On Birthday
Food November 17th, 2005My birthday is coming and hubby wanted to treat me for a buffet dinner at Renaissance Hotel in town. Well, I like the idea coz never had buffet there but on second thought, I decided not to. I am a small eater; the most I’ll go is 2nd round and my “rounds†are small too. For the amount of money that he has to pay, not worth the ringgit and cents.
2nd option is ala carte dinner where there are appetizer, main-course and dessert and nice background music. Here, you can only get this in hotels restaurant and it will cost more than buffet dinner. Not that we cannot afford it but it will be such a waste of money.
For this kind of occasion I don’t really like celebrating it at bistro or crowded place. Ambience not there. Furthermore, your dessert might be served first and the appetizer last!
Maybe I’ll settle for a quiet dinner near the seaside.

2 years back while i was still attached to a girl back in Melaka, i brought her to Riviera Hotel in Klebang, they have a so so ok ok beach there. But it’s fun sitting on the soft sandy beach while enjoying the sea breeze while enjoying some simple home-made hand-held food. Bring floating candles along and lit up the place. But if there’s wind, haha use your champagne glass to protect the candle and drink straight from the bottle! (that’s what i did, didn’t turn out romantic, but was hilarious!) There are some dim-lit romantic bistros by the seaside at Klebang, like PARADISE, and the 1 beside PARADISE(forgot the name, but it’s nicer than PRDS), they are just be Riviera Hotel.
WAIT A MINUTE! SHOUDN’T THIS BE TOLD TO YOUR HUSBAND?!

Kampungkai > thanks for the idea. will explore other beaches too. so… what happened to that girl you dated? she cabut after the “romantic” gateaway at the beach kah? ;>)
November 19th, 2005 at 11:34 am
miche: oh sampan! miss that place… yea they serve good food, i agree with u. And yes Bert’s and Paradise is overcharging their things. Might go down to mlk in 3 weeks’ time.
david: the girl? a sea creature crawled out from the sea, up the shore and grabbed her legs, pulling her into the sea. I think she’s a mermaid now hahah! nah, just kidding. She’s doing good, studying in B.Beruang(MMU). Happy for her that she’s with some1 better than me *cough cough
