Bantal Busuk

Direct translation of the above is “Smelly Pillow” :) Another term for it is “Safety blanket”. That’s Kiki’s. Belle’s safety blanket is my comforter (used to be mine). Oh well…

2 nights ago, I left the pillow at my mom’s to be washed. I used to wash it on Sundays but it was too dirty as Kiki dragged it almost everywhere she goes. Kiki was unable to sleep well the whole night. Woke up 3-4 times, changed place 3-4 times. Slept on my tummy, on my leg, snuggle near Belle and back to her place. None of the above gave her the comfort that her pillow gave. Not even another similar pillow to hers.

In the morning when my mom gave her the pillow, she took it, smell it, suck her index finger and fall right back to sleep for another 2 hours without milk! It’s like drugs to her.

The pillow belongs to my cousins, Jacklyn (now 14 yrs old) that was hand down to her 2nd brother (now 13 years old) then to their youngest brother (now 6 years old), all of them my mom used to babysit. They used it for a few months only then it was passed down to Belle who hardly uses it. Until now Belle does not sleep with any pillow. Just her comforter. Now the pillow is Kiki’s and it seems that it will be hers for a very long time. She’s very attached to it as you can see.

A month ago, my mom sews a casing for the pillow. A Pooh bear ones. Insert the pillow in it, hand it to Kiki, she took it and throw it away! I removed the casing; she happily took the pillow and sucks her finger. Bye bye Pooh bear pillow casing. Hehe.

I used to have one myself and it followed me until my uni days. Once I got married I said “goodbye” to it. Got a better safety blanket. :) My brother even better, he has two of it, it used to be my grandfather’s pillow, which my brother likes so much. He gave it to him, my mom split it into 2 small pillows, and now my brother passed it down to his daughter, both.

On Vday

Belle, Clarissa, Food 2 Comments »

My Vday dinner…homemade vege pizza. Did that while my girls chill out in their baby pool… with daddy’s supervision of course.

The pizza is very simple…I used pita bread with herbs which I bought from Tesco, sliced pineapple (which is part of the CNY hamper that my mom received), capsicum, tomato, pasta sauce and sliced cheese. Can’t find mozzarella cheese (out of stock, I guess). I toasted it for 10 minutes. Yummy.

Later in the evening, we brought the girls to Jaya Jusco and let them enjoy themselves at the playground. RM2.00 for 20 minutes per person. While I accompany them, hubby went window shopping. The usual department…computer gadgets.

After that we had a drink at the food court. Hot Leng Chee Kang for hubby & Kiki and Iced Sea Coconut for Belle & myself.

Belle did not get enough of the playground and wanted to go again. Next time, I will let them play for 40 minutes and I must remember to bring a book along. Can catch up on my readings. :D

Just another day

Many will celebrate Vday with their loves one and many also will not. Everyday is a Vday…don’t go waste your money today! kekeke…Love should be express everyday not just one day in a year. :P

Come to think of it, we never celebrate Vday before. Dear, did we ever? Not that I can remember.

Anyway…feel like doing something and going some place today…Maybe I’ll bring Belle and Kiki to Jusco and let them play at the playground there.

Weekend

Belle, Clarissa 4 Comments »

Kiki just love boxes. She likes to go in it and play with whatever that is around her. This was taken in church. She went into a box of storybooks and playing with an old VCR. Later got her fingers stuck in it. Belle helped to pull her fingers out coz this mommy is busy taking pix!

Belle posing with her daddy, in the baby room. Almost everyone in church complimented on her pretty dress and she is very proud of it coz she chose the dress by herself.

Went shopping at Tesco yesterday to buy a 6ft baby pool coz this mommy and daddy wants to dip in with their girls also. Also bought a box of beads for Belle and… she make all by herself a bracelet! Pretty, right? Hehe.

Oh ya…Belle locked me in the bathroom for the second time! The first time, I was bathing, she followed in there and played in the room, it is an attached bathroom. I heard her playing with the latch with Kiki. Next thing I know, I’m trapped. Shouted for her daddy but she came instead and unlatched the door, then giggling away!

The same happened last night. After changing them to their pajamas, told them that mommy want to pu. “I wanna follow”, said Belle. Both my girls followed. I have to close the door, if not Kiki will come in and play with the water. Again Belle latches the door! But I can still hear Kiki playing at the door waiting for me to come out. Scream for help! Belle came to release me! Both of them grin from ear to ear!

I want mommy!

My 2 girls stick to me like glue especially Belle. Everything want mommy to do for her.

“Mommy, make milk for Annabelle”
“Daddy, make milk for you ok?”
“No, daddy don’t make milk for Annabelle, mommy make milk.”
If daddy still prepare the milk for her, she won’t drink it!
When I am too sleepy, daddy will help prepare the milk, hand the bottle to me and I’ll pass it to Belle, then she will drink it.

