I mopped the floor!

Work up at 8.30am this morning. Breastfeed Kiki, Belle drank her milk and they continued sleeping with their daddy. Wanted to wash clothes but mom-in-law is using the washing machine. While waiting I decided to sweep the floor and then mop it. I have not done any of it for almost a year! While mopping, noticed hubby standing at the room door smilling and showing me the “ok” sign. I felt so good getting acknowlegdement from him. Without me realising it, he took another mop and helped me mopped the entire house (our house is very big - mopping the dining area makes me pant already). hehe I’m so proud of him! While we were mopping, Belle sneak out of the room quitely and climbed to the dinning table’s chair. Then she called me. Gave a paper and pen to keep her occupied while we finish up the mopping.

Then I proceed to wash clothes, hang clothes and prepare and cook lunch. By the time I finished, around 11.30am, Kiki woke up. Praise God. Feed her milk, then bathe her, then I took shower with Belle. By the time I get Belle dress up, my mom and sis came and bring her to my cousin’s place. PTL, she saved my day. Now I have time to blog.

Update:
I don’t usually mop the floor due to my health condition. Can’t do heavy work or carry heavy stuff. I was in pain yesterday after the mopping (bearable pain). Usually my mom-in-law or my husband does the mopping once in 2 weeks.

A time with Husband

Since our babies come into our life, we hardly have time spend with each other. Tomorrow, hubby attending meeting in PJ. 2 hours drive there from where we are now. I decided to accompany him there. We will have 4 hours to chat, pray, laugh, or just enjoy each others presence without the kids. Hubby will attend meeting, wife will go shopping at nearby shopping complex, One Utama. Lady Boss said the things there very expensive, cannot buy. Well, since that is the only shopping complex nearby, I shall go window shopping lar. Hope to find some nice clothing for Belle. Bringing a book along “Heaven is so real” by Choo Thomas (a Korean-American lady). Just in case I get bored there. It is a good book. I might write about it when I finished reading it. It is about Choo’s experience visiting heaven.

Updates: Didn’t get to go shopping. Hubby dragged me all the way to his meeting place. He didn’t know the way there, so want me to accompany or… maybe he worry that i’ll spend spend and spend if he leave me at one utama. Anyway, I sat in the church sanctuary, reading “Heaven is so real” from 12.30pm till 3.15pm! It was the first time I read for so long hours without moving from the chair. I read until my eyes got blurred and my head dizzy!

Babyroom

Yesterday, Young Mommy went shopping with Belle. Mom agreed to baby-sit Kiki since now she is easier to care, as she will suck her thump to keep herself occupied rather than crying when left alone in the cot.

We went to Jaya Jusco. Throughout the journey, I was entertained with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by Belle and her questions of “where is …?” We also have a pet talk on how she should behave towards her mommy and daddy. Cannot slap mommy. Yes! She playfully slapped me a few times. I caned her for that but she refused to say sorry. Such a stubborn girl must be from her daddy’s genes. Must hug and kiss mommy and daddy when she sees/say goodbye to us. She agrees to it. It works, this morning, before leaving for work; she gave me her butterfly kiss. 

My shopping list: Dress for Belle and mosquito repellant refill.
Things purchased: Mosquito repellant refill, Mince beef (for pizza topping), Butter (for cake), Beef Salami (to make sandwich for dinner), Bacon (for breakfast) and cultured drinks for Belle.
Dress for Belle? Nothing pretty for her. Clothes on sale are the leftover from Chinese New Year.

Then… the thing most mothers feared when bringing kids shopping happened to me! Belle pass motion! She stood still. I asked “You poo-poo?” She said “Stop!” It took her more than 5 minutes to move from the spot. Then I asked again, “Did you poo-poo?” She said, “No!” I took a peek in her diapers. Eeewww, it is a soft one. The convenience of shopping in JJ is they have babyroom and parent with children toilet (very spacious and dry). Clean her in the toilet and change her in the babyroom.

I wish all other major shopping complex would be able to adopt this. Then more mothers will go shop there. I think mother spend more that those single young ladies. Most children’s clothing is much more expensive than adults’ clothing. Most mothers are willing to spend the extras to make their children look pretty and handsome. Especially mothers with girls. Am I talking about myself? Hmm… sometimes.

Stupid Dog

This morning as I was about to come out from the junction from my house, there was no car on the road. As I was about to cross, a white car came from my right, speeding! I stepped on the brake hard and reverse. Then I heard a loud “tump”. Poor Belle, she was standing behind when I was driving and she knocked her head on the rubbish box behind the handbrake (i don’t know what it the correct term for that thing). Her forehead was very red due to the knock. :(

Around 200m from the junction, a few dogs running across the road. I hit one of them and my Belle fell again! This time she went rolling down. Didn’t hit anything thou. Thank God. She was crying as she was not able to bring herself up. I got to stop there car, carry her out, console her a bit and back into the car to my mom’s place.

The last accident that happened to my husband was at the same place and the same senario. He hit one of the dog who went charging across the road. Poor him as he was on the motorbike at that time.

