In His Time

At one point we want her to be active; at another point we want her sit down and play with whatever toys given to her.

Belle is the latter one and we want her to be more active like running around the house, climbing, cycling…whatever to make her move and sweat. She is eating well and putting on weight by the days. Very chubby now and that worries me. She has her daddy’s build, round and bigger build. Kept telling her that she won’t be able to wear all her pretty dresses if she is fat but she just ignored us.

Recently went shopping to buy new clothes, as the existing ones are getting tighter! I tried controlling her food intake but she will snack on other food later or ask for milk. The only way to get her to exercise is to bring her to the beach. There, she will run. But by doing that we are unable to do things around the house compound like pulling the weeds and sweeping the leaves. Maybe I should buy a bicycle for her now rather than wait till her birthday in May. She can start cycling around the house. By May she might be getting even fatter.

To hubby: Hey dear, you practice your dart throwing already? When there’s fun-fair, I give you RM10 and you go win a bicycle for Belle. Can save my money. Hehe.

Kiki is the active one. Can’t sit still. She loves eating (daddy’s appetite) too but no worries for her. She has my build, petite and slim. No matter how much she eats, it will be burnt when she runs around the house, climbing, exploring…non-stop. Recently she discovered how to reach high places. She will push a small stool to a higher chair, climb the chair and then onto the table! So now, almost everything is within her reach except the high cupboards. And she’s only 1 year and 2.5 months old!

Belle will be screaming, “Baby, come down” “Mama, you see baby, baby climb” then running to my mother for help. If she’s within her grip, she will grab her by the arm and drag her down. I noticed that Kiki did not struggle when Belle does that. But with us, she will. I think she knows that her sister is not as strong and her mommy/daddy/grandma.

Last night, I requested hubby to pray for Belle instead. After he prayed, Belle turn to me and said “Mommy, healthy body, healthy body” I was wondering why she repeated the word “Healthy body” Then it strikes my mind that hubby did not include “healthy body” in his prayer. So I prayed for “Jesus, bless Annabelle with healthy body”. She smiled.

To hubby:
Her prayer must include 1. Good Night Rest 2. Sweet Dream 3. Healthy Body. A MUST!

Then Kiki climbed on my body as I was lying down on the bed and came real close to me, face to face and whispered “something, something, something” (baby language) then kiss my lips. Awww…she prayed for me too! And…she repeated that a few times and giggled. What a cutie.

Brought the girls to Jusco playground again. This time I brought my mom along to look after them while I go shopping. Unfortunately, my leg muscle got stretched and my toes cramped (maybe due to the cold weather), which hinders me from walking too much, so I ended up sitting in the playground with them for 40 minutes!

Anyway, it’s fun to watch them play and scream (that will be Kiki). While they were in the playhouse, I smell poop. Asked Belle, whether it’s from her, she denied. Checked Kiki’s diaper…clear.

Just as the 40 mins is up, Belle wants to PU, brought her to the ladies. While helping her, the smell pricked my nostril. It must be Belle. Take a look at her undies…yup, she’s the guilty one! Well, I did not scold her because I understand her. She wants to play in the playground so badly, that moving her bowel would cost her the time spent in the playground…lesser time. It was just a lil stain, washed her up and also the undies and got a new one for her. Not new as buying a new ones but a clean one from my car.

At home before bedtime, brought her to the bathroom to PU, she continued her bowel movement. Wow, she can really hold it that long!

My baby is very independent now. Want to feed herself and she’s good at it. Praise God for her development.

The moment I leave her unattended, she will be there, at daddy’s computer. Climb the chair by herself, get the mic and start chatting and typing!

Since CNY, BIL brought home a webcam and leave it with us so that we can chat with our SIL and family who are living in UK. Kiki has been observing daddy, uncles and cousins using the webcam since then. Well, as you can see, she also wants her share.

We planned to go to Kuala Selangor this coming March 12-14, 2006 to watch fireflies. Not gonna link any site here, u can google it tho

Hubby already applied for leave.

Yesterday, lady boss informed me that their whole family is going to China on the same week! Well, when they are gone, I have to be in the office. Sucks!

So, have to postpone our trip to April. That also subject to last minute changes due to the nature of hubby’s vocation.

I really hate this feeling. At one point, you are so excited about it and next, “arrggh”. And now, I am not going to put so much hope for the April trip. Got, got lar…if don’t have, I wanna claim for an oversea trip from hubby next year! Koh Sa Mui??? kekeke.

Saturday in the office:
Craving for donuts. Google for the recipe.
The recipe:
2 cups Flour
½ cup Sugar
½ cup Milk
1 Egg
2 Tbsp Melted Butter
1 Tbsp Baking Powder
½ Tsp Salt
¼ Tsp Cinnamon Powder
1/8 Tsp Nutmeg Powder
Sugar for coating

Saturday at home:
Played with the girls for a while. Around 3pm, Kiki getting cranky. Time to sleep. Make milk for her but she refused to drink. Doze off the moment I gave her her bantal busuk (pillow).

Get all the stuff for the donuts. Belle was so excited to help.
Oh No! No milk. Then I remembered Kiki’s milk. Can also lar…milk also right?
Oh No! No Cinnamon or Nutmeg Powder. Haiya…that’s for the smell only…do without them this round.

Knead, knead, knead…still sticky and soft. Add flour, add flour, and more flour. I think I used at least 3 Cups flour instead of 2.

Later Belle helped to make it into a ball. Roll, roll, roll. She tried some even though I told her that it is not cook yet. Oh well, “Dear Lord, please bless her with a stronger tummy”

Poke a hold in it and form a donut shape, fry it. First donut, burnt and inside not cook. Threw it away. Fire to great, and the dough too thick. The rest turned out ok. Slow fire and thinner dough.

The taste…almost like Dunkin’s Donuts! Hehe.

Finally Belle got a proper haircut. Before, she will struggle, cry and refused to sit on the chair at the saloon. I have to sit with her, got all her hair on me, and later trimmed her hair again during bath time. The most snip the hairdresser got is around 6. Sometimes I trim her hair myself which will take around one hour to complete.

Since I needed a trim also due to many many split ends, I brought her along with my digicam with the video of Kiki and her at the Jusco playground. Got my hair trim first. Must lead by example right. “See, mommy did not cry”.

Then it was her turn…she struggled a bit and refused to sit on the chair and refused to face the mirror. So I started the video to get her attention and to get her to be still. Told her that if she is a good girl, I’ll bring her there (Jusco Playground) again. She got my bait and allowed the hairdresser to trim her hair, still not facing the mirror.

Every night I will pray for Belle and Kiki before bedtime. Basically, the same prayer every night.

“Jesus bless Annabelle with Goodnight Rest, Sweet Dreams and Healthy Body” plus others.

2 nights ago, I requested her to pray for me also. She repeated word by word the above prayer! Of course she changed the word “Annabelle” to “Mommy” lar. I was surprised that she remembered all of it. Before, she will only pray, “Jesus Bless Mommy, Amen”.

That’s my girl.
