General 11 Comments »First of all, ahthiong73 was in Malacca last Tuesday looking for satay celup but did not managed to get it. Either he is too shy to meet me or he did not read my email.
Secondly, Powerpuff was there at the same satay celup restaurant I went yesterday to meet the friend. The satay celup blinded her from seeing me! As for me, I was busy looking out for the friend and holding on to Belle’s hand coz it was a lil bit slippery that night.
So, please people, if you happen to come to Malacca…buzz me ok and treat me satay celup. I don’t eat so much one…the most 15 sticks…usually 10 sticks only
Extra Kenyang!
Food 10 Comments »Yesterday, my bro-in-law registered his marriage. At night we had dinner at a small restaurant in town with his wife’s family. My oh my…this is the first time I am served with so much food. (forgot to take pix of all the dishes and also my camera ran out of battery)
After the 7th dish, we were expecting dessert but no the 8th & 9th dish came. We were like “Hah?! Isn’t this supposed to be an 8 course dinner???
Then we got our 1st dessert. After finishing it, my eldest BIL stood up to thank the family for the dinner but they informed us, there is one more dessert. Oh no! Then eldest BIL said, “We have to fast a few days after this dinnerâ€
Anyway, I am still full now! Below is the list of the dishes:
1. Cold dish (dim sum, yam ring with pork-rib, snail, sotong fritters, jelly fish, fried wanton)
2. Oily steam fish
3. Lemon Chicken
4. Broccoli with abalone mushroom, sea-asparagus, black mushroom
5. Butter Prawn
6. Crab in sweet sour sauce with deep fried mantou.
7. Frog meat fried with dried chili
8. Small Pak Choy with beancurd, button mushroom and meatball.
9. Fried Oyster with eggs.
Dessert :
10. Mashed yam with pumpkin
11. Longan and Laici drink
This is the first time in my life that I have eaten so many dishes in one meal. The first dish already makes my tummy full. I am a small eater. The rest, I just eat a lil bit of everything.
After the dinner, hubby suggested for an aerobic session. Hahaha.
Well, we did have ½ hour of aerobic before bed. Can’t sleep with full stomach.
I did not have a good night sleep. Had weird dreams. I betul, betul makan kenyang already!
This morning, BIL and SIL came home with breakfast, fried bee-hoon, fried noodle and fried kuay teow. They offered me but I told them that I am still full! Hope I did not offend them. I rather tell the truth rather than make myself suffered by stuffing more food in my tummy.
Anyway, I am thankful for the experienced. Now I know how to prepare myself when going out with them (if ever) in the future. Not easy to get to eat so many varieties and it is for free!
Breastfed Baby Dylan
General 8 Comments »My mom told me that baby Dylan finds it difficult to sleep at night without suckling his mom’s. But every time the milk comes out he will cry. I experienced that with Kiki, so I bought a soother for her. My sis does not want to let her son suckle on a soother.
Yesterday, when I arrived at my mom’s place to fetch my dotdots, heard baby Dylan cry but my sis told me that he just drank. So I took him and let him suckle on mine! mine no milk already. hehe He was suckling happily, eyes wide open, looking at me and smiled!!! hehehe
Then my sis decided to get him a soother.
Mommy no go work ah…
Belle 6 Comments »Belle behaved very well today as I left her at my mom’s for work.
Before, she will always cry and will not allow me to go to work, if not bring her along to my office (my mistake-brought her to my office before).
As we were reaching my mom’s (whether day or night), she will repeat this sentence again and again. “Mommy no go work ah†Even though I tell her that I am not going to work, she will still say it again and again.
Even when I am at home, whenever, I am not in her sight, she will shout for me. The moment I answered her, she will ask the same question… “Mommy no go work ah?â€
This morning, she asked me, “Mommy want go work ah?†I answered, “Yes†and she wave “bye-bye†to me with a smiling face.
When I am back for lunch, she asked. “Mommy go work ah?†I answered, “Yes†Then she asked, “Mommy want eat rice ah?â€
After taking my lunch, I walked to the living room to read newspaper. Belle thought I am leaving for office already, she came to me and asked me, “Mommy want go work ah?†I said, “Noâ€. Then she asked for a hug, “Mommy, hug hug†( I got a good tight hug from her…the one that she squeeze you tight tight) then a peck on my cheek. She made my day!
After reading the newspaper I went to the kitchen to look for some fruits. After eating my fruits, she asked me again, “Mommy want go work ah?†“Bye-bye†She made me wonder… why is she trying to get rid of me so fast today! Hmmm…
I asked my mom. She told Belle that mommy needs to work. No work, no money. No money, cannot go shopping, cannot buy pretty dresses, cannot buy new shoes, cannot buy milk, cannot buy ice cream etc. Ahhhh..no wonder!
Now Belle is happy and my heart also no pain pain when I see her cry before I go to work.
Leg First
Clarissa 9 Comments »Last night Kiki managed to get down from our bed, leg first. Before this, it was head first! Thanks to daddy who taught her to get down the proper way.
Left one more “action†that scares me. She likes to stand at the edge of the bed and watch me brush teeth. I am so worried that she will off-balance and fall onto the floor. No mattress at that side of the bed. So, I will be screaming, “Daddy…help! Your daughterâ€
+ * + * + * +
My mom told me that Kiki does not want to sit in the walker anymore. She will be crying and jumping and pushing herself out from the walker the moment my mom puts her in there. Well, she can wal
k around the house now; definitely she wouldn’t want to be trapped in the walker. At least she uses the walker longer than Belle. Belle used it for 3 months only…6 – 8 mths old. Kiki from 5 – 9 mths old = 5 months.
It is time to clean the walker and put it back in the box till my next baby comes.