“Dear, bathe Annabelle”
“No, daddy don’t bathe Annabelle, mommy bathe Annabelle”

“Dear, change Annabelle to her pyjamas”
“No, daddy don’t change Annabelle, mommy change Annabelle”

“Mommy sleep with daddy, ok?”
“No, mommy sleep with Annabelle”

“Mommy, I want shee-shee (pu)”
“Dear, help.”
“No!, Mommy help, I want shee-shee.”

A day will come when she does not need me anymore and I will feel neglected!

Sigh…

She has grown. Very fast. By day. Smarter. More mischievous. More Naughty. Cuter.

Walking steadily, running and of course climbing.

No photo of her here. She can’t stay put for me to get a decent photo of her. The only time she will be still is when she is asleep. So I capture her growing up moments in video.

Kiki’s words (Updated):
1. Daddy
2. Mommy
3. Jie Jie (Sister)
4. Ke Ke (Gong Gong – Grandfather)
5. Mama
6. Please ~ when asking for something with two palms open wide
7. Carry ~ asking to be carried while pulling my t-shirt or shorts/pants
8. Baby ~ this she refers to herself and other baby…sometimes she will say “carry baby”
9. Walk walk ~ that’s the first thing she will say when she wakes up in the morning or after wearing shoe for her
10. Mom Mom (Food) ~ will say that everythime she see’s a container
11. Milk ~ when she’s real hungry, she will ask for “milk milk”
12. Ah Wer (Flower) ~ this refers to leaves too or whatever grows on the tree
13. Dog
14. Duck
15. Airplane ~ pointing to the plane in the sky
16. Tetek (Tits)
17. Pusat (Belly Button) ~ she likes to stick her finger in her belly button
18. Fish
19. Book
20. Elmo ~ she has a pop up toy with elmo in it. She will point to it, saying “Elmo” then go to the drawer and look for Elmo vcd!

24. OK ~ she will usually say this when I stop the car…meaning ok, i can get out of my seat already.
25. Beat ~ beat her sister, who else
26. Bit bit ~ give me a lil bit
27. Ngk-Ngk (pass motion or pu) ~ she will say that seconds before doing it so won’t have to time bring her to the toilet. If she pass motion, she will repeat the word until we clean her up. It is kinda easy for us as we do not have to constantly check her diapers. :D
28. Nana (Banana)
29. Up ~ pointing up
30. Eek Eek (Dirty) ~ whenever she sees dirt or lizard shit.

She has more vocab than the above but I can’t remember so much lar…(can’t be updating everyday! hehehe)

Above are the words that she will say by herself. There are many other words that she will imitate / say according to whatever she hears from us.

She knows how to nod (yes) or shake her head from left to right (no) whenever asked for preference.

She has 2 teeth at the bottom and 3.5 on top. More hair is growing but still no hair cut since we bald her at 1 month old.

She is showing interest in reading. She like’s Jane (Peter & Jane). Sometimes she will take a book and flip through the pages by herself.

She is able to play in the baby pool with Belle without much assistance.

Oh ya, as for the incident in church, I am not going to make a fuss of it. I (We) will teach Kiki how to survive! Kekeke. For instance, I will teach her how to climb down the stairs. At least if she’s gone missing again, chances are, she won’t fall down the staircase. And maybe I need to teach her self-defense too. To protect herself from the kidnapper. Hmm…. something to think about.

Baby Day Out - Almost

Clarissa 8 Comments »

In my previous post I did “complaint” about no CLEAN Babyroom in the church I attend? Well, yesterday during service, I discovered there is more to just a clean babyroom. A LOCKED babyroom.

The room that we are in now is connected to the main entrance to the main sanctuary and the exit door and we are at the first floor. The moment you step out of the babyroom, there’s the exit door.

People walk in and out the babyroom even though it was informed that no adult is allowed except the parents.

Last night, as I was busy listening to other mothers, suddenly I noticed that Kiki is not anywhere in the room. The first thing that comes to my mind is the staircase. Well, Kiki loves staircase.

Ran out the room, and there she is standing outside the church looking down the stairs! I don’t wanna write about all the possibilities that might happened to her…scary. Someone, left the exit door opened!!! She must have followed behind the person that goes out from the babyroom.

After that, my eyes are glued at the babyroom’s door. Making sure it is closed every time, people walk in or out. Then following Kiki around with my digicam!

Sermon: What’s was pastor preaching about ah?

Yellow

Michelle, your true color is Yellow!

You’re yellow, the color of joy and energy — two things you definitely bring to everyone around you. It’s hard for anyone to be sad or lonely in your presence; your sunny disposition and cheery outlook just won’t allow it. The warmth of your personality shines through in the kindness you show friends and family (and strangers, too). Always ready with a lighthearted joke or heartfelt compliment, you know how to make people feel good about themselves, so they can’t get enough of you. Yellow is a warm and inviting color for a warm and inviting person — you!

And…I am wearing Yellow t-shirt now! Kinda like Yellow this days. Hmmm…

Based on the Glossy Blue theme.