Stupid Dog! Stupid Dog! Stupid Dog!

Latest: Belle is feverish now. Maybe due to the double shocked she received this morning! :(

My company has not been employing new local worker for almost 2 years as we have sufficient foreign workers. Recently, a few of them went back and we are short of manpower. To apply for new foreign worker takes quite sometime, so we employ a few locals.

Their attendance has not been consistent. Some of the reason given: Grandfather pass away, Grandmother sick, Fell from motorcycle etc. However, they managed to give valid documentation to support their absentee. But I still wonder whether the man that dies was really his grandfather or the grandmother, is she his grandmother or neighbours’ mother that so happen to visit the hospital during his absence from work???

Yesterday, the company gave out advance salary to the worker. This new workers requested the amount more than their actual working days. I gave the half of it. They are not satisfied and asked for explanation. I explained to them lar. One of them insisted to be given the amount requested because he has motorbike installment to pay. He said loan to him first. I told him, “You work here not even 2 weeks and you want to borrow money from the company. Moreover your attendance is not consistent. Sorry, that is not allowed.”

Later at night my husband discovered that my car back bonnet was scratch from one end to the other! I immediately sms my Operation Manager to inform him about it as he is in-charged of them. I was not so concern about the scratch as it was an old car but more about the attitude of those local workers. I wonder what more they will do if we do not agree to their wants.

To terminate them, we have no proof. Today, I informed the guard to look out on my car and I locked my car doors. Usually my car is not lock. No reason to before they come.

Today, my Operation Manager is on-leave. Later we need to discuss on ways to terminate them. It is hazardous and dangerous to keep them here!

On Saturday, as I was surfing the net, I dropped by Air Asia website to see their latest promotion. Suddenly it strikes my mind that I will be away for 4 days in April with husband and kids attending church camp in Port Dickson. Why not send parent to Kuching? My brother and sister just shifted there due to job posting.

After checking out the total amount needed. I decided to sponsor them there. No saving for April month lar. A bonus for taking care of my kids. Some companies give company trip to their employee. I believe, they should be getting more than a company trip or annual dinner. (for those who did not read my other blog, my siblings are saving to send them to China next year).

Immediately give a call to mom, to ask dad, whether he will agree to it as I have to booked fast as to get the cheaper rate. After work, ask mom on dad’s decision. He agreed! He said he have not been to Kuching for more than 20 years. He went there for a gasing (tops) tournament. As this is their first time flying on their own, I called my aunt, asking whether her kids (flew to Kuching a few times) would like to accompany my parent. At first, she said no. No money. But then, later at night, she called saying 2 of her kids wanted to follow. Praise God.

Husband came back from church service and gave me a cheque from one of the church member that I bought insurance from. She gave 20% of her commission from the insurance that I bought from her last year. The amount is more than enough to cover for the flight ticket. I remembered informing her not to give me as it is hers and she needed it more than me. But she insisted that when she has sufficient, she would give because she has promised to give.

I remembered this song from a Christian singer, Ron Kenoly, “Give and it shall come back to you. Good measure, press down, shaken together and runneth over” This line was taken from a bible verse. Can’t remember where is it (shame on me!).

When you give out of a sincere heart, not expecting for any returns, God sees our heart and will indeed bless us indeed in many other ways. I think as for me, God knows I have no extras when it come to $$$ but I am still willing to sacrifice it for those who needs it. And His blessing is so timely. I recalled one occasion when the same person gave me cash on the same week my car needs urgent repairs and many other occasions when God meets my/our needs.

Well do I still worry about money? Well, I still do but I cast it upon Him. As His word says “Cast all you anxiety on Him for He cares for you” 1 Peter 5:7

Kiki 3 months old

Clarissa is 3 months old today. She growing prettier and smarter each day. Her physical and mental development is much faster compared to Belle at her age. Praise God for that. She is learning to turn already. Hair, still botak. Her hair growth is very slow. My mom said, I was like her. She looks very much like me! Small eyes and a smilling face. Hehe.

Massage

Belle gave me a neck, shoulder and back massage yesterday :)

The day before, I asked hubby to massage me and was observed by Belle. Yesterday she did the same to me while I was breastfeeding Kiki. Today, after lunch, I requested Belle to massage me. Her answer was “Didi?” (meaning, telling me to ask didi to do it). So lazy at times. Hmmph.

Hi5!

My Hubby taught Belle to count 123 in Malay with his fingers yesterday night. After 2 rounds, hubby just show his finger and Belle will say out the number. Satu, Dua, Tiga, Pat (empat),… When it comes to number 5, instead of saying “Lima”, she gave her didi a High 5! We had a good laugh at her cuteness. :)

Who Do I

Dove 4 Comments »

You ask me who do I
Say that you are and I
Say that you are the Christ
Son of the living God

This is how we taught Belle to say grace:
Thank You Lord
For the Food
In Jesus name, Amen

This how Belle say grace:
Lord
Food
Amen
