenak & Ikan Parang only.

4. Shrimp paste - Belacan. In Baba-Nyonya cooking, we use belacan in our chili dishes. So, no sambal, asam pedas and kangkong belacan for me. No nasi lemak also. Nasi lemak won’t taste nice without the sambal. No Ikan Bakar, eating ikan bakar is not complete without the nasi lemak.

5. Beans - And every dishes and food that has beans and nuts in it. No Satay Celup too coz the gravy has peanuts in it.

6. Beef - No McD, No Burger King.

So, basically I can only eat fried or steam fish (only 2 kinds), pork and stir fried vege with garlic only.

No wonder I loose weight extremely fast. I am very thin now. I look like a sick person to me. The weight lost is too drastic. I am happy that I am slimmer now but I still can’t believe that I’m back to my original size before I got pregnant with Belle. Almost…coz I’m still breastfeeding. So, that top portion is still big..hehe.

I am going to dig back my good old clothes that I have put away after giving birth to Belle. I love my “slim time” clothing. *grin*

To have this body now, I suffered excruciating pain! If I were given a choice I rather be fat.

Come on…Only 1?

Belle 4 Comments »

Remember how much Belle love her daddy? The answer is 800.

Last night while waiting for my turn at the clinic for dressing, I asked Belle how much she love me. She showed me with her finger, “One”. I said, “One??? It is one million?” “No! One” confirmed Belle.

I am so sad, she love her daddy 800 but mommy only O.N.E.

Maybe ah…I’m number ONE to her! I’ll take that as what she meant by ONE. I am happy again. hehe :D

****

About my dressing. For the first time I take a look there. It was a scary and unpleasant sight. Tak cantik lagi. sob sob sob. Thank God I didn’t see it earlier when there was a big hole there. Maybe I’ll faint! But the doctor assured me that the flesh will grow and he will make sure it will be normal again with minimal scar. He applied a kinda gel to stimulate the flesh growth and a net to make the flesh even. Sounds like cultivating a plant ya? :)

Barny at 2 months

Barnabas, Belle 3 Comments »

On his 2nd month birthday (last Saturday), I bathe him for the first time with the help from Belle.”Mommy, let me try” said Belle. She dipped the hanky into the water, gave it a slight squeeze and dapped onto Barny’s face. At the same time, Kiki was playing with a scoop of cold water. Without me noticing it, Belle took that scoop of water and poured it over Barny. He screamed! “Mommy, I rinse Barnabas”. Poor boy.

We also brought him to church for the first time. He is choosy. Only when Pamela (a pretty medical student, the 1st person besides the nurses that carried him in the labor room) & Alice Lee (a very nice and friendly lady) carried him, he did not cry. Others, he’ll scream!

Oh ya, when Su Yen (one of the youth) greeted him, he looked at her then vomited. Come on boy, she’s pretty. Maybe he was nervous meeting a young pretty girl (except his mommy and sisters lar…hehe) for the 1st time. kekeke.

Please Belle…

Don’t talk so much!

We are in this stage where we have to tell Belle to stop talking.

Sometimes it will make us laugh.

Most of the time it irritates us.

Most of the time I will feel guilty of telling her not to talk too much.

When she was younger (she’s 3.5 now), every words that comes out from her mouth is a joy to us.

Now…*sigh*

Hope this stage will be over soon.

Based on the Glossy Blue theme.
