RM1 coin cannot be used by December 2005. So we cracked open our piggy bank to get the coins out. The piggy bank is not a pig but a bamboo stick. We have bamboo trees near our house. Chopped it down and make a tiny hole for the coins to enter.

It is quite a thick bamboo. Hubby tried to cut it using the saw…very tiring process. I suggested to him to use the axe, he tried but to no avail and then he patiently saw it until it is cut into 2.

Belle was so excited to see so many coins. When she was slightly younger, she always plays with the coins. I will put the coins in a small metal container; she will pour out everything then put it back in one by one. Then pour it out again and put it back in again and this process repeats until she get bored of it.

After we have separated the coins, we put it in a bag and Belle volunteered to carry it to the room. Not actually carrying, the coins is very heavy, she can only drag it.

Still have not counted the amount…will do after work before fetching Belle from my mom’s. Normally the coins will go to Belle’s saving account, since I have 2 siblings now, will split between 2 of them.

Oh ya, the coins are not mine…all are hubby’s. You know, guys will never keep coins in their wallet or pocket unlike we, ladies.
